Conservative group to argue that Media Matters should have been ineligible for PPP loan

Patriots Foundation claims group founded by Clinton ally is political organization 'as everyone who has ever followed them knows'

EXCLUSIVE – A conservative group will file a complaint with the Small Business Administration Tuesday alleging that liberal nonprofit organization Media Matters for America was ineligible to receive a federal Paycheck Protection Program loan because the group functions as a political organization.

“Media Matters is a political organization, as everyone who has ever followed them knows,” Patriots Foundation president Craig Robinson told Fox News in a statement Monday.

“Other political organizations, like campaigns and state parties, returned their PPP loans,” Robinson added. “We are asking the SBA IG to investigate this matter to ensure that taxpayer dollars were not improperly sent to an organization primarily engaged in political activities when SBA rules specifically prohibit it.”

A source close to the situation told Fox News that the Patriots Foundation also plans to argue that Media Matters made too much money in 2018 to qualify for a PPE loan.

>Who told POTUS to Trust Wray?

Perhaps Rosenstein

–Big League Politics has learned that Attorney General Jeff Sessions personally wanted Rosenstein to be his No. 2 at the Department

of Justice, and that White House counsel Don McGahn smoothed the matter over with President Donald Trump. Sessions has a relationship

with Rosenstein through a well-connected Washington lawyer named Charles Cooper, who is a University of Alabama alum and who

represents Sessions in the Russia case.– Cooper interviewed Rosenstein when Sessions was considering making Rosenstein his number

two, and Cooper signed off on Rosenstein. Cooper saw confidential Iran-Contra documents alongside other Reagan administration

officials in a 1986 meeting at Old Ebbit Grill, a restaurant in the nation’s capital.

>Rosenstein is also a close personal friend of FBI director Christopher Wray.
