in general, would recommend putting ANYTHING that anons might like to comment on in Globals as PROPOSALS or just TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION. Leave it there for a few days, and see what anons have to say.

Before two weeks ago, there were no discussions anywhere.
Discussions on this board are fine, but adding another discussion place and putting a notice on Globals allows anyone who check globals to participate, once anons realize that is how it works.

WHAT IS THE NEWS?
how broadly should that word be interpreted?
that is what the difs are mainly about
Used to be that what went into Globals was most a baker's decision, because BO just wasn't here than much
Globals were sometimes from BO but often contained info that bakers thought would be relevant to the entire board
But there were sometimes discussions with anons, depending on the info
Right now, everything is from BO because of board ownership change and new info coming thur board admin
in the future, there will not be a need for so many globals and they will come from more than one source
