Delighted to work with The Honorable Carolin Gey, Honorary Consul of Germany to Arizona, and her team again this year to enhance foreign languages and multiculturalism in Arizona!
The Treffpunkt fundraiser last Friday, November 4, was so fun!
Success is not possible without the support and commitment of entertainers, volunteers, great speakers, and benefactors.
Thank you to all who helped to make sure the event was a success.
Special kudos to our entertainers William Doc Jones and his jazz band, opera singer Anna-Lisa Hackett, accompanist Dr. Jeremy Peterman and Magician Robert Ray. Zum Treffpunkt restaurant's Chef and his team also did an amazing job.
Wonderful to work again with Carolin Gey and the Shoen family on this meaningful event, and, of course, delighted to work with Dieter Bollmann, Yvonne and Tom Schwarz, and our volunteers Marlenne, Christoph, Sandra, Barbara, and Sabrina.

The Shoen family made their fortune from truck and trailer rental giant U-Haul.
Husband and wife duo L.S. Shoen and Anna Mary Shoen cofounded the business in 1945.
Thinking his father was wrecking the company, Joe Shoen led a coup in 1986, forcing his dad into retirement and alienating most of his 12 siblings.
The fractured family took its dispute to the courts and remained in litigation for 25 years. The last of the litigation concluded in 2012.

Flora Tromelin is the founder and CEO of FCT Strategies, an LLC located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Flora is an expert in public affairs and communication with over 20 years of experience in management, diplomacy, marketing, communication, international protocol, and project/event management, as well as nearly 10 years of experience supporting local initiatives for non-profit organizations.
A native French speaker, Flora received her master’s in marketing and management in Reims, France, and more recently completed a Master Certificate in cross-cultural communication and global crisis management at Thunderbird School of Global Management, Phoenix, AZ.
Flora is the former Chief of Protocol to the U.S. Ambassador to France and Monaco. In her capacity, she was one of the Ambassador’s closest advisors, and she oversaw the creation and implementation of cross-cultural small and large diplomatic events and projects that supported the French and American historic cooperation.
She is passionate about building relationships that foster long-term partnerships on an international scale and is thrilled about the opportunity to support economic exchanges between France and the beautiful State of Arizona.
