Hunter Biden Group Touted Joe Biden In Investment Pitch To Chinese Firm

 

Joe Bidenโ€™s relationship with Colombiaโ€™s president is highlighted in an investment proposal that Hunter Biden and a group of business partners made in an investment pitch to a Chinese energy company in 2017.

Hunter Biden and his partners sought a $10 million seed investment from CEFC China Energy, a company whose chairman had close ties to the Peopleโ€™s Liberation Army.

The Biden consortiumโ€™s 42-page investment outline from May 15, 2017 features Joe Biden shaking hands with Colombiaโ€™s president, and proposes investments in a Colombian oil field and a pipeline from Venezuela.

 

In 2017, Hunter Biden and a group of business partners seeking a $10 million investment deal with a Chinese energy firm touted Joe Bidenโ€™s friendly relations with Colombiaโ€™s president in their sales proposal, which suggested a series of oil investments in the South American country, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

 

Hunter Biden and four other businessmen, including his uncle James Biden, highlighted the former vice presidentโ€™s positive relationship with Juan Manuel Santos in a May 15, 2017 investment outline for CETC China Energy, a Chinese energy conglomerate.

 

The Biden consortium, which would be called SinoHawk, sought a $10 million seed investment from CETC China Energy, with a goal of eventually securing billions of dollars in investments in the U.S. and around the world.

 

The report is part of a trove of records held by Tony Bobulinski, a California-based businessman who was part of the consortium with Hunter Biden, James Biden, and two other partners.

 

Bobulinski has provided the documents to a Senate committee investigating Hunter Bidenโ€™s business dealings. He said at a press conference last week that the records show that the Bidens โ€œaggressively leveragedโ€ their family name to secure foreign business deals.

 

Bobulinski also said that he met with Joe and Hunter Biden in early May 2017 to discuss the Chinese deal. Joe Biden has long denied discussing business with his son.

 

The Bidensโ€™ involvement in the partnership was a key selling point to CEFC China, according to other documents obtained by the DCNF. But the 42-page investment outline is the only document from Bobulinskiโ€™s records that explicitly touts Joe Biden contacts with foreign leaders.

 

The investment outline, which is marked โ€œSensitive and Confidential,โ€ mapped out prospective investment opportunities for CEFC China Energy in Oman, Romania, Luxembourg and Colombia.

 

โ€œThe relationship between Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos and Joe Biden has been a strong one throughout the Obama administration,โ€ reads the document.

Mission

The E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System, or Joint STARS, is an airborne battle management, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform. Its primary mission is to provide theater ground and air commanders with ground surveillance to support attack operations and targeting that contributes to the delay, disruption and destruction of enemy forces.

 

Features

The E-8C is a modified Boeing 707-300 series commercial airframe extensively remanufactured and modified with the radar, communications, operations and control subsystems required to perform its operational mission. The most prominent external feature is the 27-foot (8 meters) long, canoe-shaped radome under the forward fuselage that houses the 24-foot (7.3 meters) long, side-looking phased array antenna.

 

The radar and computer subsystems on the E-8C can gather and display detailed battlefield information on ground forces. The information is relayed in near-real time to the Army and Marine Corps common ground stations and to other ground command, control, communications, computers and intelligence, or C4I, nodes.

 

The antenna can be tilted to either side of the aircraft where it can develop a 120-degree field of view covering nearly 19,305 square miles (50,000 square kilometers) and is capable of detecting targets at more than 250 kilometers (more than 820,000 feet). The radar also has some limited capability to detect helicopters, rotating antennas and low, slow-moving fixed wing aircraft.

Online retail giant Amazon is ensuring a lucrative future in UK government contracts, guiding a โ€œsecretiveโ€ Cabinet Office panel on making policy on post-Brexit procurement of goods and services, a fair tax advocate has revealed.

 

The US internet behemoth, whose CEO Jeff Bezos is said to be the richest man in the world, sits on a panel set up by the UK Cabinet Office to make binding decisions on public sector procurement post-Brexit, the Fair Tax Markโ€™s Paul Monaghan told UK outlet the Mirror on Sunday.

 

The Cabinet Office refused to supply minutes from two 2020 meetings in which Amazon representatives were present with Lord Agnew, minister for efficiency and transformation, the Mirror claimed in its report. Amazon reps were also said to be present at a pair of 2019 meetings alongside Cabinet Office minister Oliver Dowden, who has since been appointed culture secretary.

 

โ€œThe manner in which Amazon is embedding itself into national and regional public procurement in the UK has long been cause for concern,โ€ Monaghan explained, adding that the companyโ€™s presence on this โ€œsecretiveโ€ panel tasked with setting government policy going forward is โ€œtruly frightening.โ€

Amazon appears to have benefited quite massively from the business advice it has given London, having secured 82 central government contracts over the past five years, worth a total of ยฃ225 million ($293.5 million). It runs the central marketplace in which local councils buy supplies via an exclusive deal. And its apparent guiding hand in post-Brexit policy seems to fly in the face of PM Boris Johnsonโ€™s pledge to change procurement rules to favor smaller local firms after the UK leaves the EU.

 

Frances Oโ€™Grady, the general secretary of the British Trades Union Congress, called out the retail giantโ€™s โ€œexploitative business modelโ€ and slammed London for โ€œrewardingโ€ its misdeeds with โ€œa seat at the table on an influential Government board advising on public procurement, on top of the multi-million-pound Government contracts it [already] receives.โ€

 

The Fair Tax Mark, which rates businesses on the transparency of their tax payments, has previously accused Amazon of dramatically underpaying UK corporate taxes. Last year, Amazon UK Services paid just ยฃ14 million ($18.3 million) in taxes on total in-country sales of ยฃ10.9 billion ($14.22 billion), part of a pattern of behavior the group has described as โ€œaggressiveโ€ tax avoidance by American Big Tech firms.

Election Interference: Google Suppresses Breitbart News in Search โ€“ Even with Exact Headline

 

Google, the worldโ€™s most powerful technology company, is actively interfering in the coming election by burying links to Breitbart News in its search results.

 

In July, Breitbart News published data showing that Breitbartโ€™s Google search visibility is down 99 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

 

RealClearPolitics later published data corroborating this, and showing that the same silent expulsion from Google search results has happened to a variety of other conservative news websites as well.

 

It appears that Breitbart News links are being hidden on Google searches even when users search for the exact string of words in an original Breitbart headline. When links to Breitbart stories do appear, it is often below obscure websites that plagiarize Breitbartโ€™s content.

 

Search ranking is critical for web traffic from Google. The search analytics industry has found that the top three search results on Google drive over 70 percent of clicks.

 

In a new video, Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow reveals in additional detail the depth of Googleโ€™s suppression of Breitbartโ€™s reporting.

 

โ€œBreitbart News is, according to Amazon-owned Alexa.com, one of the top five news publishers in the United States, yet if you search โ€” verbatim โ€” Breitbart headlines in Google, you wonโ€™t necessarily get any Breitbart results at all,โ€ Marlow said.

 

The video goes on to demonstrate Googleโ€™s suppression of Breitbart News.

 

In one example, the viral Breitbart News story, โ€œMaskless Nancy Pelosi Goes to San Francisco Hair Salon Despite Coronavirus Restrictions,โ€ fails to return any links to the site on Google.

 

Instead, Google displays a list of obscure websites, some of which have plagiarized Breitbartโ€™s article, posting the article and headline in full.

 

Google only displays one link that might lead users to Breitbartโ€™s story, a link to a post about the article on thedonald.win, an independent online forum set up by exiles from r/the_Donald, the Reddit hub of Trump supporters that was blacklisted by the leftist administrators of Reddit earlier this year.

 

The same experiment was repeated with various other headlines, which again yield links to obscure websites plagiarizing the articles.

Black Lives Matter Group Applies to Become Political Party in the UK

 

A Black Lives Matter group formally applied to become a political party in the United Kingdom on Monday, confirming suspicions that the far-left movement indeed has political aspirations in Britain, despite claims that the movement was non-partisan.

 

On October 26th, an application was filed with the Electoral Commission for Black Lives Matter to become a fully-fledged political party throughout the entire UK should the commission accept the request. The group will need to file a party constitution, pay ยฃ150, and submit any logos before being accepted.

 

In response to the move, political commentator and former teacher Calvin Robinson โ€” who is himself mixed race and has suffered racist abuse in the past for failing to hold left-wing political positions โ€” told Breitbart London: โ€œThere surely can no longer be any doubt, Black Lives Matter is a political movement with a political agenda. Anyone who still protests under that banner must be subscribing to their anti-British principles.โ€

 

Former Brexit Party MEP Martin Daubney added on social media: โ€œMany of us who said this was their aim were dismissed as extremists, but it was inevitable all along!โ€

 

The Black Lives Matter movement saw a resurgence in the UK following the death of George Floyd in America, staging mass protests across the country, with many devolving into violent confrontations with police. The group was also behind a widespread iconoclastic campaign to tear down and deface statues honouring British historical figures.

 

In June, at the height of the furore and chaos, Brexit Leader Nigel Farage described Black Lives Matter as โ€œa dangerous, Marxist organisation, hell-bent on anarchy, and we need to wake up, get some facts into our heads, and understand what it is weโ€™re fighting.โ€

A spokesman for the Black Lives Matter affiliate in Britain (UKBLM) denied any connection or knowledge of the group that filed to become a political party, telling the Daily Mail: โ€œWe has absolutely no connection, affiliations or other and no individual or group has informed or made us aware of their intentions of forming a political party under the name of Black Lives Matter. It is not us.โ€

 

โ€œWe are operating as non-political, non-partisan, non-violence Black Lives Matter platform. Some content published on this website may have political elements by the nature of a society and state governed under a system of democracy; however we operate in a humanitarian capacity and concern before all else,โ€ the spokesman added.

 

In the UK, there are many splinter Black Lives Matter groups, and the leadership of UKBLM has remained anonymous, meaning that another faction in the country may be behind the party application without the spokesman who talked to the Daily Mail even being aware.

 

In June, a self-described black radical protester addressed a โ€œconspiracy about Black Lives Matter UKโ€, saying: โ€œThey are real, they are black, and they are in support of all black lifeโ€.

 

She claimed that โ€œour organisation has been in contact with themโ€, adding that BLMUK is โ€œfacilitating the protests but cannot reveal themselves, because there is a great threat from police interception and right-wing interception.โ€

Former Postal Worker Charged for Allegedly Tossing Absentee Ballots in Dumpster

 

 

A former United States Postal Service (USPS) worker faces federal charges for allegedly throwing away mail that included over 100 absentee ballots in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

 

โ€œDeShawn Bojgere, 30, of, Louisville, Kentucky, has been charged with the delay or destruction of mail, a federal crime under 18 United States Code 1703,โ€ the U.S. Attorneyโ€™s Office in the Western District of Kentucky said in a press release Monday.

 

The release detailed the alleged crime:

 

According to the criminal complaint, sometime between October 5 and October 15, 2020, Bojgere discarded a large quantity of mail. The mail, found in a construction dumpster on Galene Drive in Louisville, included approximately 111 general election absentee ballots from the Jefferson County Clerkโ€™s Office being mailed to voters to be filled out.

 

The dumped mail also included approximately 69 mixed class pieces of flat rate mail, 320 second class pieces of mail, and two national election campaign flyers from a political party in Florida. An analysis of the mail revealed it was from a single route for one scheduled delivery day.

 

Bojgere admitted that he discarded the mail in the dumpster, the attorneyโ€™s office said.

 

โ€œBojgere does not appear to have a criminal record in Kentucky, according to a search on the courtโ€™s web system, and a possible motive was not listed in the release,โ€ the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.

 

Authorities retained copies of the mail as evidence and it was later put back in the mail stream for delivery to recipients, the release said.

 

โ€œEspecially in these times, Americans depend on the reliability and integrity of those that deliver the U.S. Mail,โ€ United States Attorney Russell Coleman stated, adding, โ€œConduct by Postal employees that violates that duty will result in swift federal prosecution.โ€

 

If convicted, Bojgere faces no more than five years behind bars, a $250,000 fine, and a year of supervised release.

 

In Wisconsin last month, three trays of mail that included several mailed-in ballots were discovered in a ditch, according to Breitbart News.

 

โ€œThe mail was found โ€˜near the intersection of highways 96 and CB, near the Appleton International Airportโ€™ and was turned over to the postal service,โ€ the report said.

El Chapo Sues Media Outlets for Publishing His California Driverโ€™s License

 

The infamous drug lord โ€œEl Chapoโ€ sued a cartel news focused-blog and several Mexican newspapers for publishing a photo of his California driverโ€™s license in 2013. Univision originally exposed the matter, but it is not named in the recent suit. The document in question revealed that the cartel leader managed to receive a valid ID using a fake name.

 

While the Univision story and reprints were published in 2013, it wasnโ€™t until September 2020 when California attorney Jeffrey Mendleman filed a lawsuit against Borderland Beat, Blogger.com, Google LLC, and several Mexican newspapers including Reforma and El Manana. Several social media accounts publishing citizen journalism are also named.

 

In the case filed in the Northern District of California, the lawyer for Joaquin โ€œEl Chapoโ€ Guzman asks that the convicted drug lord be allowed to file the lawsuit under โ€œJohn Doeโ€ to protect his client from โ€œthe risk that defendants publish additional articles based on the litigation disclosing his identity.โ€

 

Mendleman claims that on June 23, 2020, Borderland Beat published an unredacted photograph of a driverโ€™s license belonging to John Doe (El Chapo) that showed his license number, date of birth, address, and signature. In the suit, El Chapo is asking for $250,000 in damages. The Mexican newspapers and citizen journalists named in the lawsuit also printed stories about the driverโ€™s license.

 

What the lawsuit does not mention is that in November 2013, Univision ran a special segment about El Chapo revealing that despite being a wanted drug lord in the U.S., he managed to get a California driverโ€™s license in 1988. The information for Univisionโ€™s segment was originally attributed to a file from the DEA. In 2013, Borderland Beat aggregated Univisionโ€™s reporting and used the images from the story.

Some in the book told the author it may have actually been accused madam Ghislaine Maxwellโ€™s list, with many only having connections to her and not Epstein.

 

His calls led to โ€œa lot of panicked hangupsโ€ โ€” saying he โ€œspoke to billionaires, CEOs, bankers, models, celebrities, scientists, a Kennedy, and some of Epsteinโ€™s closest friends and confidants.โ€

 

He even called a private number at Buckingham Palace, he told the Times of London.

 

โ€œI called a number I shouldnโ€™t have had,โ€ he told the UK paper of one of 16 numbers he said were listed for the Duke of York in the book.

 

โ€œWhen someone replied, I just asked if Prince Andrew was there,โ€ he said, saying he was patched through to a number of people.

 

โ€œFinally I was asked angrily how I got this number and who I was. Then they hung up on me,โ€ he told the UK Times.

 

Andrew has been accused in legal filings and TV interviews of having sex with one of Epsteinโ€™s accusers three times, claims which the UK royal and Buckingham Palace have vehemently denied.

Adelsons Got a Lot from Trump for $75 Million โ€” But Media Wonโ€™t Tell You What

 

The news late yesterday was that Sheldon and Miriam Adelson poured $75 million in September into a new super PAC that supports Donald Trump. Way more money than other donors, on either side.

 

Many news outlets have now reported the outsized sum, which is plainly important to Trumpโ€™s flailing campaign. Oddly, none of them is reporting the Adelsonsโ€™ number one issue, Israel, or the fact that Miriam Adelson is Israeli, or that the Adelsons are close to Netanyahu, or that our transactional president has done just about everything Israel wants. Nope, the big story is still Russian influence.

 

AP has a sizeable story on the donation with Sheldon Adelsonโ€™s name in the headline, but a neutral characterization:

 

A major funder of Republican causes, Adelson has donated over $250 million to GOP candidates and super PACs since 2015.

 

CNN has the Adelsons in their headline, but the donation seems to be about Miriamโ€™s Presidential Medal of Freedom.

 

In 2018, Trump bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom โ€” the countryโ€™s highest civilian honor โ€” on Miriam Adelson, citing her philanthropic work.

 

Politicoโ€™s report, titled โ€œAdelsons pour $75 million into last-ditch effort to save Trump,โ€ says nothing about Israel but counts up all the Adelsonsโ€™ largesse:

 

The money for Preserve America brought the Adelsonsโ€™ giving to Republican candidates and committees to a whopping $176 million for the 2020 election cycle, according to FEC data.

 

In two reports, NPR also failed to say a word about the Adelsonsโ€™ agenda, though it also cited the medal and another angle: โ€œin April of this year [Trump] appointed Sheldon Adelson, the CEO of Las Vegas Sands, to his council of business leaders who would advise him on reopening the country.โ€

 

As Trump himself said last month, his foreign policy has been โ€œgood for Israel.โ€

 

I withdrew from the last administrationโ€™s disastrous Iran nuclear deal. So good for Israel. So good that we did that.

 

His list of pro-Israel actions includes moving the embassy to Jerusalem, defunding the UN refugee agency serving Palestinians, closing down the Palestinian mission in Washington, recognizing Israelโ€™s annexation of the Golan Heights, giving legal validity to Israelโ€™s colonization of the West Bank, lately harsh sanctions and belligerent language aimed at Iran, and on and on. Itโ€™s obvious that all these actions are what Adelson wants. He helped found the organization One Jerusalem to stop a Palestinian state, says Palestinians are not a people but are actually โ€œsouthern Syriansโ€, and called on the last president to nuke Iran. He has been in attendance at major Trump policy announcements on the issue.

 

When Trump trashed the Iran deal in 2018, Eli Clifton was blunt about his reasons: โ€œthree billionaires paved the way,โ€ including Adelson, Bernard Marcus, and Paul Singer, all Israel supporters. A recent NY Times retrospective on the 2016 campaign was also more frank about Adelsonโ€™s interest: โ€œgambling magnate, Republican megadonor and strident voice for Israel.โ€

 

But today Adelson is in the headlines, at a crunch time in the presidential campaign, when voters are scrutinizing Trumpโ€™s record, and alleged Russian influence is in the news every dayโ€“ and the media avoid the Israel influence like a hot stove.

 

Adelson himself is brash about his interest. He says he wished heโ€™d have served in the Israeli army not the American one, he owns a leading Israeli newspaper and funds an organization for free Jewish American tourism to Israel so that young Jews will marry Israelis. He calls Trump all the time, per Alan Dershowitz, and has told Trump, โ€œthe biggest thing you did for Israelโ€ was breaking the Iran deal, Trump himself said.

 

We understand why the media are squeamish about the issue. They donโ€™t want to feed the antisemitic claim that rich Jews control politicians. But in the Adelson case, thereโ€™s no trope. Heโ€™s not working behind the scenes. He openly loves Israel, is married to an Israeli, and Trump has even acknowledged his influence. Adelson has gotten what he paid for. Itโ€™s appalling that thereโ€™s been no coverage of this angle. At least AP tried to call Adelson.

US Marshals Recover 45 Missing Children During Human Trafficking Sting

The U.S. Marshals Service said it has recovered 45 more children in an anti-human-trafficking operation in southern West Virginia and southern Ohio during the month of October. โ€œOperation Autumn Hopeโ€ was described as a multi-agency law enforcement operation focused on human trafficking as well as finding missing or endangered children. In all, 45 missing children were rescued, and 169 arrests were made, according to the U.S. Marshals, as reported by WCMH.

 

In one of the missing child recoveries, a loaded gun was recovered, officials said. A 15-year-old male juvenile who was found had two warrants for his arrest, suspected in homicide and several shootings, officials said.

An at-risk 15-year-old girl who was missing in Cleveland was also found, the U.S. Marshals stated. She and other possible victims were linked by authorities to a suspect in Columbus believed to be involved in human trafficking. About 20 children were also located at the request of law enforcement for a well-being check, officials said.

 

โ€œMy thanks to all personnel who have stepped up for this operation,โ€ said Peter C. Tobin, U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, in a statement to news outlets. โ€œThese are the same personnel who hunt down violent fugitives every day. Iโ€™m incredibly proud of them and pleased that they were able to apply those same skills to finding missing children. I know Operation Autumn Hope has made a difference in a lot of young lives.โ€

 

Earlier this month, Donald Washington, the head of the U.S. Marshals Service, told Fox News that about 1,300 missing children have been found by the agency since the 2016 fiscal year.

โ€œThese are kids that are in particular danger as a result of either being victims of violent crime or because of who they are. For example, some of them may be in the middle of gang affiliations or in the midst of drug abusers or in the middle of some bad situations involving people who have violent tendencies and things of that sort,โ€ he said.

 

The service has recently made several high-profile recoveries of dozens of children across different states. On Oct. 1, the service announced that 11 endangered children were located around New Orleans, Louisiana, after a weeks long operation. Operation Summer Rescue, which ran from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, involved several other agencies, including the Nashville, Tennessee, police and the FBI office in New Orleans. It worked to recover suspected runaway children.

 

The service also has carried out other operations around the United States, including in northeastern Ohio, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, and Georgia. In those operations, more than 100 children deemed endangered or missing were recovered.

And in Ohio, officials said on Sept. 21 that 35 children were found.

Did Joe Biden Give The Chinese The South China Sea?

As the evidence mounts suggesting Joe Biden was directly involved in taking cash from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) there is a growing chorus of voices raising the possibility that Biden could be blackmailed by the Chinese into doing their bidding in the future. As terrifying as that possibility is it should not be our chief worry. Our primary concern should be not that Biden might be turned. It should be that he has already been turned, and he is already doing Beijingโ€™s bidding. The reality is that in the world of intelligence sources are rarely blackmailed into doing anything. Instead, they are slowly recruited, manipulated, and bought. Ultimately, they are completely in the pocket of whoever is targeting them and doing their bidding. That process may well have begun years ago with Joe Biden, and he may have begun acting on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party when he was still Vice-President of the United States.

 

Consider the confluence of events surrounding Chinaโ€™s seizure of the South China Sea and the almost inexplicable refusal of the United States of America to push back against that aggressive and illegal action. In 2012 Filipino authorities detained Chinese fishermen illegally operating inside the territorial waters of the Philippines. This action was in the vicinity of the Scarborough Shoals. It was also inside the area designated by the Chinese Communist Party as being its territory. Pursuant to this historically unsustainable claim 85% of the South China Sea โ€œbelongsโ€ to Beijing. In response to the legitimate action of the Filipino authorities, the Chinese flooded the area around Scarborough Shoal with Chinese vessels. The Shoal is only 124 nautical miles from the principal Philippine island of Luzon and 550 nautical miles from Chinaโ€™s Hainan Island. It is strategically located in proximity to the entrance to both Manila and Subic Bays. The presence of Chinese forces at this location was, therefore, a direct threat to the national security of the Philippines. Shortly following this confrontation between China and the Philippines, the United States brokered an agreement for both sides to withdraw their vessels from the area. Manila complied. Beijing ignored the accord. The Obama Administration dropped the matter. The Chinese remain in control of the area to this day.

 

In Manila, American inaction was seen as a betrayal. The long-standing American alliance with the Philippines had been tested and found worthless. The cascading impact of this failure to stand with Manila continues to impact our relations with the Philippines to this day. An emboldened China moved to exploit the clearly evident American weakness. Within months the Chinese were expanding into the Senkaku Island in the East China Sea and infringing on Japanese territorial waters. In the South China Sea, Scarborough Shoal proved only the beginning. The Chinese streamed vessels into vast expanses of ocean claimed by the Philippines and ignored Manilaโ€™s demands that they withdraw. Then the Chinese got serious. What began as incursions by Chinese ships transformed into something else entirely. In December 2013, the Chinese began building islands in the South China Sea โ€“ literally creating dry land where none had existed. These islands became military bases. The Chinese deployed forces including aircraft and missiles. One of the worldโ€™s most strategic waterways through which passes a huge amount of critical trade was systematically incorporated into the Chinese Communist state. The new islands were even formally declared by the Chinese to be part of the province of Hainan.

I dunno, baking during the day/doc's normal shift is a fucking shit show. The breads fly by so fast. Especially if anything like rally or Q posts is happening. Mistakes happen. I got Q'd one time, funny thing is, baker at the time ignored my post. Q came in and boom. Imagine my surprise. I was a little annoyed when it got overlooked, but once I started baking, I totally got it. I understood that whether mistake, overlooking, speed of bread, or just thinking it's fake news, not important, or just waiting for more sauce or for the story to develop more, bakers aren't perfect. Maybe if you bake you'd understand how it goes. Shit happens. I know for a fact that I can barely keep up with breads sometimes, so I just do the best I can. Also anons put a lot of responsibility on the baker and often don't help with explanations, titles, links and other sauce, housekeeping, or even calling out notables. More shitposting going on than anything really. Sometimes you have to watch a developing situation/story to see if it's legit or fake news or a shillop. Attention readers, if you are using Google Chrome browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computers, you need to update your web browsing software immediately to the latest version Google released earlier today.

 

Google released Chrome version 86.0.4240.111 today to patch several security high-severity issues, including a zero-day vulnerability that has been exploited in the wild by attackers to hijack targeted computers.

 

Tracked as CVE-2020-15999, the actively exploited vulnerability is a type of memory-corruption flaw called heap buffer overflow in Freetype, a popular open source software development library for rendering fonts that comes packaged with Chrome.

 

The vulnerability was discovered and reported by security researcher Sergei Glazunov of Google Project Zero on October 19 and is subject to a seven-day public disclosure deadline due to the flaw being under active exploitation.

 

Glazunov also immediately reported the zero-day vulnerability to FreeType developers, who then developed an emergency patch to address the issue on October 20 with the release of FreeType 2.10.4.

 

Without revealing technical details of the vulnerability, the technical lead for Google's Project Zero Ben Hawkes warned on Twitter that while the team has only spotted an exploit targeting Chrome users, it's possible that other projects that use FreeType might also be vulnerable and are advised to deploy the fix included in FreeType version 2.10.4.

China Preparing For Biden Administration, Sanctions US Companies Over Taiwan Support

 

China will inflict sanctions on US companies including Boeing and Lockheed Martin for providing weapons to Taiwan, a foreign ministry representative announced Monday.

China and Taiwan split through a civil war in 1949 and don't have any diplomatic relations. Beijing claims the democratically led island as a section of the communist mainland's territory and has warned it to attack.

The Trump administration has ramped up assistance for Taiwan through arms sales and visits by senior US officials, adding to stresses between Beijing and Washington, already raised by arguments over the South China Sea, Hong Kong, human rights, and trade.

 

The latest US arms agreement covers sensors, missiles and artillery, and further congressional notifications are expected for drones made by General Atomics and land-based Harpoon anti-ship missiles, made by Boeing, to work

The news appears after the Chinese military bragged about its combat abilities and directed live-fire drills in perceived warnings to Taiwan.

 

Beijing has used progressing pressure on democratically-ruled Taiwan to accept China's sovereignty, including by piloting fighter jets over the sensitive midline of the Taiwan Strait, which usually serves as an unofficial buffer.

 

A recent report implied that China had used its most advanced hypersonic missile to its southeast borders near Taiwan to 'prepare for a possible invasion' of the island - insists China's state media marked as 'merely speculation'.

 

China's state broadcaster also announced on Friday that Beijing's army had launched dozens of missiles

A group of child protection experts has urged the Dutch government to roll out compulsory contraception for women who are addicted to drugs or mentally ill to 'prevent child abuse'.

 

The Standing Committee for Compulsory Contraception has lodged the proposal with the Dutch House of Representatives which claims the measure would stop children being abused by mothers who are unable to cope with raising them.

 

The proposal, which could see 'hundreds' of women given a contraceptive implant or injection, would see child protection officials apply for a court order to curb a woman's ability to conceive for a given period of time.

 

The court order could be sought if the woman had a mental health condition, a diagnosed learning difficulty, a Hepatitis B or C infection, or if she had a history of child abuse, Dutch News reported.

 

Former juvenile judge Cees de Groot, who submitted the proposal, used an example of a prostitute with a diagnosed psychiatric illness whose clients paid more for a pregnant woman - leading to her wanting a child.

 

De Groot told AD.nl that 70 per cent of women considered vulnerable already co-operated with voluntary contraception, adding that it was the 30 per cent who didn't who were a cause for concern.

An X Factor star jailed for sexually exploiting several teenage boys has had his sentence slashed โ€“ shortening the time he will be closely monitored by authorities when he is freed.

 

Danny Tetley โ€“ caged in January for exploiting seven youngsters โ€“ used his star status on the show to target some of his victims.

 

His offending saw a judge brand him a โ€˜despicableโ€™ creature and led to him being given an extended sentence of 17 years โ€“ of which nine will be behind bars.

 

But MailOnline can reveal Tetley, 40, has won a bid to get his punishment cut, meaning he will be closely monitored on license for just five years when he leaves jail.

 

An appeal at the High Court presided over by Lady Justice Simler said the sentence was too long for the crimes.

 

Previously Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC had ruled at Bradford Crown Court he should be watched for eight years in public.

 

The news will sicken his victims, one of whom said they were unable to trust adults anymore and likened him to paedophile Jimmy Savile.

 

The Criminal Appeal Office confirmed to MailOnline: 'The full court allowed the appeal and the sentence is now an extended sentence of 14 years, comprising a custodial term of nine years and an extended period of license of five years.'

 

Extended periods of licenses are put in place by judges to 'protect the public from serious harm'.

 

Tetley had admitted seven charges of causing sexual exploitation of boys and two counts relating to the distribution of indecent images.

 

He had coerced them into sending sexual images and videos in exchange for money from October 2018 to August 2019.

 

The court had heard his celebrity status had โ€˜now gone, tarnished and destroyed', but the impact of his crimes on his victims had been 'most distressing'.

Mothers are having their newborn babies taken into care following virtual family court hearings from their hospital beds, a new report shows.

 

Around half of parents or relatives involved in remote hearings during the Covid-19 pandemic did not understand exactly what was happening in the proceedings, a study published today by the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory found.

 

Around 88 per cent said they had 'worries and concerns' about the way a case was dealt with, while the majority of professionals believed 'fairness and justice' was delivered on most occasions. The report, commissioned by the President of the Family Division of the High Court, Sir Andrew McFarlane, was undertaken as courts in England and Wales rapidly adapted to using telephone and video hearings following lockdown in March.

 

In the two-week period between March 23 and April 6, audio hearings across all courts and tribunals increased by over 500 per cent, and video hearings by 340 per cent.

 

The report said parents were often having to participate in life-changing hearings about their children by phone rather than video link, with many struggling to understand what was going on in the court.

 

It noted particular concern about hearings in which newborn babies were taken into care shortly after birth. In these cases, the mother would often join by phone from the hospital.

 

'There is nothing fair about a remote hearing which requires you to remove a newborn baby from its mother,' one judge said. 'Remote hearings do not enable you to show empathy.'

 

A barrister added: 'I was required to represent a mother who was in hospital having given birth where removal was sought. She had no support and she took part by phone.'

 

The study, for which 1,100 professionals and 132 family members were contacted, added 'mothers have frequently not been able to have any physical contact with their babies following their removal.'

 

One barrister said contact had 'generally been virtual' between a mother and child throughout the pandemic, which they dubbed 'inadequate.'

 

'The children are not able to develop or maintain a bond with their parent on a screen - particularly young babies and toddlers. It can be very confusing for the children,' the lawyer said.

 

Social workers also condemned a lack of contact as 'horrendous', describing how one baby removed at four months old had no contact with its mother for six months.

 

In another case, a barrister said: '[The] mother posed no risk to the child and the [local authority] was incredibly slow to even think about facilitating in-person contact, relying on the lack of resources.

 

'The judge was sympathetic to the lack of resources issue and told me that she could not make facilities available that simply weren't available.

 

'I accept that, but this child was under one year old and had not seen its mother for five months.'

30 Police Officers Injured By Anti-Police Rioters In Democrat-Controlled Philadelphia

 

Violent anti-police rioters attacked law enforcement officials in Philadelphia on Monday night, injuring 30 officers in response to police killing a man that approached them with a knife earlier in the day.

 

The rioters were โ€œthrowing rocks and bricks at policeโ€ while others were engaged in โ€œlooting or vandalizing businesses,โ€ NBC Philadelphia reported. โ€œAt least 30 police officers were hurt, police said. One was hospitalized, a 56-year-old sergeant who was struck by a pickup truck at 52nd and Walnut streets early Tuesday. Her leg was broken, among other injuries, police said.โ€

 

Journalist Andy Ngo, an expert in tracking far-left extremist groups, tweeted out a video from the violent riots, claiming that it was a Black Lives Matter riot.

 

โ€œAt the Philadelphia BLM riot, a cop got hit or run over by a speeding vehicle,โ€ Ngo wrote.

 

NBC Philadelphia reported yesterday afternoon on the incident that led to the riots. Police were called to neighborhood over reports of a man with a weapon. The man, 27-year-old Walter Wallace, was holding a knife when police arrived.

 

The report stated:

 

One video posted on Instagram shows Wallace walking toward the officers while a woman, who a witness identified as Wallaceโ€™s mother, tries to stop him. Two armed police officers back away from Wallace and tell him at least twice to โ€œput the knife downโ€ though itโ€™s unclear from the video whether or not Wallace is holding a knife.

 

As Wallace continues to approach the officers, the camera briefly points downward and the sounds of several gunshots are heard as the police open fire. The camera then rises again, showing Wallace motionless on the ground as his mother runs toward him, screaming hysterically.

 

Maurice Holloway, a witness, told NBC10 he helped officers place Wallace in the police car that rushed him to the hospital.

 

โ€œMy prayers are with the family and friends of Walter Wallace,โ€ Mayor Jim Kenney said in a statement. โ€œI have watched the video of this tragic incident and it presents difficult questions that must be answered. I spoke tonight with Mr. Wallaceโ€™s family, and will continue to reach out to hear their concerns first-hand, and to answer their questions to the extent that I am able. The Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Unit of PPD will conduct a full investigation. I look forward to a speedy and transparent resolution for the sake of Mr. Wallace, his family, the officers, and for Philadelphia.โ€

 

Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw added, โ€œI have directed the Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Unit to begin its investigation. I recognize that the video of the incident raises many questions. Residents have my assurance that those questions will be fully addressed by the investigation. While at the scene this evening, I heard and felt the anger of the community. Everyone involved will forever be impacted. I will be leaning on what the investigation gleans to answer the many unanswered questions that exist. I also plan to join the Mayor in meeting with members of the community and members of Mr. Wallaceโ€™s family to hear their concerns as soon as it can be scheduled.โ€

According to a report from Yahoo! Finance, Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, cautioned that early vaccines are simply aimed at preventing or reducing symptoms of coronavirus infection.

 

Fauci made the remarks during Monday's Yahoo! Finance's All Markets Summit.

 

"If the vaccine allows you to prevent initial infection, that would be great," he said in remarks. "[But] the primary endpoint [is] to prevent clinically recognizable disease."

 

At the time of this reporting, four biotechnology companies are nearing their end of clinical trials as they furiously work to develop a vaccine for COVID-19 โ€” AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer, which is partnered with BioNTech.

 

"The primary thing you want to do is that if people get infected, prevent them from getting sick, and if you prevent them from getting sick, you will ultimately prevent them from getting seriously ill," Fauci said. "If the vaccine also allows you to prevent initial infection, that would be great. [But] what I would settle for, and all of my colleagues would settle for, is the primary endpoint to prevent clinically recognizable disease."

Earlier this week, Fauci said that a COVID-19 vaccine may be ready as early as November, but will take months to roll out to the American public.

 

In remarks on BBC One's "The Andrew Marr Show," Fauci said, "I think we will know whether a vaccine is safe and effective by the end of November, the beginning of December."

 

"The question is, once you have a safe and effective vaccine, or more than one, how can you get it to the people who need it as soon as possible," he added.

 

He also explained that the country could begin to "approach some form of normality."

 

"I think when we get a vaccine, and we start getting people vaccinated, over a period of several months into 2021, we will begin to approach some form of normality, depending upon how many people, what proportion of the people, take the vaccine," Fauci added.

 

"That should be combined with some degree of public health measures," he continued. "I don't think that a vaccine alone right off will get us back to normality."

Nationwide, the number of new coronavirus cases confirmed on each Friday and Saturday exceeded 80,000 - breaking the July record of 75,723 cases in a day, according to tracking from Johns Hopkins University.

 

But Dr Fauci thinks the surges we are seeing now are not a yet a second wave, but a back-end result of the U.S.'s failure to ever drive daily infections down to a sufficiently low baseline to prevent resurgences.

 

'We started to see a peak that brought us up to around 70,000 per day,' in July, he said.

 

'Now as we're getting into the cold weather, we came back up again to the worst that we've ever had, which was over 80,000 per day.'
