The company on Monday set the price of the Shanghai leg at 68.8 yuan ($10.27) per share. Before the greenshoe, it was offering 4% of the initial 1.67 billion shares to mainly retail investors across the country, having earmarked 80% of the domestic offering to 29 strategic investors who will be locked up for at least one year. The remaining 16% of the Shanghai leg had been allotted to non-strategic institutional investors who subscribed for about 76 billion shares, roughly 284 times the initial tranche, according to Ant’s filing on Monday.

The enthusiastic retail investor sentiment towards Ant’s record-setting float has triggered a clawback mechanism where heavy oversubscription from small investors can result in them receiving a greater share, Ant said in the latest filing. After the greenshoe and clawback, the final allocation of the deal is about 70% to strategic investors and the remainder split 12-18% between institutional and retail investors, instead of 16%–4% as originally planned, as per the latest filing. Ant opened books for the Shanghai float for one day on Thursday. Investor demand is also strong for the Hong Kong leg, with Ant closing institutional order books one day earlier than planned.

The book was oversubscribed just one hour after launch on Monday, with the float stoking heavy demand for local currency and sending Hong Kong money market rates to five-month highs. Strong demand is also expected for the 41.76 million shares, being offered to retail investors in Hong Kong, representing 2.5% of shares being offered locally.

The prospectus shows the total amount will be increased to 167.1 million shares, or 10% of the Hong Kong offering, if the initial retail allocation is more than 20 times oversubscribed.

Lodi City Council candidate arrested for laundering money through gambling

A Lodi City Council candidate and Stockton business owner was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of money laundering, along with other criminal charges, the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office said.

Shakir Khan is accused of maintaining a gambling premise as the owner of “American Smokers Club” on Waterloo Drive in Stockton.

In a conversation with ABC10, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office Sandra Mendez said that a search warrant was served at American Smokers Club.

That investigation effectively “opened a can of worms,” Mendez said.

Former President of nuclear transportation company gets prison in scheme to bribe Russian official

A Maryland businessman convicted of plotting to pay a Russian official more than $1.5 million in bribes to get lucrative contracts for transporting uranium was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison.

Mark Lambert, a former co-president and part-owner of Transportation Logistics International Inc., apologized to his family, friends and the court “for allowing myself to be found in this predicament.”

“I hope the court also agrees that I’ve led an otherwise good life,” he told U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang.

The judge, who presided over a three-week trial for Lambert last November, said this type of “reprehensible” corruption undermines American values and unfairly disadvantaged other businesses that operated with integrity.

“This is the type of offense that may just seem like the cost of doing business, but it does run contrary to the values of our nation,” Chuang said.

A jury convicted Lambert, 57, of four counts of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, two counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to violate the FCPA and commit wire fraud. Jurors acquitted him of three FCPA counts and one money laundering count.

Lambert’s company secured contracts to transport nuclear materials between Russia and the U.S. The radioactive material being transported could be used to generate energy in nuclear power plants or could be further enriched to become weapons grade uranium used in nuclear arsenals, according to prosecutors.

“To state the obvious, the transportation of nuclear materials is particularly sensitive not simply because of the hazardous nature of those materials, but because of the terrifying potential consequences of those materials falling into the wrong hands,” prosecutors wrote in a court filing,

Prosecutors had recommended a prison sentence of more than 12 years. Lambert’s attorney had asked the judge for a sentence of home confinement.

Justice Department prosecutors said Lambert paid bribes through offshore accounts to Vadim Mikerin, a Russian national who was director of JSC Techsnabexport, or TENEX, which was indirectly owned and controlled by the Russian government. TENEX supplied uranium and uranium enrichment services to nuclear power companies across the world on behalf of the Russian government.

Lambert’s company received more than $11 million in illegal profits from the scheme, according to prosecutors. They said the company earned nearly $33 million in revenues from corrupt contracts with TENEX between 2007 and 2014 but also incurred nearly $22 million in costs associated with the contracts.

Lambert “chose illicit self-enrichment over any regard for the safety of the community or integrity of the international marketplace,” prosecutors wrote.

My Resignation From The Intercept

The same trends of repression, censorship and ideological homogeneity plaguing the national press generally have engulfed the media outlet I co-founded, culminating in censorship of my own articles.

Today I sent my intention to resign from The Intercept, the news outlet I co-founded in 2013 with Jeremy Scahill and Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media.

The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.

The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.

I had no objection to their disagreement with my views of what this Biden evidence shows: as a last-ditch attempt to avoid being censored, I encouraged them to air their disagreements with me by writing their own articles that critique my perspectives and letting readers decide who is right, the way any confident and healthy media outlet would. But modern media outlets do not air dissent; they quash it. So censorship of my article, rather than engagement with it, was the path these Biden-supporting editors chose.

The censored article will be published on this page shortly. My letter of intent to resign, which I sent this morning to First Look Media’s President Michael Bloom, is published below.

According to these screenshots, Twitter suspended Morgan’s account for attempting to publish a tweet that was supportive of the border wall because it apparently going against its hateful content policy.

The first screenshot showed the offending tweet, which contained an image of the wall being constructed and tagged the accounts of CBP and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, read: “.@CBP & @USACEHQ continue to build new wall every day. The fourth section of the document, “Compensation,” reveals that “at the time of execution of this agreement” Ho would pay Hunter Biden a sum of $1,000,000 as a retainer.

Ho, however, was described by Hunter Biden himself as the “Spy Chief of China” in an audio recording obtained exclusively by The National Pulse.
