Just make sure you do something every day with whatever language you choose. No matter how repetitive or silly it seems, just type it out and spend at least an hour going through the repetition or learning something new.

A lot of people try to rush the fundamentals but I really think 6 months should be spent just learning all the built-in functions for a language. Once you have those down for one language, then you can basically learn any library, like I said before, in a month or two.
