Yeah, it's really great.

I don't know if you're >>118165 or not, but I want to kiss you. Not sure how I thought it aired in the 2006+ range.
I remember liking it while watching, no clue how I ever stopped. I guess it's either worse than I remember or it gets terrible, because 6.5 is horrible score for MAL users.
As for the recommendations, i've watched/read them.
Hakumei to Mikochi I found to be a little boring and I dropped it (haven't read it however). Yokohama is nice, so is Mushishi. I dropped Girls' Last Tour for incredibly autistic reasons, I can't be bothered going into it.
Since you mentioned Mushishi, I thought I would say that I have also watched/read Natsume Yuujinchou, Mononoke.
Here's some more random recommendations:
>Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san
100% fits into the iyashikei genre that was mentioned. I found it a little boring for the first 10~ chapters as cooking is usually boring as fuck, but then I binged this great manga.
Within the winding streets of Kyoto's geisha district, there lives a 16 year old girl named Kiyo. After failing to become a Maiko, an apprentice traditional Japanese performer, Kiyo works as the caterer for her troupe. This is the story of her daily life.
>Innocent
In the 18th century, seeking "freedom and equality", the event that became the starting point of modern French society, the French Revolution, began. There was one more protagonist that lived within the darkness, Henry Charles Sanson. He was the fourth generation family head of the Sanson Family, and executioner of Paris.
This is the historie of him nobly facing the harsh fate. It has a great sequel, which is uncommon.
>Plinivs
It portrays the famous naturalist Plinius. From volcanic explosions and tidal waves to the ecology of plants and animals, the work reproduces the world of Natural History, the Plinius encyclopedia describing the universe. This is a definitive historical Roman romance depicting the world 2,000 years ago through astounding composition and realistic draftsmanship.
