Niger Votes in Presidential Runoff to Usher in First Democratic TransitionNiger votes on Sunday in the second round of a presidential election that is expected to usher in the first democratic transition of power since the West African nation gained independence from France in 1960.

 

Ruling party candidate Mohamed Bazoum is seen by many as the favourite after leading in the first round on Dec. 27 with 39.3% of the vote. He is up against former President Mahamane Ousmane, who scored 17%.

 

Bazoum, a 61-year-old politician who had held several top positions in outgoing President Mahamadou Issoufou's governments including the foreign and interior ministries, is backed by the candidates who came third and fourth in the first round.

 

Bazoum has vowed to continue Issoufou's policies, making security a focal point as the country battles insurgencies, while introducing policies to revamp the economy.

 

Ousmane, 71, was Niger's first democratically elected president and was ousted in a 1996 military coup. He has been endorsed by around a dozen smaller parties and candidates of the first round. He has promised to bring change and tackle corruption.

 

The Sahel nation of around 24 million is one of the poorest in the world and struggles with recurring drought and destructive floods. The coronavirus pandemic has weighed on its economy, while weak prices for its main export, uranium, have hit revenues.

 

The International Monetary Fund expects Niger's economy to rebound to pre-pandemic levels, with growth of over 6% this year after dipping by 1.2% in 2020.

 

"Continuity is better," said Boukari Hassane, a 42 year-old civil servant who added that he would like Bazoum to complete development programmes started under Issoufou.

 

Niamey-based political analyst Elhadj Idi Abou said that the outcome of the vote was not decided and turnout was expected to be high given the nearly 70% turnout in the first round.

 

The choice was between continuity with Bazoum, or change with Ousmane, he added.

 

β€œ For me there is no favourite because this ballot is the most open and the outcome does not depend on alliances but on the citizens. Both candidates have the same chances," Abou said.

 

Niger is facing two of Africa's deadliest insurgencies - one near its western border with Mali and Burkina Faso, where militants linked to al Qaeda and Islamic State have carried out a series of attacks. An attack on two villages in early January near the border with Mali killed 100.

 

Along its southeastern border with Nigeria attacks by Boko Haram have killed hundreds and displaced thousands.

China’s Cyberwarfare Attack On 2020 US Election Tied To Mitch McConnell’s CCP-Connected Wife Elaine Chao

 

Elaine Chao, the Taiwanese-born wife of now-Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), failed to disclose during her federal confirmation process that she served on the board of directors of the Multa Communications Corporation, also known as Multacom. Multicom is a California company that entered into multiple joint ventures with Chinese state-owned telecom companies China Unicom and China Mobile Tietong.

 

Internet Protocol (IP) addresses owned by China Unicom and China Mobile Tietong, according to a forensic data analysis, were used to conduct a cyberwarfare attack on the 2020 U.S. election and to switch votes from President Trump to Joe Biden. This was an act of hybrid warfare via cyberwarfare against the United States.

 

These CCP-owned source IP addresses used to launch China’s cyberwarfare attack on the 2020 U.S. election belong to Multicom’s CCP joint venture partners China Unicom and China Mobile Tietong.

 

Chao Concealed Board Membership At Multicom, Internet Company In Joint Ventures With CCP Telecoms

 

Elaine Chao concealed her membership on Multicom’s board of directors from the United States government, including from the U.S. Congress and from U.S. intelligence agencies that conduct national security background investigations of presidential senior cabinet nominees. Upon Senate confirmation, these senior cabinet officials receive top secret security clearances to access classified secrets.

 

In spite of Chao’s decades of deeply troubling business, financial, political, and familial connections with Chinese Communist Party leaders and state-owned enterprises, including CCP telecom and internet companies, Chao’s husband Senator Mitch McConnell dismissed all claims brought forward by the Trump administration and his Republican Senate colleagues that dangerous foreign adversaries such as China hacked into the 2020 U.S. election as β€œconspiracy theories.”

 

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell now has more problems than just his blatant betrayal of President Trump and the American voter. His wife’s dubious relationship with the CCP casts a shadow over McConnell’s bona fides to govern anything in the United States of America, much less the Republican caucus of the U.S. Senate.

 

An August 9, 2020 Wall Street Journal report revealed that β€œNational security adviser Robert O’Brien said Sunday that Chinese hackers were targeting U.S. election infrastructure in the lead up to the Nov. 3 presidential election, making a new claim about the level of Beijing’s activity in the election.”

 

β€œMajority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called for senators to reject the effort to β€˜overturn’ the election during a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6,” the Washington Post reported.

 

β€œPresident Trump claims the election was stolen. The assertions vary from particular native allegations to constitutional arguments to sweeping conspiracy theories,” Senator McConnell contended during his rambling, confusing January 6th speech before fellow Senators. β€œBut my colleagues, nothing earlier than us proves illegality anyplace close to the large scale β€” the large scale β€” that may have tipped your complete election.”

 

McConnell’s own family has deep connections to the Chinese Communist Party and to CCP-owned telecom companies that, according to a forensic data analysis, own IP addresses from which a massive cyberwafare attack was launched from China targeting the 2020 U.S. election in order to flip votes from Donald Trump to Joe Biden.

Hundreds of independent schools left in dire financial straits by the coronavirus pandemic are being targeted by Chinese investors, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Experts anticipate a β€˜feeding frenzy’ as firms, including some run by high-ranking members of the ruling Chinese Communist party, seek to expand their influence over Britain’s education system. Seventeen schools are already owned by Chinese companies, but that number is set to rocket.

Amid rising concern about Beijing’s tentacles reaching into British classrooms, an investigation by this newspaper can reveal:

Nine of the 17 schools under Chinese control are owned by firms whose founders or bosses are among China’s most senior Communist Party members;

Princess Diana’s preparatory school is owned by a Chinese group that openly trades on her name;

Schools are using educational tools for teaching children a β€˜whitewashed’ view of China;

One firm admitted its acquisition of British schools is aimed at supporting China’s controversial Belt And Road strategy, which aims to expand Beijing’s global influence.

 

Many independent schools are facing a funding crisis because of the pandemic. Enrolments have plummeted and fees have been slashed because pupils are learning from home.

 

Boarding schools have reportedly seen fees fall by up to 35 per cent and day-pupil numbers by 20 per cent. They and other independent schools have been unable to take full advantage of the Government’s furlough or business loan schemes because they have to stay open to support the children of key workers or those studying online.

 

Last year, Chinese firms bought three schools, including Abbots Bromley School near Lichfield, Staffordshire, which had been forced to close its doors in 2019.

Here's an aspect of environmentalism the liberal cult masters would like us to forget: those living in the industrialized world have a much bigger carbon footprint (to use their propaganda slogan) than those living in the undeveloped world. Between the time our immigration laws were changed by traitors in 1965 and now, our population has increased by roughly 130 million; that's a huge increase. Most of that increase has been through immigration, much of it from the undeveloped world, because we had stabilized our population growth.

 

I think a substantial amount of this is from India and China too, which are major polluters, but much of it is from undeveloped countries like the ones south of our border, and Africa. So by bringing so many people from undeveloped countries into ours we have greatly increased the amount of pollution we produce. If our population had remained stable at around 200 million, we would be using way less electricity, water, gasoline, and so on.

 

So the liberal cult massively increases our population and in so doing increases our so-called carbon footprint, and then says that because our carbon footprint is so big we all have to become impoverished to supposedly protect Mother Earth. I am convinced that this is all part of a complex plan to impoverish America (and Europe etc. too) while expanding government power, all for the purpose of changing America from a free republic into a communist dictatorship.

 

A big part of this is what is called the Cloward Piven Plan, but that does not relate directly to this part of the betrayal so I won't go into detail about it.

 

It's my understanding that power plants in China and India, the world's most populous nations, don't have clean air systems; the ductwork goes right from the air heater (the last part of the power generation part) to the smokestack; this is where the clean air systems would go. If so-called environmentalists were not the communist-loving hypocrites they are, all of them would be boycotting everything made in India and China until they put clean air systems on their plants.

 

Think about that: they will boycott a guy who makes pillows because of his loyalty to America, but they will not even mention boycotting the world's biggest polluters.

 

Clean air and climate change and all that don't really have anything to do with any of this though. It's nothing but a big lie, used to impoverish us and turn government into our absolute master.

Considering that 1 Kilowatt hour (kWh) is equal to 0.001 megawatt hour (MWh), and, as an example, in illinois(not exactly a "cheap" state), we pay 7.99 cents per kWh for electric (which is .0799 dollars) that means that 1 MWh in illinois should cost me $79.90, because MATH.

 

The order says, SPECIFICALLY, "This incremental amount of restricted capacity would be offered at a price no lower than $1,500/MWh. Once ERCOT declares that such an EEA Level 2 or Level 3 event has ended, the unit is required to immediately return to operation within its permitted limits".

 

Does charging "no less" than $1500.00 per MWh compared to a $79.90 per MWh seem, somehow, "democratic" or otherwise, "supportive" of BLOWING PAST the environmental controls?

 

Continuing, SPECIFICALLY, the order states, "All entities must comply with environmental requirements to the maximum extent necessary to operate consistent with the emergency conditions. This Order does not provide relief from an entity’s obligations to purchase allowances for emissions that occur during the emergency condition or to use other geographic or temporal flexibilities available to generators."

 

Does this statement convey that BLOWING PAST environmental controls is fine? It won't cost the state or consumers any extra amount during this once in a century weather event?

NO… it says that David Huizenga, the Acting Secretary of Energy, the DOE (federal agency) and the EPA (federal agency) are bending Texas over and raping them… at no less than $1500 a MWh… and they are OBLIGATED to take it.
