Data from National Statistics in England Reveal Almost 530,000 Vaccinated Have Died Including Non-COVID Deaths Between January 2021 and March 2022

 

On May 16, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in England published its most recent data on deaths by vaccination status involving deaths with COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 deaths. These deaths occurred between January 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022 in England.

 

For this analysis, ONS defined death as either the COVID-19 virus identified (code U07.1) or the COVID-19 virus not identified (code U07.2) is mentioned on the death certificate.

 

“In contrast to the definition used in the weekly deaths released, deaths where the post-COVID condition, where the acute COVID had ended before the condition immediately causing death occurred is mentioned on the death certificate, and neither of the other two COVID-19 codes are mentioned are not included, as they are likely to be the result of an infection caught a long time previously, and therefore not linked to the vaccination status of the person at the date of death. Deaths involving multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19 where neither COVID-19, virus identified nor COVID-19, virus not identified are mentioned are also excluded,” NSO explained.

 

The vaccination status was categorized based on the following:

 

unvaccinated

vaccinated with first dose only, less than 21 days after first vaccination

vaccinated with first dose only, at least 21 days after first vaccination

vaccinated with first and second doses, less than 21 days after second vaccination

vaccinated with first and second doses, at least 21 days but less than 6 months after second vaccination

vaccinated with first and second doses, at least 6 months after second vaccination

vaccinated with first, second and third dose and/or booster, less than 21 days after third or booster vaccination

vaccinated with first, second and third dose and/or booster, at least 21 days after third or booster vaccination

 

NSO also included an “Ever vaccinated” category (totals of the vaccinated population), which includes anyone who has had at least 1 dose of the vaccine, regardless of further doses.

 

“Spring boosters are not distinguished in this analysis,” NSO stated.

 

Table 3 of the analysis: Whole period age-standardized mortality rates by vaccination status for all-cause deaths, deaths involving COVID-19 and deaths not involving COVID-19, per 100,000 person-years, England, deaths occurring between 1 January 2021 and 31 March 2022.

 

In this table, a total of 107,035 deaths were recorded by NSO comprising COVID-19, virus identified and COVID-19, virus not identified under the ‘unvaccinated’ group between January 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022 in England.

 

For the ‘vaccinated,’ a total of 463,837 deaths were recorded from ‘All causes of death.’

The Ark Two is the name given to North America's biggest underground nuclear bunk, located just outside the city of Toronto on Horning’s Mills.

The Ark Two, which has the distinction of being North America's largest private fallout shelter on record, is located on a site named Horning's Mills and was built by local couple Bruce and Jean Beach.

 

Though the Beaches chose school buses for a unique purpose, there is a reason why the vehicle has also been a popular choice for converted living spaces: they are spacious—and therefore easy to hollow out and redesign the space—structurally sound, and relatively inexpensive. Construction began almost forty years ago, in 1980. They have equipped the space to function as a working outpost after a catastrophic event: areas for daycare centers and doctors, plumbing facilities, kitchen, and even laundry facilities.

 

Over the years, undeterred by challenges from the courts and zoning inspectors making the case that the structure was erected without a permit and continues to operate in this manner, the couple has continued stockpiling supplies, guided by their own internal Atomic Doomsday clock. However, Mr. And Mrs. Beach, at ages 83 and 90, are also battling against their own biological clocks. One wonders what the fate of the complex will be in the next 5 to 10 years.

 

The complex is manned by a short list of trusted volunteers, which is a plus, however, aging equipment, as well as aging food supplies, have been a big concern over the years: “I don’t know how many tons of food we have had to throw out over the years,” Mr. Beach confesses.

 

We are all accustomed to hearing stories about unearthed treasures and underground cities dating back to ancient civilizations: the frantic rush of teams of archaeologists and anthropologists to the site to collect precious data and specimens, the media blitz that occurs shortly after to provide background about the civilization and fill in missing gaps, and finally the lingering question about which museum—in which country—the treasures will finally find a home. In this case, however, we have a kind of open, and living, time capsule: 3 Commodore 64 computer monitors (a computer which by most accounts would belong in a museum), for instance, are used as security monitors.

 

Whether or not the catastrophic disaster the couple is preparing for actually strikes in the future, this complex is a reflection of the ways in which some people view the impact of the digital age and its effect on our planet.

Everyone MAGA that sees the "Q believers" vs "Q Deniers" thing, I have a thought exercise. Let's say you get Christians and Secular Humanists in the same room to talk about the direction of the country. You agree on just about 100% of the items each group cares about, and then there's that very last question from the Christian crowd that goes "Will you please just join our belief system so we can be complete?"

 

Now I shouldn't need to tell you which group represents which group, which is where my seemingly unrelated thought directly ties into this rift, and the purpose (yes, purpose) behind it. Do you remember when the reporter finally asked PDJT about Q, and he gave the response "I really don't know anything about it… I hear they love our country… Is that supposed to be a bad thing?". Ironically, President Trump did the most honest thing he could've ever done in that exact moment in that exact way of responding to the question. He left it up to the listener/observer to decide for their own self, which is the biggest confirmation of acknowledgement; zooming right past the understanding of a huge number of Q followers and detractors alike.

 

This all goes much deeper into some pretty crazy ideas about how this is a reflection of humanity (think mirror; lol), but when you start looking at that the takeaway can be as unique as the perspective going into it, so that's up to you. I just wanted to say the more I think about the totality of all this, the more reverence for what they are pulling off I have. Pulling a diverse world of beliefs and viewpoints into and alliance for Truth, and making that central to the idea behind the whole movement was distilled fucking genius.

Embattled Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney is urging Democrats in her state to switch parties to support her August 16 primary reelection bid.

 

Cheney, who is polling far behind her Trump-endorsed primary challenger, sent out campaign mail last week to Wyoming voters with instructions on how to change their party affiliation to vote for her.

 

Her campaign website also now has a link to a form for changing parties.

 

According to The New York Times, Wyoming Democratic Party Chairman Joseph Barbuto was among those who received the instructions.

 

Barbuto also says his social media feeds have been flooded with Democrats posting about receiving the Cheney mailers.

 

"Even if every Democrat in the state switched over, I don't think it'd be enough to help her," he said about the strongly-Republican state, which has only one House member.

 

In November 2021, the Wyoming Republican Party voted in favor of no longer recognizing Cheney as a member of the GOP in its second formal rebuke for her criticism of Trump. Cheney also is the vice chairwoman of Democrat-led committee investigation the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

 

In February, Cheney said she was not planning on recruiting Democrats to switch parties ahead of the primary.

 

"That is not something that I have contemplated, that I have organized or that I will organize," she told The Times.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver a speech at the annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday. It will be his first major appearance before an international audience since Russia launched its military campaign in Ukraine in late February.

 

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Putin’s speech this year will be “extremely important.”

 

He added that the president will focus on the Russian economy, but also comment on global events.

 

Putin is expected to address the rise in energy prices and the looming global food crisis, among other matters.

 

The president will take part in a SPIEF plenary session, moderated by RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.

 

SPIEF is an annual gathering of business leaders, investors and politicians. The forum started on Wednesday and will run through June 18.

Confidence in U.S. Institutions Down; Average at New Low

Significant declines in confidence for 11 of 16 institutions tested

Average confidence across all institutions at new low of 27%

Public most confident in small business; least in Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. Americans are less confident in major U.S. institutions than they were a year ago, with significant declines for 11 of the 16 institutions tested and no improvements for any. The largest declines in confidence are 11 percentage points for the Supreme Court as reported in late June before the court issued controversial rulings on gun laws and abortion – and 15 points for the presidency, matching the 15-point drop in President Joe Biden's job approval rating since the last confidence survey in June 2021.

 

Gallup first measured confidence in institutions in 1973 and has done so annually since 1993. This year's survey was conducted June 1-20.

 

Confidence currently ranges from a high of 68% for small business to a low of 7% for Congress. The military is the only institution besides small business for which a majority of Americans express confidence (64%). Confidence in the police, at 45%, has fallen below the majority level for only the second time, with the other instance occurring in 2020 in the weeks after the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.

 

This year's poll marks new lows in confidence for all three branches of the federal government – the Supreme Court (25%), the presidency (23%) and Congress. Five other institutions are at their lowest points in at least three decades of measurement, including the church or organized religion (31%), newspapers (16%), the criminal justice system (14%), big business (14%) and the police.

 

Confidence in large technology companies is also at a low point (26%) but has only been measured the past three years.

 

Record-Low Confidence Across All Institutions

 

Gallup summarizes Americans' overall confidence in institutions by taking an average of the ratings of the 14 institutions it measures consistently each year – all but small business and large technology companies. This year's 27% average of U.S. adults expressing "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in those 14 institutions is three points below the prior low from 2014.

 

The confidence average is also down nine points from 2020, when Americans rallied around some of the institutions most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, expressing greater confidence in the medical system, public schools and organized religion.

 

Average confidence was at least 40% from 1979 to 1990 and from 1998 to 2004. Those latter years spanned the dot-com economic boom and the rally in support of government leaders after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

 

Since 2004, a number of factors have conspired to keep confidence down, including the Iraq War, the Great Recession and financial crisis, increasing partisan gridlock in Washington, a resurgence of populism, the COVID-19 pandemic, and inflation rates not seen for four decades.

 

All Party Groups Less Confident in Institutions

 

All partisan groups are generally less confident in the 16 U.S. institutions than they were a year ago, with average declines of four points among Republicans, five points among Democrats and six points among independents.

 

All three party groups are much less confident in the presidency than they were a year ago, showing declines of at least 10 points. Beyond that, the major changes among party groups tend to be isolated to one or two groups.

 

Democrats and independents show more than a double-digit loss of confidence in the Supreme Court, with no meaningful change among Republicans.

Republicans have lost more confidence in banks than the other party groups have. Republicans also show double-digit declines in confidence in the military and the police.

Independents are significantly less confident in organized religion than a year ago,while there has been a smaller drop among Republicans and no real change among Democrats.

THE COAGULATION OF BLOOD BY SNAKE VENOMS AND ITS PHYSIOLOGIC SIGNIFICANCE

Abstract

Nine of the 17 venoms here tested were found capable of coagulating citrated blood or plasma. As has been believed by most workers in the field, 7 of these 9 coagulant venoms convert fibrinogen to an insoluble modification resembling fibrin (Bothrops atrox, Bothrops jararaca, Bothrops nummifera, Crotalus adamanteus, Crotalus horridus, Crotalus terrificus basiliscus, Crotalus terrificus terrificus). The optimum pH for this coagulation was determined for 3 of these, and was found in each case to be approximately pH 6.5, the same as that for the action of thrombin on fibrinogen. Unlike thrombin, however, the fibrinogen-coagulating activity of the venoms was unaffected by the antithrombin elaborated in the course of anaphylactic shock. In addition to coagulating fibrinogen directly, 3 of these venoms (Bothrops atrox, Bothrops jararaca, and to a less extent, Crotalus terrificus basiliscus) acted on prothrombin to convert it to thrombin, without the necessary intervention of either calcium or platelets. Finally, 2 venoms (Notechis scutatus, and to a slight extent, a mixed Micrurus venom), which had no demonstrable effect on purified fibrinogen, nevertheless converted prothrombin to thrombin. Unlike the reaction between the venoms and fibrinogen, this activation of prothrombin has no definite pH optimum, but takes place over a wide zone (pH 5.6–8.3). In the case of Bothrops atrox, there was some indication that the initial velocity of the reaction increased with increasing alkalinity, but that the amount of thrombin ultimately formed decreased. Extraordinarily minute quantities of some of these venoms sufficed to produce a demonstrable activation of prothrombin. Thus, the fer de lance (Bothrops atrox) venom was active in a 1:25,000,000 dilution, and that of the Australian tiger snake (Notechis scutatus) was active in a 1:4,000,000 dilution. The thrombin formed was indistinguishable from that produced by the action of calcium + platelets on prothrombin. Like the latter type of thrombin, and unlike venoms which act directly on fibrinogen, thrombin formed from prothrombin by venom was inhibited by antithrombin. Every one of the 9 non-coagulant venoms in this series destroyed prothrombin; and 5 of these destroyed fibrinogen as well. As is discussed in the text, there is reason to believe that these several properties of the venoms (coagulation and destruction of fibrinogen; activation and destruction of prothrombin) depend on the proteolytic enzymes which they were found to contain. These observations lend further support to the thesis that, in the course of physiological coagulation, (a) calcium plus platelets (or tissue derivative) constitute an enzyme system which reacts with prothrombin to form thrombin, and which is thus analogous to trypsin and to several of the proteolytic venoms here discussed, and (b) the thrombin so formed is itself a proteolytic enzyme which, like papain and the majority of the coagulant and proteolytic snake venoms here studied, reacts with fibrinogen to form a fibrillar gel, fibrin.

In Joshua 9 we learned about the need to have the faith to ask God. Rather than making decisions based on what looks right, sounds right, and seems right, we need to ask God. Now Joshua 10 presses this point even further. We need to not only have the faith to ask God, but we need to have the faith to pray audacious prayers. We need to have the faith to be willing to pray for the things that we would consider impossible. We need to think about what this looked like. Joshua, standing before the armies of Israel, announces for the sun and the moon to stand still. Do you think people in the army thought that this was ridiculous or impossible? Who would ask God to stop the sun in the sky? Who would believe that God would stop the sun in its place? Maybe a people who had seen God make fortress walls fall down after walking around them! I try to think about what we might being doing when Joshua said this. We might argue the science with Joshua. Joshua, God can’t stop the sun because it will have all kinds of cosmic problems. If the earth slows its rotation or even stops is rotation it is going to mess everything up! In fact, this still happens today. People read this text and argue how this could not happen because of the science. We do this with God. We tell God what he cannot do. Worse, we do not pray as we can because we think there are things that are impossible with God.

 

Now we will never say that there are some things are impossible. We will say that God can do anything. But do we really believe it? Jesus said it was true. When Jesus is about to face the cross, Jesus went off by himself and prayed, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you” (Mark 14:35). Was Jesus right? Jesus also said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27). There is a moment when a men brought his son to Jesus who had an unclean spirit that caused him to have seizures, foam at the mount, throw him into the fire and the water, and try to destroy him. The father says to Jesus, “But if you can do anything, have compassion on him and help us” (Mark 9:22). Do you remember what Jesus said? “If you can! All things are possible for one who believes” (Mark 9:23). The hindrance was not with Jesus but with the father. What do we think that God cannot do? Moses did not think God could feed Israel meat in the wilderness. God made so much meat appear in the wilderness that was waist deep for miles. What is too great for God? Do we believe that nothing is too great for God?

 

If we believe that nothing is too great for God, then what are you not praying about? I believe that we do not pray because we do not believe that God will do something. We have problems in our lives that God will not do something about. We think our problems are too difficult for God. We think it is impossible for God to heal a disease or a sickness. We think it is impossible for our family member or friend to become a Christian. We think it is impossible for God to redeem and restore our marriage or family. We think it is impossible for reconciliation to occur between yourself and someone else. How many things are we going to tell God that he cannot do?

The UN, perhaps to be renamed ‘The Union of the Peoples’ or something similar, should be supported by the greatest nations from all Continents and Civilisations: China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia, Mexico, Japan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Egypt and Vietnam. Perhaps there would be other nations which have yet to be reformed from the relics of the present. For example, at the ultimate conclusion of this Special Operation, there is no reason why the USA or the EU should continue to exist. Once they have collapsed and been denazified and reformed, then a new nation or group from North America and Western Europe, for instance, a North American Confederation or a Gaullist-style Federation of the Sovereign Nations of Europe, could be allowed to join and take part in the new World Symphony of Nations. Its anthem could perhaps be taken appropriatey From the New World, the Ninth Symphony by Dvorak.

Vietnam's police have arrested the health minister and Hanoi mayor following accusations they were involved in a US$170 million coronavirus test-kit scandal, the public security ministry said Tuesday.

The Public Security Ministry issued an arrest warrant late Tuesday for health minister Ngoc Anh over accusations of "violating regulations on management and use of State assets, causing loss and waste" during his term as minister of science and technology, according to a statement on the public security ministry website.

 

A warrant has also been issued for Hanoi mayor Nguyen Thanh Long for "abusing positions and powers while performing official duties".

 

"After being approved by the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Ministry of Public Security has implemented the decisions and orders in accordance with law," the statement on the website added.

 

The pair were stripped of their Communist Party membership on Monday, with authorities removing both from their positions earlier today before arresting them.

 

Several other provincial Centres for Disease Control (CDC) officials have been arrested in recent months over their involvement and approval of making, producing and using Viet A's coronavirus test-kits.

 

Viet A's director-general, Phan Quoc Viet, faces charges of bribing health officials to sell the company's kits to hospitals and provincial CDCs at prices significantly higher than the production cost, netting $172 million – $34 million of which was ploughed back into bribery.

Overdoses Up 700% After Oregon Decriminalizes Hard Street Drugs. Officials Mystified.

 

In November 2020, Oregon voters approved ballot measure 110, making Oregon the first state in the nation to decriminalize the possession of hard drugs. M110 made the possession of personal use amounts of hard street drugs like heroin or meth punishable by a citation of up to $100, and directed funding to drug treatment programs. The voters bought the argument that the state could better disburse resources to treatment rather than prosecuting offenders criminally. In addition, the citation and fine could be waived if the offender called a hotline that would offer a “health assessment.”

 

Guess what happened next?

 

Officials at the Oregon Health Authority testified to legislative committees this week about the results of the program. It isn’t good. According to the Daily Mail:

 

Oregon’s first-in-the-nation scheme to decriminalize drugs and encourage those caught possessing them to seek medical help has been blighted with problems, officials admitted on Thursday – as one Republican politician said there had been a 700 percent in overdoses in her district in the last year.

 

Of the 1,885 people who got tickets in the first year of the program, only 91 called the hotline. Of those who called, only a handful had any interest in getting treatment.

 

According to an earlier report in January by Oregon Catalyst, of the 68 people who had called the hotline by that point, 49 expressed zero interest in getting help, and only 11 got connected to treatment services.

A report by OPB notes that the program comes with some hefty strings, with rural areas struggling to provide sufficient resources:

 

Under the measure, providers applying for funds in different regions of the state, in many cases by county, must jointly form “Behavioral Health Resource Networks.” Each network must provide a range of services that includes needs screening, intervention planning, low-barrier substance use treatment, peer support, housing services, harm reduction and supported employment.

 

And, providers must provide services in a way that aligns with the spirit of Measure 110. For example, services must be culturally competent, inclusive and low barrier. This means that programs can’t eject a patient for a single relapse, and that harm reduction services — such as overdose reversing drugs, fentanyl testing strips and clean syringes — should be available for people who are not ready to abstain from substance use. In some regions, a single provider serves as the entire network.

Mexico arrests alleged leader of international child sex ring

 

Mexican police have arrested aDutch citizen accused of being the leader of an international pedophile ring, Mexico City's attorney general said on Monday.

 

The man, identified only as Nelson 'N', was caught "in flagrante delicto," said Attorney General Ernestina Godoy, adding that he is the "possible leader of an international association of pedophiles created in 1982."

 

The arrest was the result of a "broad investigation" by prosecutors in collaboration with the NGO Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), Godoy said in a video posted on social media.

 

The NGO, dedicated to combating the sexual exploitation of children, reported the Dutchman's presence in Mexico to the authorities.

 

The group "had information that Nelson 'N' was in our country, possibly in order to expand his human trafficking and child pornography network," Godoy said.

 

The investigation observed his "modus operandi and location" and made it possible to determine his routines, aimed at getting in touch with other possible pedophiles, the authorities said.

 

"A covert operation was carried out that allowed him to be detained in flagrante delicto" at a public transportation station near the central Bosque de Chapultepec park, Godoy added.

 

The prosecutor's office is working on the investigation, which will be presented before a judge, and it has also requested consular assistance to "safeguard his rights as a foreigner," Godoy said.

 

After arresting the suspect, authorities searched the place where he was believed to be staying in the north of the city and said they found photographs featuring child pornography, as well as computers, hard drives, memory cards and two Dutch passports.

 

According to the investigation, the subject had, between 2014 and 2021, promoted various publications on social media that advocated the legalization of sex with children.

 

Nelson "N" had been arrested several times in the Netherlands, the prosecutor said, but had been on the run since at least February of this year.

Whatever tendencies we might have to think that “gender studies” is a concept new to the world after feminism, the rabbis of the Talmud have been deeply fascinated by the exceptions and margins of gender for well over 1500 years.

The rabbis who created Jewish law lived in a male dominated society, so it is unsurprising that rabbinic law treats the male as the norm and the female, by definition, as an anomaly—a deviation from the norm. Still, the sages do perceive women as human beings, creatures similar to men in important ways. Women are both ‘like’ and ‘not like’ men.

This leaves the rabbis in a quandary when they stumble across individuals whose gender categories are even more unclear than those of women. Women, at least, have a role that is obvious to the sages—they are exempt from certain commandments, while Jewish men are obligated to all commandments under most circumstances. So, what is to be done with those who do not fit neatly into one of these categories?

It is not perfectly clear how many genders the rabbis recognized: perhaps as few as two (male, not-male), or perhaps as many as seven. In Tractate Yevamot (Yevamot 79b) the Babylonian Talmud discusses the following gender categories;

• Androgynos: a person who has aspects of both male and female genitalia

• Tumtum: a person whose genitals are obscured, making their gender uncertain

• Aylonit: a female who fails to produce signs of female maturity by the age of twenty.

• Saris: the general term for a male who does not produce signs of maturity by the age of twenty (there is some debate about whether he needs to fail to produce all signs, or only some of them to be considered a saris). The category of saris can be further broken down into two: a saris khama is a male who is sterile because he was born that way, and a saris adam is a male who is sterile because he was castrated.

Note that the rabbis define a person’s gender strictly according to external physical attributes, not behavior; that is, they do not have the modern notion that a person might have male genitalia and still identify as a woman.

The discussion in Tractate Yevamot is typical of the talmudic process, attempting to clarify which people must observe which aspects of Jewish law. Generally, tumtumim are treated like women (exempt from many commandments), and androgynoi are somewhat in between the legal categories of men and women. For example, tumtumim and women cannot fulfill the obligation to blow the shofar for themselves or for others; androgynoi can fulfill their obligation for themselves, but not for others. A man, however, can blow the shofar for himself and for others. In this way, the Rabbis of the Talmud managed to include inter sex Jews into their system of Jewish law and ritual participation.

Unable to escape terror

Her children had waited three years to visit and take part in the American Independence Day parade. Instead of enjoying the carnival, they were hiding from gunfire.

At least two of the dead were reported to be Jewish, and ZAKA reported that some of the injured were Jewish as well. Among the dead was an elderly Jewish man, the emergency rescue organization said. The Israeli Midwest Consulate was reportedly in touch with the community and authorities.

The shooting happened four blocks away from a Chabad center, Chabad news reported on Monday night. In a video of the incident, it appears that a klezmer band was playing when the shooter attacked. According to Chabad, the Jewish community is often quite involved with the parade, usually having a menorah float.

The shooter was arrested later that evening — To her shock, the son of a man that Deborah had known her whole life.

Feeling "safer on the Gaza border"

"Devastated to hear the news from Highland Park, where a day of celebration became a day of tragedy," said Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid late Monday night. "My thoughts are with the families of the victims and all the American people. Today as always, Israel stands with our American friends."

The Air Force and Army have disciplined 17 senior officers, including the three-star general in charge of logistics, for poor oversight in connection with the mistaken shipment of fuses for nuclear warheads to Taiwan.

 

Saying he could not ignore the "breaches of trust that occurred on their watch," Acting Air Force Secretary Michael Donley laid out what in some cases were career-ending punishments Thursday for six Air Force generals, ranging in rank from one to three stars, and nine colonels. Two Army two-star generals have also been disciplined.

 

Speaking to reporters during a Pentagon press briefing, Donley said that, in taking into consideration the future needs of the Air Force, two major generals in the group have been asked to stay on in their jobs.

 

The Air Force chief of staff, Gen. Norton Schwartz, who also was at the briefing, said those two officers have unique skills and knowledge critical for the nuclear mission.

 

But, Schwartz added, "they certainly are on notice that there is no room for error here and that, should they abuse this trust, it won't take but about a millisecond to react."

 

Generals disciplined

The Army, meanwhile, said it disciplined two brigadier generals who worked at the Defense Logistics Agency and were in charge of the military's 26 shipping centers.

 

Army spokesman Paul Boyce said that while neither officer was directly responsible for the shipping error, they had not fully corrected problems in the supply system that had been identified in earlier audits.

 

All 17 officers received disciplinary letters, but they varied in seriousness from reprimands, which are the most severe, to letters of admonishment, memorandums of concern and letters of counsel, which are less serious.

Western attempts to isolate and punish Russia have backfired on their creators, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday. Speaking to a group of young entrepreneurs in Moscow, he pointed out the economic consequences of anti-Russian sanctions on the countries that imposed them.

 

“If someone tries to contain us in some regard, they ultimately contain themselves,” Putin told a group of young entrepreneurs, engineers and scientists in Moscow, ahead of the upcoming session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

 

“For example, they limit the exportation of our fertilizers – and their prices go up, far more than here. They try to limit our energy exports, and their prices go sky-high. They even try using my name to label their inflation, but the reality is we have absolutely nothing to do with it!” he said, to laughter from the audience.

 

The latter appeared to be a reference to US President Joe Biden’s insistence that the record price of gas at American pumps was a “Putin price hike,” though polls show most Americans are not convinced.

 

“This is solely the result of the huge mistakes they themselves made,” the Russian leader added. “And now they’re trying to, forgive me ladies, cover up a certain spot by blaming everything on Russia.”

 

Putin has repeatedly pointed out that, insofar as Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine has anything to do with Western economic woes, it’s because embargoes against Russia imposed by the US and its allies have disrupted the supply of oil and gas, fertilizer and even grain to the West.

 

Record inflation in the US and EU, however, was due to their own policies – specifically the runaway money-printing in Washington – and “nothing at all” with the conflict in Ukraine, the Russian leader said in an interview last week.

 

In Thursday’s Q&A session, Putin shrugged off the departure of many Western companies from Russia, saying the choice to miss out on the country’s great potential was their loss. He attributed the exodus to “the internal state of these countries, which cannot make sovereign decisions.”

The FBI has opened a widening investigation into sex abuse in the Roman Catholic Church in New Orleans going back decades, a rare federal foray into such cases looking specifically at whether priests took children across state lines to molest them, officials and others familiar with the inquiry told The Associated Press.

“It’s been a long road and just the fact that someone this high up believes us means the world to us,” said a former altar boy who alleged his assailant took him on trips to Colorado and Florida and abused him beginning in the 1970s when he was in the fifth grade. The AP generally does not identify people who say they have been sexually assaulted.

 

The FBI declined to comment, as did the Louisiana State Police, which is assisting in the inquiry. The Archdiocese of New Orleans declined to discuss the federal investigation.

A “record number” of LGBTQ candidates are running for Congress, “motivated in part” by laws in GOP states shoring up parental rights and protecting women and girls’ sports, Axios Congressional reporter Sophia Cai reported Tuesday.

 

Approximately 104 LGBTQ candidates are running for House or Senate seats in the 2022 midterm elections — a nearly 20 percent increase compared to 2020, when 87 LGBTQ candidates campaigned, Cai wrote.

 

“Some of those campaigns have already ended, but as of last week, 57 candidates are still actively running, according to data,” the report reads.

 

Cai wrote that candidates at the state level “say discriminatory laws have motivated them to seek a seat in their legislatures.” These supposed “discriminatory laws,” however, are put forth by Republicans to keep radical gender ideology from infiltrating schools and creating a divide between parents and their children.

 

A prime example is Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act, which expands parents’ oversight of their children’s education and prohibits the teaching of gender identity and sexual orientation from kindergarten through third grade. Democrats and corporate media allies quickly dubbed it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and claim it targets vulnerable gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and intersex children. In reality, the legislation does not mention any particular sexuality.

 

The Biden administration, Democrats, and pro-transgender clinical organizations have also been pushing sex change surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones — labeled “gender-affirming care” — for minors who believe they are a different sex. Additionally, Democrats have pushed to allow males identifying as females to play women and girls’ sports and share female spaces, despite well-documented biological advantages and overall safety concerns.

 

Democrats have gone so far as to promote letting children attend drag shows ( see here, here, here, here, and here). In response, Republicans in several states have already begun crafting laws to criminalize exposing children to drag shows. GOP lawmakers have also created and passed laws in many states criminalizing “gender- affirming care” for minors and banning males from female sports.
