Mike Tyson Podcast With Alex Jones Censored After Pressure From Big Tech

 

A much hyped interview that was set to be broadcast on boxing legend Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast with Alex Jones was censored after Tyson’s production company reportedly came under pressure from Big Tech and other outside groups.

 

Tyson reached out to Jones in early April, telling him that he was a listener and a fan before inviting him to appear on his iconic podcast.

 

Jones and his team then flew out to meet Tyson and his production team before filming what was set to be a groundbreaking interview.

 

During the conversation, Jones and Tyson covered a multitude of deep and thought provoking issues, no doubt helped by mushrooms and pot consumed during the podcast.

 

Although Jones and Tyson immediately hit it off and the podcast went well, during the interview, Tyson pointed at two or three people in his production crew who he said had warned him that Jones was a “villain” and not to give him a platform.

 

While the people in Tyson’s production crew who Jones personally dealt with were pleasant and enthusiastic, it appears as though others were more nervous about the podcast.

 

Over a month went by without the podcast airing, during which time Tyson facetimed Jones and assured him that the episode would be uploaded soon.

 

However, the very next day one of Tyson’s assistants called to reveal that although the production crew were fighting to have it released, the production company itself had caved and decided to censor the interview.

 

It was also revealed that the reason for doing so was that the production company had come under pressure from YouTube and other outside interest groups that demanded the podcast never see the light of day.

nwo dialectic code would be difficult to detect in the minds of 'assimilated' anons, because the implementations, the instantiations of the resulting objects, are presented as 'honest and trusted'.

 

Yet they self-referentially point back on their own objects as 'proof' of their narrative, intentionally creating inconsistent set of information objects (gun control good, 2nd amendment bad, as well as PERFORMATIVELY in the other minds of the same system, the logic is implement more mass shootings as good ways to prove gun control is needed.

It’s kind of like rewriting the whistleblower policy was supposed to work for the first Trump-Ukraine whistleblower, but with better results.

 

The Atlantic Council worked on this. Dimitry Alperovitch from Crowdstrike is their resident expert. As far as attribution, as long as there was a Russian in the room with former FSB or GRU ties, it could loosely be attributed to the Russian government according to Rule 17, article 8 Tallinn Manual on cyberwar.

 

The FBI, the DNC, and Team Clinton knew Shaltay Boltay did the Yahoo hack in 2013 that stole Huma Abedin’s State Dept passwords. Being pro-choice means a lot of things: Above all else, it means supporting a woman’s right to choose what happens to her body during pregnancy, abortion included. But because the stigma surrounding abortion is still so, well, stigmatized, “being pro-choice” is often just an amorphous concept (albeit a powerful one) without real faces or stories behind the crusade to ensure women’s rights.

 

That’s why it’s so very important – and, unfortunately, all too surprising – when women like Rep. Jackie Speier take to the public sphere to tell their own abortion stories. Last Thursday, Rep. Speier (D-CA) took to the floor of the House of Representatives to state her vehement opposition to proposed cuts to Title X funding, which would mean defunding family planning service providers such as Planned Parenthood. Following a floor speech from Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) that graphically detailed abortion procedures, Rep Speier discarded her notes and spoke from the heart to tell her colleagues about her own abortion:

 

“I'm one of those women he spoke about just now. I had a procedure at 17 weeks pregnant with a child who moved from the vagina into the cervix. And that procedure that you just described is a procedure that I endured. I lost the baby. And for you to stand on this floor and suggest that somehow this is a procedure that is either welcomed or done cavalierly or done without any thought, is preposterous."

 

It should be noted that though the government currently provides about $317 million dollars to family planning service providers, including Planned Parenthood, these service providers are prohibited from using federal funds to perform abortions. Rather, the money funds increased access to family planning services such as contraceptive services and health screenings. Of course, these service providers disproportionately fund low-income families and minorities – which means defunding them would put low-income families and minorities at a disproportionate disadvantage when it comes not just to terminating unwanted pregnancies but to preventing them in the first place.

 

Despite Rep. Speier’s moving floor speech, the House of Representatives voted 240-185 in favor of the proposed Title X cuts, sending the bill on to the Senate for a vote. Although the Senate is not expected to pass this dangerous and demeaning a attack on women’s health, it’s important that those of us who support a woman’s right to choose make our voices heard at this critical legislative juncture. Planned Parenthood is collecting signatures for a petition to the Senate, and NARAL Pro-Choice America offers easy, one-click advocacy that allows you to send a pre-written letter of opposition to your Senators with just a few clicks of the mouse.

 

Rep. Speier’s courageous decision to tell her abortion story to her fellow Members of Congress – and, by extension, to the country – will surely not change the minds of those who view abortion as murder. But it’s this sort of personalizing of the issue that allows us to see the truth of abortion, including the pain, indecision and heavy sense of loss that often accompany it. Behind every political issue is a personal story, and last week, Rep. Speier reminded us of that.

An anti-abortion law Vice President Mike Pence signed as governor of Indiana could become the case that lets the Supreme Court reshape abortion rights as soon as next year.

Pence could then take double credit for the anti-abortion movement’s ascendancy: The politician whose evangelical credentials helped carry conservative religious voters to President Donald Trump also helped deliver the high court case that could scale back access to abortion 45 years after Roe.

 

Throwing Roe into the “ash heap of history,” as Pence put it, has been his defining mission, the core of a political career that took him from Congress to the governor’s mansion to the vice presidency.

 

The Indiana legislation “is a testament to Vice President Pence’s long pro-life legacy,” said Clarke Forsythe, senior counsel at Americans United for Life, which advocates against abortion. “He was a leader in Congress on defunding Planned Parenthood going back to 2005, 2006. He raised the profile of the issue.”

 

Three months before Trump selected the then-governor as his running mate in 2016, Pence signed the bill, which pushes new legal issues to the forefront. Many of the prior court and political fights had centered on matters such as mandating waiting periods before an abortion, or instituting building codes so stringent that many abortion clinics would have to shut down.

 

Proponents of the ban say a fetus should not be aborted because of a disability or fetal abnormality. But the Indiana law, and a subsequent one passed in Ohio, have sparked a fierce and emotional debate about whether a woman should be forced to carry or deliver a child with a severe or life-threatening disability or condition.

In the course of a few weeks in June, the Supreme Court has restored democracy, expanded gun rights and expanded religious liberty in ways few thought possible.

To this day, we remember Pyrrhus’s defeat through victory as a pyrrhic victory.

 

The Supreme Court, on the last day of Pride Month, gave President Joe Biden just such a victory. In Biden v. Texas, the President went all the way to the Supreme Court seeking the power to end the “Return to Mexico” policy of the Trump administration. That policy required all migrants seeking to cross into the United States to return to Mexico to await processing.

 

Even after the Supreme Court ended Roe v. Wade a week ago, immigration remains a more important issue to voters. The court handed Biden his pyrrhic victory. Biden can end Trump’s policy and allow these migrants to stay in the United States. The victory comes as a huge summer wave of migrants is headed north to our southern border. Now Biden has an immigration crisis on his hands, and Republicans can legitimately say the president fought all the way to the Supreme Court to make the crisis happen and have taxpayers pay for it.

 

The 2021-2022 term of the Supreme Court really made this the best Pride Month ever. In the course of a few weeks in June, the Supreme Court has restored democracy, expanded gun rights and expanded religious liberty in ways few thought possible.

 

For democracy, the court returned the abortion fight to the states. It never should have been in the Supreme Court.Unlike gun rights, which can be found in the Constitution, the document is silent on abortion. That means it should have been a state issue. But in 1973, seven life-tenured justices chose to preempt democratic conversations and debate and read abortion into the Constitution. Over 49 years, the pro-life movement, playing by the rules of American politics, worked within democratic institutions to reshape the Supreme Court and ultimately won. Though the press will never credit it as such, the American pro-life movement is one of the greatest demonstrations of democracy in history.

 

Additionally, for democracy, the Supreme Court ruled the Environmental Protection Agency cannot make regulations on climate change without Congress giving it that power. For the past hundred years, Congress has passed the buck to federal agencies to legislate so Congress could avoid having to make difficult decisions. The Supreme Court ruled Congress cannot pass the buck to unelected bureaucrats without passing clear laws. Progressives hate the ruling, but it will force Congress to actually legislate instead of abdicate responsibility.

 

On guns, the court reaffirmed the second amendment right to keep and bear arms and denied states the subjective power to deny concealed carry permits. Only six states were affected. Those states allowed judges or others to subjectively decide if someone could get a carry permit. California’s law, for example, allows stated political beliefs to be taken into account. All the other states have objective requirements to get a carry permit, some including gun safety classes. That will now be the law in all 50 states.

 

Lastly, the court finally got rid of Lemon v. Kurtzman and the so-called Lemon Test, which essentially required government to default into forced secularism. The court ruled that if states cover the costs of private education, the state cannot discriminate against religious schools. The court also ruled public employees can express their religion publicly. Both protect religious liberty.

 

This was a major year for the Supreme Court and its decisions these last few weeks have made this the best Pride Month ever.

The Biden administration's controversial new mandate tying school lunch funds to the implementation of its transgender policies will primarily hurt low-income and minority students, according to experts and community activists.

 

"Holding the lunch money of low-income and underprivileged kids hostage in order to advance a woke gender orthodoxy shows precisely the lengths to which the president will go to ensure his pet policies on 'gender identity' are rammed through American lunchrooms, classrooms, bathrooms, dorm rooms, and sports teams," said Sarah Parshall Perry, senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation.

 

Perry was referring to the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), an agency within the Department of Agriculture (USDA), announcing last month that it will extend its interpretation of prohibitions on sex-based discrimination contained in Title IX to include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

 

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 forbids sex-based discrimination in any educational institution that receives federal money.

 

Because the USDA provides federally subsidized school lunches nationwide, schools will now need to comply with the administration's LGBTQ policies in order to maintain the federal funding.

 

Schools that receive funds from FNS must also "investigate allegations of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation," the agency said in its announcement. "Those organizations must also update their non-discrimination policies and signage to include prohibitions against discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation."

 

The USDA manages the National School Lunch Program, which fed about 30 million students a day before the COVID-19 pandemic upended school schedules. Under the program, low-income children are eligible to receive reduced-price or free meals at school.

 

The new interpretation of Title IX will mean that schools can lose funding for such programs if they don't implement transgender-inclusive policies, which often include rules allowing transgender students to use the bathroom and locker room of their preferred gender.

 

"This is child abuse and social engineering that school districts and parents have to stand up to," said Marc Little, a California-based lawyer and pastor who started a charter school in Los Angeles comprised of mainly black and Hispanic students. "The harm will beset children of color in particular."

 

While researchers and federal auditors have long documented the waste and inefficiencies in federal meal programs, studies also show they can improve the health and classroom performance of students.

 

But according to some experts, the administration's new mandate prioritizes ideology and politics over trying to improve school meal programs for those in need.

Russia's nuclear forces have launched fresh drills northeast of Moscow, in the Ivanovo province, according to new Russian defense ministry statements Wednesday.

 

Reuters cited Interfax news agency to report that "Some 1,000 servicemen are exercising in intense maneuvers using over 100 vehicles including Yars intercontinental ballistic missile launchers," based on the Russian MoD statement.

 

Some Western media reports are seeing the drill as a response and warning to Washington over the White House approving yet more military aid and weapons to Ukraine, particularly longer range rockets.

 

Newsweek, for example, writes that "The report follows the announcement that the U.S. has approved a $700m package of security assistance to be sent to Kyiv, which will include helicopters, anti-tank weapon systems and medium-range high mobility artillery rocket systems."

His words come on the heels of Biden on Tuesday night announcing longer range missile systems for Ukraine, which however likely can't reach Russian territory, given they are short to "medium range" systems. Moscow previously called the White House's expressed desire to avoid direct confrontation with Russia a "rational" policy.

 

The blistering attack also seemed aimed a Germany, which just announced new anti-air radar and defense systems for Ukraine:

 

Germany will supply Ukraine with the IRIS-T modern air defence and radar systems, Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said, stepping up arms deliveries amid criticism that Berlin is not doing enough to help Kyiv in its fight against Russia.

 

“The government has decided that we will send the IRIS-T system – the most modern system that Germany currently possesses,” the German chancellor told parliament.

 

In separate statements on the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia "does not believe Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s claims that Kiev will not attack Russian territory, should it obtain US-made long-range multiple launch rocket systems."

 

Already there have been multiple cross-border incidents in which Russian towns or villages were shelled. According to TASS, Peskov said:

 

"No," the spokesman said, answering a question whether the Kremlin trusts Zelensky’s words. "In order to trust, there must be previous experience when such promises were fulfilled. Unfortunately, such experience is completely nonexistent," Peskov explained.

 

"On the contrary, the entire history of events proves that, starting with Zelensky’s main campaign promise to end the war in Ukraine’s southeast once and for all, [the promise] was not fulfilled, and the Minsk Agreements were not implemented, they sunk into oblivion, and by Ukraine’s fault at that," the spokesman pointed out.

 

"So we don’t really have any trust credit for the Ukrainian side," he emphasized in follow-up.

The Russia Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev stated that the Russian authorities have succeeded to halt the activities of non-profit organizations in the country's northwest that received Western money, including plans to establish so-called "German autonomy" in the Kaliningrad region.

Why does this matter? Because today we learn the whole "Russia Hack / Crowdstrike " story was a red herring. The FBI didn't investigate it properly. They just took Crowdstrike's word that it was an internet hack exfiltration.

 

Several Intel community members including Bill Binney, however, long maintained that the only way to get the files out of the server with the timestamps that they had was if files were copied onto a thumbdrive at high speed, not exfiltrated over a slower Internet connection (to anywhere, much less Russia.)

 

The DNC files were most likely copied onto a thumb drive.

Roger Stone was telling Congressional investigators of the HSPCI back in 2017 that a British agent played a role in the transfer of the DNC emails via thumb drive to Wikileaks.

 

And that forensic evidence indicated the data wasn't hacked off the DNC server via the internet, but that the timestamps proved it was taken much faster, which meant it was a portable storage device such as a thumb drive.

Taiwan outlines consequences of potential Chinese attack

 

Global trade would be hit more than it has been by the Ukraine conflict, Taipei says

 

A Chinese military assault on Taiwan would have a much greater impact on global trade than the ongoing fighting in Ukraine, Taipei’s top trade negotiator warned on Tuesday, insisting it would lead to a global shortage of semiconductor chips.

 

Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of a major World Trade Organization meeting in Geneva, John Deng noted that the disruptions to international supply chains and the commodity price hikes caused by Russia’s ongoing military campaign in Ukraine could potentially pale in comparison to the consequences of a Chinese attack on Taiwan.

 

The trade negotiator underscored the world’s reliance on Taiwan for high-tech chips used in the production of technologies such as electric vehicles, mobile phones and more.

 

“The disruption to international supply chains; disruption on the international economic order; and the chance to grow would be much, much [more] significant than this one. There would be a worldwide shortage of supply,” he said.

 

Taiwan currently exports most of the world’s advanced semiconductors, making over $118 billion in exports just last year, with 40% of those exports going to China.

 

While the government in Taipei has not reported any signs of an imminent attack from China, Taiwan has been on high alert since the war in Ukraine began, fearing that Beijing may be inspired by the conflict and attempt to retake what it considers to be its territory.

 

China, meanwhile, has stated that it would prefer “peaceful reunification” with Taiwan, which it considers to be a Chinese province, but has warned that it still reserves “other options.”

 

Last week, Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe warned foreign powers against interfering in the China-Taiwan relationship, insisting that if anyone dared to “split Taiwan from China,” Beijing would ”fight to the end, no matter the cost.”

 

In response to Wei’s warning, Taiwanese Premier Su Tseng-chang called for peaceful talks with China, stating that “Taiwan does not want to close the door to China.” However, he insisted that Beijing was using “various means to oppress and treat Taiwan unreasonably” while Taipei was trying to act with goodwill towards China.

 

“As long as there is equality, reciprocity and no political preconditions, we are willing to engage in goodwill with China,” said Su, adding that “as for China’s harassment of Taiwan with military aircraft, warships, unreasonable suppression and political actions, the one being most unreasonable is China.”

 

Geopolitical tensions in the region have recently flared up after President Joe Biden stated last month that the US would use its military to defend Taiwan if China invaded the island, walking back on America’s long-standing adherence to the ‘One China Policy’ – which recognizes but does not endorse Beijing’s sovereignty over Taiwan and rules out guarantees of a US military intervention in a China-Taiwan conflict.

 

Although Biden’s comments were later retracted by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Chinese government was nevertheless agitated by the statement. Beijing’s frustration has also been spurred by the Pentagon’s recent approval of a $120-million arms sale to Taipei, which Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said had “seriously violated the one-China principle.”

Mikati's statement came after the new European ship "Energean Power", which was built specifically for the Karish field, located off the southern Lebanese coast with Palestine, crossed the Suez Canal. The ship has been set on its way from the port of Singapore to the shore of the Palestinian village of Tantura.

 

Earlier on Friday, the Suez Canal Authority announced: "the success of the first crossing of its kind in the history of the canal of a floating unit for the production, processing, and storage of liquefied natural gas (FPSO) by crossing the world's newest unit, Energean Power, within the convoy of the south."

 

The ship crossed the canal supported through the towing and guiding of four tugs belonging to the Suez Canal Authority. This is the vessel's first sea voyage after its launch in Singapore heading to the Mediterranean.

Top ‘Fact Checker’ USA Today Forced to Delete Articles Over Fabricated Sources

 

USA Today, which is used as a ‘fact checker’ by social media platforms, was forced to delete 23 articles from its website after an investigation found one of its reporters had fabricated sources.

 

Well, this is awkward.

 

The news outlet has an entire section of its website dedicated to ‘fact checking’ and is used by Facebook to ‘fact check’ stories published by other outlets, downranking them in algorithms in a form of soft censorship.

 

However, it appears as though USA Today should have devoted more resources to fact checking itself before publishing articles by its own staff.

 

“USA Today’s breaking news reporter Gabriela Miranda fabricated sources and misappropriated quotes for stories, the news outlet confirmed on Thursday. The outlet conducted an internal audit after receiving an “external correction request” on one of its published stories,” reports Breitbart.

 

The 23 articles which were removed for not meeting the paper’s “editorial standards” included pieces on the Texas abortion ban, anti-vaxxer content and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

 

Miranda, who has now resigned from her position, “took steps to deceive investigators by producing false evidence of her news gathering, including recordings of interviews,” according to the New York Times.

 

“After receiving an external correction request, USA TODAY audited the reporting work of Gabriela Miranda. The audit revealed that some individuals quoted were not affiliated with the organizations claimed and appeared to be fabricated. The existence of other individuals quoted could not be independently verified. In addition, some stories included quotes that should have been credited to others.”

 

As we previously highlighted, USA Today was also forced to hastily delete a series of tweets which critics said were tantamount to the normalization of pedophilia after the newspaper cited “science” to assert that pedophilia was “determined in the womb.”

 

The newspaper was also lambasted by critics after it ‘fact checked’ as “true” claims that an official Trump 2020 t-shirt features a ‘Nazi symbol’.

 

In February last year, the news outlet published an op-ed which denounced Tom Brady for refusing to walk back his previous support for Donald Trump and for being “white.”

 

The newspaper also had to fire their ‘race and inclusion’ editor Hemal Jhaveri after she falsely blamed the Boulder supermarket shooting on white people.

 

In summary, USA Today has a severe bias problem and shouldn’t be used as a non-partisan ‘fact checker’.

Just a thought.

The previous military coup was about as quiet as could be.

I was still in at the time and only heard a few whispers that something was going on… but didn't get word till later after I was out, some of the truth.

I'm still don't have all the particulars of what happened.

First, a short lesson in court corruption.

 

How do a series of secretly related court cases get onto the docket of one Judge? As a case is in the process of being filed in the federal district court clerk's office, the case, under the rules, is supposed to be assigned by random selection, "blindman's buff" they used to call it. But, after studying and investigating court corruption for over 40 years, I know the term to be used is RANDOM MAGIC.

 

One of the first things we probe when we are on the trail of a tainted or suspicious case is: How did THIS particular case get on THAT judge's docket? We know from long experience, corruption starts with the assignment of cases. Another tell-tale sign is when THAT judge uses JUDICIAL PERJURY to "fix" the case in favor of a certain litigant. A judge under a malign if not corrupt influence inserts false so-called "facts" plucked out of the sky and not in the court evidence to justify their decision. In simplistic terms, the undisputed court evidence shows it is DAY. Operating under a corrupt influence, the judge proclaims it is NIGHT, and applies case law regarding NIGHT to support her decision. Judges operate by case law, that is, by prior landmark rulings or statutes which cannot obviously be changed or sidestepped that easily. So the corrupted judge changes the "facts" and applies case law to fraudulent facts. That in essence is judicial perjury. Not every case is the subject of malign influence. But, often the important ones are. Over the years, when we suspected a judge was corrupt, we examined their rulings to see if there are judicial perjuries. An honest judge, mis-stating the undisputed facts, would quickly correct wrong statements. A crooked judge, even when confronted (cowardly lawyers are chicken), refuses.

 

Of the more than two dozen judges sitting in Chicago's U.S. District Court, one judge, by some witchcraft, has assigned to her a string of cases with apparent concealed links. That is Judge Blanche M. Manning [(312)435-7608]. Among these, she has assigned to her, by apparent RANDOM MAGIC, the case of Robert E. Kolody vs. Simon Marketing and The Coca-Cola Company, No. 97 C 190. For a number of years Kolody planned to sue Coke for stealing his intellectual property, designs he made for them. Kolody's confidant, who befriended him over the years and insinuated himself into the matter for some 10 years has been a local lawyer who was always sympathetic to Kolody's grievances against Coca-Cola and their adjunct, Simon Marketing. When Kolody retained an out-of-state attorney from Arkansas to represent him in 1998, the rules required the designation of an additional lawyer as "local counsel". That trusted "local counsel" was Kolody's long-time confidant Daniel V. Hanley, [(708)474-6633], of the Chicago suburb of Lansing, Illinois.

 

All of Kolody's legal strategies and plans and those of his Arkansas lawyer, Dan Ivy, were discussed in confidence with Daniel V. Hanley. But strange things were happening. Coke's lawyers seemed to be able to "beat to the punch" Kolody and Dan Ivy, that is, heading off Kolody and Ivy's legal strategies which, of course, are confidential and not to be divulged by his "local counsel" Daniel V. Hanley.

 

And Judge Blanche M. Manning arrogantly committed judicial perjuries, which some common people call straight out lies about what this copyright case was all about. The Judge evidently knew that she did not have to be careful. She refused to wipe out her judicial perjuries when confronted by Dan Ivy.

The US Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that Americans have a fundamental right to carry a handgun in public, a landmark decision with far-reaching implications for states and cities across the country struggling with a surge in gun violence.

 

The 6-3 decision strikes down a more than century-old New York law that required a person to prove they had a legitimate self-defense need, or “proper cause,” to receive a permit to carry a handgun outside the home.

 

Several other states, including California, have similar laws — and the court’s ruling will curb their ability to restrict people from carrying guns in public.

 

Democratic President Joe Biden denounced the decision, saying it “contradicts both common sense and the Constitution, and should deeply trouble us all.”

 

“We must do more as a society -— not less -— to protect our fellow Americans,” Biden said. “I call on Americans across the country to make their voices heard on gun safety.”

 

Despite a growing call for limits on firearms after two horrific mass shootings in May, the court sided with advocates who said the US Constitution guarantees the right to own and carry guns.

 

The ruling is the first by the court in a major Second Amendment case in over a decade, when it ruled in 2008 that Americans have a right to keep a gun at home for self-defense.

 

It was a stunning victory for the National Rifle Association lobby group, which brought the case along with two New York men who had been denied gun permits.

 

“Today’s ruling is a watershed win for good men and women all across America and is the result of a decades-long fight the NRA has led,” NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre said in a statement.

 

“The right to self-defense and to defend your family and loved ones should not end at your home.”

New York Governor Kathy Hochul called it a “dark day,” while California’s leader Gavin Newsom termed the decision “shameful.”

 

“It is outrageous that at a moment of national reckoning on gun violence, the Supreme Court has recklessly struck down a New York law that limits those who can carry concealed weapons,” Hochul said.

According to reports by Libyan media, protestors stormed Libya's parliament building in the eastern city of Tobruk on Friday.

 

The protestors were demonstrating against worsening living conditions and the political deadlock that has plagued the country for months.

 

Some television channels said protestors managed to enter the building and commit acts of vandalism, with others saying part of the building was burned.

 

The building was empty, as Friday falls on the weekend in Libya.

 

Libya's parliament has been based in Tobruk, hundreds of kilometers east of the capital, since the country's east-west schism began in 2014.

 

Images revealed that protestors were able to smash part of a gate leading to parliament with a bulldozer, with others setting the cars of some officials on fire. Others still were throwing official documents into the air, while committing acts of vandalism.

 

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Geneva, quoting a UN source, reported on Wednesday that the Libyan parties have reached an understanding with a document expected to be signed.

 

The source said that "the document to be signed is very important, and will open the door to a serious path towards the elections," adding that "the document will be presented to the Libyan authorities and parties, to be approved before moving to the implementation phase."

The changes will impact national politics in a dramatic fashion. The 2020 census led to significant changes to congressional seats apportioned to states. Texas gained two congressional seats, while North Carolina, Florida, Montana, Colorado and Oregon each gained one. New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and California each lost one seat in Congress. There was significant surprise that population growth winners such as Texas and Florida didn’t gain more seats. With the possible exception of Illinois not losing a seat, the likely effects of an accurate count would have overwhelmingly aided red states. Simply put, the revised figures show that (mostly) red states had even quicker relative population growth compared to the rest of the country — and especially compared to (mostly) blue states. The error resulted in over 600,000 overcounted residents in New York and a similar amount undercounted in Texas. Last year, media coverage lamented that New York lost a member of Congress by being 89 residents short.
