In an interview with Good Morning America, Usher told Kelley Carter he got the news that he had been chosen to perform at Super Bowl LVIII through rapper, Jay Z. He said: "It took a minute. It's kind of like an adrenaline high. You're like 'yeah, of course' but then you really think about it like 'wait a minute, the work you have to do to do this is like a lot." He continued: "But I'm ready." The R&B singer will be performing at this years halftime show on February 11 at 6:30 p.m. The NFL made the announcement September 24, 2023 on social media, using the intro to Usher's Confessions Part II music video in collaboration with Kim Kardashian.
