Republicans demand Bezos hand over documents after alleging ‘discrimination’ against conservatives

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee have demanded that Amazon cough up files and communications related to its alleged “viewpoint discrimination” against the right-of-center, penning a formal request to CEO Jeff Bezos.

Sent by ranking Republicans on the judiciary panel’s antitrust subcommittee, Representatives Jim Jordan (Ohio) and Ken Buck (Colorado), the letter on Thursday night called on the e-retail giant to address lawmakers’ concerns about alleged censorship of conservative voices.

“Big Tech, including Amazon, is engaged in systematic viewpoint discrimination. In the unfortunate phenomenon of ‘cancel culture,’ Amazon plays a leading role in silencing and censoring the political speech of conservative Americans,” reads the letter, first obtained by Breitbart.

“In just the last several months, Amazon has enabled a pattern of curtailing, censoring and removing from its platforms content that espouses conservative viewpoints.”

The legislators pointed to several examples in which Amazon exerted “editorial control” over content that is “biased against conservatives,” giving the appearance of a “coordinated effort to cancel conservative speech” on its various platforms.

Among those cases were Amazon’s decision last June to bar advertising for a book by Wall Street Journal reporter Abigail Shrier, which warned that “transgender identification among teen girls has become a social contagion.” The lawmakers also cited a move earlier this year to cut conservative-friendly social media site Parler off Amazon’s cloud servers, as well as a documentary on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas that was inexplicably deleted off the site “without warning or notification to the film’s director.”

Jordan and Buck demanded that Amazon hand over “all documents and communications” related to the examples outlined in the letter, saying they expect the company to provide the material no later than the evening of March 25.

While both the Judiciary Committee chairman, Jerry Nadler (D-New York), as well as the antitrust subcommittee chair David Cicilline (D-Rhode Island), refused to sign the letter, they were nonetheless copied to the missive.

Republicans have repeatedly taken aim at Big Tech firms for purported censorship campaigns against the political right, a cause loudly championed by former President Donald Trump, who was himself targeted with bans and suspensions across several platforms in the wake of the January 6 riot at the Capitol. The GOP representatives behind Thursday’s letter also referred to Trump’s indefinite ban on Amazon-owned Twitch, tasking Amazon with providing material on that incident as well.

The Democrat-led House on Thursday passed a gun control bill to expand background checks with a vote of 227-203.

8 Republican lawmakers voted with the Democrats to pass the “Background Checks Act” that prohibits private firearms transfers without having a background check.

The law will make it harder for law-abiding Americans to purchase guns to protect themselves and their families.

Americans bought an estimated 21 million guns last year during the Democrat-led COVID lockdowns and Democrat-promoted Black Lives Matter riots.

These same Democrats blocked legislation that would require ICE to be contacted when illegal aliens applied to buy a gun.

This is an example of Democrat policy in a nutshell.

No Jail for ‘Monster’ Cop Found Guilty for His Role in Child Sex Ring Run by Fellow Officers

As TFTP has reported, since 2017, information over a years-long child abuse saga involving Louisville Metropolitan Police Department (LMPD) officers has slowly trickled out, leading to multiple officers being arrested and sentenced to prison. Hardly an isolated incident, in total, a series of seven lawsuits names more than eight current or former LMPD officers. One of those officers — who was subsequently arrested for child sex abuse — was officer Brad Schuhmann, 32.

Despite horrifying details coming out in the case against Schuhmann, he was granted a sweetheart plea deal in which he will avoid jail for sexually abusing a little girl in the department’s explorer program.

According to his indictment, Schuhmann willfully deprived the victim of liberty without due process of law, which includes the “right not to have her bodily integrity violated by a person acting under color of law.”

Nevertheless, Schuhmann was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Rebecca Jennings Grady on Wednesday to just six months of home confinement and two years of probation, the Courier Journal reported. He must also register as a sex offender.

The victim called Schuhmann a “monster” and a “predator” in an impact statement and said “this man robbed me of my goals.”

As the Courier Journal reports, identified only as “Jane Doe,” she said she has lived in shame since Schuhmann had sexual contact with her when she was a teenager in the now-defunct scouting program for youngsters interested in law enforcement.

Schuhmann did not deny the sexual abuse and instead admitted to having sexual contact with her at her home and other locations. He said he has since changed since that incident, which he called “the worst decision of my life.”

Schuhmann becomes the third cop in this child sex scandal to be convicted. It has taken years to make such a small headway as the department has been helping to cover it up.

As TFTP reported, inside information into the years-long child sex abuse saga was not at all easy to obtain and now we know why. The department hid 738,000 records documenting the sexual abuse of Explorer Scouts by officers — and then, according to records requested by the Courier Journal, lied to keep the files from the public.

If such evidence is not available, it must be expected that this will lead to a drop in platelet counts, appearance of D-dimers in the blood, and to myriad ischaemic lesions throughout the body including in the brain, spinal cord and heart. We request evidence that the potential danger of platelet activation that would also lead to disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) was excluded with all three vaccines prior to their approval for use in humans by the EMA.

The sweeping across the globe of SARS-CoV-2 created a pandemic of illness associated with many deaths. However, by the time of consideration for approval of the vaccines, the health systems of most countries were no longer under imminent threat of being overwhelmed because a growing proportion of the world had already been infected and the worst of the pandemic had already abated. Consequently, we demand conclusive evidence that an actual emergency existed at the time of the EMA granting Conditional Marketing Authorisation to the manufacturers of all three vaccines, to justify their approval for use in humans by the EMA, purportedly because of such an emergency.

Should all such evidence not be available, we demand that approval for use of the gene-based vaccines be withdrawn until all the above issues have been properly addressed by the exercise of due diligence by the EMA.

There are serious concerns, including but not confined to those outlined above, that the approval of the COVID-19 vaccines by the EMA was premature and reckless, and that the administration of the vaccines constituted and still does constitute “human experimentation”, which was and still is in violation of the Nuremberg Code.

10 House Republicans Declare Support for Amnesty, Visa Worker Bill

Ten GOP representatives joined the Democrat farmworker amnesty bill, even though the bill would push many of their own voters out of jobs and their own districts, critics assert.

Republican Washington state farmer Rep. Dan Newhouse leads the ten GOP cosponsors on H.R.1603.

They include Reps. Elisa Stefanik (NY), Mark Amodei (NV), Mario Diaz-Balart (FL), Doug LaMalfa (CA), Cathy McMorris Rogers (WA), Mike Simpson (ID), Fred Upton (MI), David Valadao (CA), and Jefferson Van Drew (NJ).

Additional legislators may be trying to dodge criticism from voters by hiding their support for H.R. 1603, titled “To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to provide for terms and conditions for nonimmigrant workers performing agricultural labor or services, and for other purposes.” The bill is expected to come to the floor for a vote next week.

“Congress should not debate nor vote on any further significant legislation while American citizens are cut off from their representatives and staffers by armed troops and a pandemic,” William Gheen, the founder of the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC grassroots group, stated in a press release.

“President Biden and lawmakers who promote or try to advance Amnesty legislation for illegals during this pandemic are causing a dangerous surge on our borders when we already have 17 million Americans out of work and illegals with COVID-19 being released by the Biden administration,” Gheen asserted.

The bill “will attract more illegal immigration into America while making future border or immigration law enforcement impossible by giving the Democratic Party millions of new voters to mobilize in exchange for government jobs, welfare, benefits, and incentives,” ALIPAC stated.

The H.R. 1603 legislation is a March 8 version of the H.R. 1537 amnesty bill, which was introduced on March 3 and had only one GOP supporter: Dan Newhouse.

The amnesty bill would devastate rural towns by giving employers an unlimited supply of cheap H-2A visa workers, Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA, said. She told Breitbart News:

Once you give them amnesty, the [current illegal] farmworkers are going to leave agriculture. So the growers are going to have to replace that labor force. If the borders are open, they’ll just do it with more illegals. But if they have to use E-Verify [to ensure legal hiring], they’ll hire H-2As and pay them less.

So all wages across the industry will go down, or at least be stagnant, and the farm communities will basically empty out more than what has already happened. Towns will dry up because local wages for Americans will decline — and the visa workers will send most of their wages back to their home countries.

It will basically be the exacerbation of the rural-to-urban population shift that we’ve already been seeing [nationwide]. Businesses in those [rural] communities will shut down because there won’t be enough consumers. It means that [private-sector] services will diminish because there won’t be enough consumers. Tax receipts will tank, which is why [government-provided] services will decline. Drug use will increase.

In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News, Rob Law, Center for Immigration Studies legislative and regulatory director and former policy chief of President Donald Trump’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency, said agriculture amnesty “is a special interest handout … it’s government-sanctioned serfdom.”

Former Delaware U.S. Senate candidate and America First GOP leader Lauren Witzke’s last post on Twitter included a disturbing quote from Vaid-Menon, who believes that underage girls are “kinky,” which Witzke called “demonic.”

Vaid-Menon apparently believes that fears about transgender “women,” which are just biological males in drag, going into girls’ bathrooms and sexually assaulting little girls are unfounded because those little girls want to be victimized.

“The narrative is that transgender people will come into bathrooms and abuse little girls,” Vaid-Menon says. “The supposed ‘purity’ of the victims has remained stagnant.”

“There are no princesses. Little girls are also kinky. Your kids aren’t as straight and narrow as you think they are.”

In other words, Vaid-Menon, a biological male pretending to be “female,” believes that underage girls are just as perverted as he is. None of them are the Disney princesses their parents dress them as, but are rather secret sexual deviants just waiting for the opportunity to encounter a mentally ill transgender.

After exposing this in a tweet, Witzke’s account was suspended. She received a message from Twitter explaining that her post, which only contained the word “demonic” along with the full quote from Vaid-Menon, violates Twitter’s “rules against hateful conduct.”

“You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease,” Twitter added.

The irony is that Vaid-Menon’s words promoting sexual violence against underage girls is completely permissible on Twitter, as are posts bashing white people, Donald Trump, conservatives, Christians and other unprotected people and groups.

“What we can assume out of this is that Twitter is enabling pedophilia, promoting pedophilia, but censors Biblical truth, so we can only assume Twitter is pro-pedophiles and their sympathizers,” Witzke told the independent media in a follow-up interview.

Twitter fully endorses “Minor Attracted Persons,” or MAPs, using its platform as well – MAPs being a euphemism for pedophiles.

If you are sick and perverted, in other words, then Twitter is for you. If you have moral values, on the other hand, then anything you say on Twitter will violate its terms of service, resulting in your eventual expulsion.

Democrats launch bid to try and OVERTURN Iowa Congressional race after Republican won by just six votes

The House Administration Committee will consider an appeal from Democrats to contest the results of the closest 2020 congressional race after Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks won by just six votes.

The Committee will consider the merits of an appeal from Democrat Rita Hart after she lost to Miller-Meeks by a less than 1% margin of more than 400,000 ballots cast in Iowa's Second Congressional District.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said during press conference on Thursday that 'of course' the review could overturn the results of the close election.

'Could you see a scenario? We don't do press conferences on 'can you see a scenario.' Of course! Of course!' Pelosi said, according to Fox Business.

'I respect the work of the committee. … We'll see where that takes us. There could be a scenario to that extent.'

Iowa state officials certified the results last year and Miller-Meeks was sworn in to Congress on January 3.

In December, Hart filed a Notice of Contest to petition the election results with Congress instead of an Iowa court and claimed that the results were certified in favor of Miller-Meeks after 22 'lawful ballots' were ignored in the count.

Hart's petition was filed under the Federal Contested Election Act which allows candidates to contest general elections by filing a motion with the House clerk.

'Of these wrongfully excluded 22 ballots, the evidence establishes that 18 were cast for Contestant, three were cast for Contestee Miller-Meeks and one did not record a vote for either candidate,' according to the petition.

'After the House has conducted its investigation and all lawful votes are accurately counted, Contestant Hart finally will be seated as the new U.S. Representative from the Second Congressional District.'

A Hart campaign spokesman said in a statement on Wednesday that the ballots 'still have not been counted due to a string of errors.'

Former Texas Border County HR Director Pleads Guilty to Bribery Scheme

A former Texas border county official pleaded guilty to collecting bribes in exchange for helping vendors secure contracts.

The development took place this week when 40-year-old Arnoldo Romeo Flores went before a U.S. judge and pleaded guilty to one of several bribery counts. Flores is allowed to remain on bond pending his sentencing hearing.

According to the U.S. Attorneys Office, Flores was the Cameron County Director for Human Resources between 2014-2015. He allegedly collected a series of bribes to help secure two contracts. Court documents filed in the case say the FBI had a cooperating source who helped negotiate the bribes where Flores would explain how to submit an ultimately successful proposal. Prosecutors say the alleged bribes ranged between $1,500 and $3,000.

Cameron County has a history of corruption.

In 2017, authorities arrested former Cameron County Judge Pete Sepulveda in connection with the alleged theft of public funds after ordering county workers to pave his driveway. Sepulveda served as an interim county judge from March 2015 to 2016.

Former Texas State District Judge Abel Limas received a 6-year prison sentence in 2013 for collecting bribes from attorneys for favorable rulings.

Former Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos received a 13-year prison sentence in 2014 for a racketeering scheme where he and several other attorneys worked on a pay-to-play scheme for favorable rulings.

Former Cameron County Sheriff Conrado Cantu spent more than 15 years in prison in connection because of Mexican cartel bribes. According to a local newspaper, other illegal ventures such as underground casinos also got favorable treatment in exchange for cash.
