Weapons shipments that exceed a certain amount require notices to Congress. Biden’s solution is to make the shipments smaller and send hundreds more of them.

The Wall Street Journal notes How the U.S. Arms Pipeline to Israel Avoids Public Disclosure

The U.S. has sent tens of thousands of weapons including bombs and precision guided munitions to Israel since Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks using procedures that have largely masked the scale of the administration’s military support for its closest Middle East ally, according to current and former U.S. officials.

The administration has organized more than 100 individual transfers of arms to Israel, but has only officially notified Congress of two shipments made under the major foreign weapons sales process, which are usually submitted to lawmakers for review and then publicly disclosed, U.S. officials said. In both cases, the administration used an emergency rule that avoids the review process.

The rest of the transfers have been approved using less public mechanisms available to the White House. Those include drawing from U.S. stockpiles, accelerating previously approved deliveries and sending weapons in smaller batches that fall below a dollar threshold that requires the administration to notify Congress, according to current and former U.S. officials.

“While the State Department has no legal obligation to notify below-threshold arms transfers, using this process to repeatedly end-run Congress—as sales of this quantity suggest—would violate the spirit of the law and undermine Congress’s important oversight role” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.), a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, told The Wall Street Journal.

“This stuff is non-transparent by design,” said Josh Paul, a State Department official handling congressional relations who resigned in October in protest of the Biden administration’s policy on the Gaza war.

Biden openly flouts not of the spirt of laws but actual laws, and brags about that as happened with student aid.

The only people who fully understand any laws are the lobbyists who write them.

In this case the weapons industry likely lobbyists inserted provisions to allow the president to ship weapons at will.

The U.S.-supplied arms since the beginning of the Gaza war include at least 23,000 precision guided weapons, including Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, drones, and Joint Direct Attack Munition kits, which turn unguided bombs into “smart” bombs, along with other similar weapons, U.S. officials said.

Israel has also received 58,000 155mm artillery shells and munitions for its Iron Dome air defense system, the officials said.

Now guess what. The Pentagon will complain we don’t have enough of a weapons stockpile and will request more “defense” spending.

Democrat DA Denied Ability to Vote After Someone Had Cast Ballot in Her Name

A Texas district attorney found out first-hand Tuesday that elections can go very wrong.

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg went to the polls to vote for herself in a Democratic primary, only to be told she had already voted, which was news to her, according to KTRK-TV.

Elections officials went back in the records to learn that Ogg’s domestic partner, who shares the same address, had participated in early voting. The partner’s ballot was cast in Ogg’s name.

“It’s very concerning that this could happen to a candidate, and you know, I just want to warn people — make sure you know who you’re voting under in terms of your name,” Ogg said. “I’ve just never seen this happen.”

“I’m the top law enforcement official in the third-biggest jurisdiction in the nation,” Ogg told CNN. “If it can happen to the district attorney, it can happen to anyone.”

The glitch was fixed on Tuesday, so Ogg could vote.

“There are no flawless elections. There are smooth elections, and we normally mitigate all of that in a very timely manner,” Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth said, according to KTRK.

Hudspeth issued a full explanation in a statement, according to KRIV.

“An incident occurred this morning when DA Kim Ogg went to the polls and was unable to cast a ballot because a ballot had already been cast in her name. Last Friday, DA Ogg’s partner, who is registered to vote at the same address as DA Ogg, voted in the primary elections under DA Ogg’s name,” Hudspeth said.

“In the process of qualifying a voter, each voter is asked to review and confirm the information that appears on the iPad screen, including the voter’s name. If the information that appears on the screen is not accurate, the voter must notify the election clerk,” the statement continued.

80-year-old John Kerry announced recently he was stepping down as US Special Envoy on Climate for the Biden regime after years of hard work battling global warming and destroying the economy and US middle class.

Kerry led the effort to unleash hundreds of billions in subsidies that aim to green the economy. It’s a lucrative business if you can call the shots or live in China where the windmills are made – using fossil fuels.

During a presser this week Kerry made another of his timeless statements, this time connecting global warming and war with Russia.

NATO rehearsing conflict with Moscow – top security official

The US-led bloc is becoming “increasingly aggressive” in nature, Secretary of Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev has said

NATO’s ongoing ‘Steadfast Defender 2024’ maneuvers are heightening tensions globally by enacting a military confrontation with Moscow, the secretary of the Security Council of Russia has said. Nikolay Patrushev also cited the alliance’s growing military spending as an indication of its “increasingly aggressive nature.”

The exercises, hailed as the largest NATO has held in decades, kicked off in late January and will end in May. According to Supreme Allied Commander for Europe Christopher Cavoli, the drills feature some 90,000 troops from all 32 member states. In addition, 1,100 combat vehicles, including 133 tanks and 533 infantry fighting vehicles, as well as over 50 naval vessels and 80 helicopters, drones and fighter jets are taking part, it is believed.

Speaking on Thursday, Patrushev stated that ‘Steadfast Defender 2024’ drills, “during which a scenario of an armed confrontation with Russia is being rehearsed, are undoubtedly increasing tensions and destabilizing the situation in the world.”

He claimed that the “destructive role of the US in modern history is obvious,” and noted that no other country has “unleashed so many wars and military conflicts.”

Patrushev characterized NATO as an “important tool” employed by Washington to exert pressure and influence on other nations. The official pointed out that the Brussels-based military bloc has come directly to Russia’s Western border, and is preparing for future conflicts.

He also cautioned that NATO is planning to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as in the Arctic.

Late last month, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also cited the military drills as a threat and NATO as an “instrument of confrontation” used by the US.

Speaking in the run-up to the drills in January, General Cavoli said that the exercises would simulate an “emerging conflict scenario against a near-peer adversary,” covering thousands of kilometers all across Europe.

Earlier this year, multiple senior officials from NATO member states, including the UK, Germany, and Estonia, alleged that Russia was planning an attack on the bloc within the next few years.

Moscow has consistently denied those claims, with President Vladimir Putin insisting that Russia “has no interest … geopolitically, economically or militarily … in waging war against NATO.”

Through a form on the EOLDN website, election officials can make a confidential request for legal assistance, which is provided pro bono through a national network of attorneys recruited by EOLDN. US Has Approved 100 Arms Deals for Israel Since October 7 to Support Gaza Slaughter

The revelation comes as US officials are claiming to be concerned about the humanitarian crisis and starvation in Gaza

The Biden administration has secretly approved more than 100 separate Foreign Military Sales to Israel since October 7 to support the mass killing of Palestinians in Gaza, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

It’s unclear how many of the sales are being funded by the US, but many could be, as Israel receives $3.3 billion in annual Foreign Military Financing, a form of US military aid that gives foreign governments money to purchase US arms.

Only two sales have been made public, one for $106 million worth of 120mm tank ammunition and one for $147.5 million in components needed to make 155mm artillery shells. The Biden administration drew criticism for the deals because they bypassed Congress to push them through as quickly as possible.

US officials told the Post that there was no public debate for the other 100 deals because the dollar value fell under the threshold needed to inform Congress. Considering the vast number of arms sales in such a short period of time, making them low value was clearly an effort to keep the arms transfers out of the public eye as President Biden is under increasing scrutiny for supporting Israel’s genocidal campaign.

The Post report said that US officials told Congress during a classified briefing that the hundreds of sales amounted to thousands of precision-guided munitions, small-diameter bombs, bunker busters, small arms, and other types of “lethal aid.”

The exact number of bombs and other types of equipment the US has delivered to Israel since October 7 is not clear. The Wall Street Journal reported on December 1 that the US had provided Israel with 57,000 artillery shells and 15,000 bombs, including massive bunker busters, but that figure is likely much higher since the report was published over three months ago.

The revelation from the Post comes as the Biden administration claims it’s pressuring Israel to allow more aid into Gaza, where children are starving to death and a major famine is imminent. But the US is not using any of its leverage over Israel as it continues to provide unconditional military aid for its military operations and starvation campaign.

Over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 71,000 wounded in Gaza since October 7, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which says about 70% of the casualties are women and children. UKHSA Provides Mortality Data to Big Pharma But Not to the General Public for ‘Commercial Sensitivity Reasons’

Jenny Harries became a Dame in the 2022 New Year Honours for services to health. This was partly due to her role as Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England during the pandemic.

She went on to become the Chief Executive of the U.K. Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in 2021. This combined Public Health England and England’s NHS Test and Trace.

On Monday, Harries appeared before the Health and Social Care Committee where she was asked about the data around excess deaths.

She confirmed (around 17:15) that whilst the agency doesn’t routinely share record level mortality datasets that include vaccination dates, doses and co-morbidities, it has released anonymised, aggregate data to vaccine manufacturers. Apparently, this is for their own vaccines, to support obligations to report as part of safety surveillance.

However, Harries goes on to imply that Parliament and the public may not be able to have access to the same data provided to the vaccine manufacturers, for commercial sensitivity reasons.

Biden administration says the union representing the judges can no longer speak publicly without agency sign off.

The Justice Department is warning one of its employee groups that it can no longer speak publicly without prior agency approval, raising concerns the Biden administration is placing a “gag order” on certain workers despite a promise to be their advocates.

The issue stems from the National Association of Immigration Judges losing its recognition as a union, leading Justice to tell the organization any rights it previously enjoyed as part of a collective bargaining agreement are no longer valid. NAIJ has represented immigration judges for more than 50 years and has never previously faced restrictions on its public testimony.

In an email last month to NAIJ leadership, Sheila McNulty, the chief immigration judge at Justice's Executive Office of Immigration Review said that while those officials may be “under the impression” in written and spoken engagements without agency authorization, that was not the case.

“The agency understands this is a point of contention for you, but any bargaining agreement related to that point that may have existed previously is not valid at present,” McNulty said. “Please consider this email formal notice that you are subject to the same policies as every EOIR employee.”

In November 2020, the Federal Labor Relations Authority voted to decertify NAIJ’s union status, asserting that the judges are now management officials. FLRA reaffirmed that decision in 2022, despite the Biden administration withdrawing its request for decertification. NAIJ appealed that decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, but the court last year dismissed the case for lack of jurisdiction while the union was still seeking a remedy before the labor authority.

Matt Biggs, president of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, NAIJ’s parent union, speculated the directive came down now as a result of testimony NAIJ President Mimi Tsankov gave before the Senate last fall.

“It’s a pretty draconian directive,” said Biggs, who spoke on behalf of the NAIJ leaders who are no longer permitted to freely speak to the media. “It’s pretty unprecedented.”

NAIJ has occasionally used its platform to speak out against policy changes it views as harmful to the roles of immigration judges. The group has regularly made itself available to the media, testified before Congress and participated in panel discussions. It has frequently derided its placement within Justice—as Tsankov reiterated in her recent congressional testimony—saying it should instead be made an independent court under Article 1 of the Constitution. Political pressures and departmental mismanagement made possible under the current arrangement has contributed to the backlog of nearly 3 million cases, the union has said.

EOIR did not respond to a request for comment on the new policy.

New Bill Would Strip COVID-19 Vaccine Manufacturers Of Liability Protection

Legislation introduced on March 5 would strip COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers of liability protections, enabling Americans injured by the shots to sue the companies.

The bill, proposed by Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), would retroactively remove protections from the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act) for COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers.

“No federal law … may make the manufacturer of a COVID-19 vaccine immune from suit or liability, or limit the liability of such a manufacturer, with respect to claims for loss caused by, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from the administration to or the use by an individual of a COVID–19 vaccine,” the bill states.

The PREP Act currently protects manufacturers and people who administer the vaccines from liability, under a 2020 declaration entered by then-Health Secretary Alex Azar during former President Donald Trump’s administration in 2020. President Joe Biden’s administration has since extended the declaration.

The only exception to the PREP Act protection is in cases of death or serious injury caused by “willful misconduct.”

The protection even covers people who “reasonably could have believed” they were protected even if, in actuality, they were not, according to an opinion from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

“Millions of Americans were forced to take a COVID-19 shot out of fear of losing their livelihoods and under false pretenses. Many have faced injury from the vaccine, but few have been afforded little recourse,” Mr. Roy said in a statement.

He said he was introducing the new bill “to empower Americans to remove crony federal liability protections for COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers and empower injured Americans,” adding, “The American people deserve justice for the infringement on their personal medical freedom and those medically harmed deserve restitution.”

As part of the federal vaccine system, people who have suspected or confirmed injuries from COVID-19 vaccines can apply for compensation from the government under a program called the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program. But as of January, just 11 people have been compensated, with the highest payout being just $8,961.

The overwhelming majority of claims that have been processed have been rejected, according to the HHS, which both runs and administers the program. Some of the denials involved people whose doctors diagnosed them with vaccine injuries. A lawsuit has challenged the constitutionality of the program, describing it as a “kangaroo court.”

The new legislation makes clear that it does not affect the ability of people to apply for recompense through the compensation program.

Pfizer and Moderna did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the bill and have not appeared to comment publicly on it.

A spokesperson for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, a trade group for pharmaceutical companies, told Fox News that “by upending the existing liability framework manufacturers rely upon to provide predictable vaccine development, our ability to address future public health threats will be at risk.”

HHS has said the PREP Act declaration “has been a key tool for ensuring that Americans have broad access to critical COVID-19 countermeasures including vaccines, tests, and treatments” and “has provided flexibilities and protections for those individuals and entities who have been involved in providing these critical tools that have helped the United States get to a better place with COVID-19.”

Mr. Roy’s bill already has 19 co-sponsors, including Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Clary Higgins (R-La.), Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), and Andy Harris (R-Md.).

“Many Americans were wrongly forced to take a COVID-19 vaccine,” Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.), another co-sponsor, said in a statement. “Of course, they should be allowed to sue if they become injured by the shot.”

The U.S. has sent tens of thousands of weapons including bombs and precision guided munitions to Israel since Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks using procedures that have largely masked the scale of the administration’s military support for its closest Middle East ally, according to current and former U.S. officials.

The administration has organized more than 100 individual transfers of arms to Israel, but has only officially notified Congress of two shipments made under the major foreign weapons sales process, which are usually submitted to lawmakers for review and then publicly disclosed, U.S. officials said. In both cases, the administration used an emergency rule that avoids the review process.

The rest of the transfers have been approved using less public mechanisms available to the White House. Those include drawing from U.S. stockpiles, accelerating previously approved deliveries and sending weapons in smaller batches that fall below a dollar threshold that requires the administration to notify Congress, according to current and former U.S. officials.

“While the State Department has no legal obligation to notify below-threshold arms transfers, using this process to repeatedly end-run Congress—as sales of this quantity suggest—would violate the spirit of the law and undermine Congress’s important oversight role” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.), a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, told The Wall Street Journal.

“This stuff is non-transparent by design,” said Josh Paul, a State Department official handling congressional relations who resigned in October in protest of the Biden administration’s policy on the Gaza war.

Israel has also received 58,000 155mm artillery shells and munitions for its Iron Dome air defense system, the officials said.

Now guess what. The Pentagon will complain we don’t have enough of a weapons stockpile and will request more “defense” spending.

In a post on X, Reddit said it's investigating the issue that is causing 'intermittent issues and slow loads for users.'

Although the outage is affecting countries around the world including Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada, the majority of issues were reported in the U.S.

This is the second issue Reddit is investigating on the same day, with users reporting the app was loading slow and said they were experiencing 'intermittent failures' at 11 a.m. EST.

Reddit said on X that it had reportedly fixed the issue less than an hour later.

DownDetector, which monitors online outages, showed tens of thousands of people in the US complained that they experienced issues with the app, but only about 200-300 people in other countries across Europe reported similar problems.

Reddit has reported experiencing an elevated number of errors on its site since February 22, with at least three problems occurring since then.

The outage comes just before the company plans to take its platform public later this month in an attempt to get more advertisers, since it depends solely on ad sales for revenue.

Reddit is seeking to obtain a valuation of up to $6.5 billion and is targeting $31 to $34 per share, according to Business Insider.

Other sites have experienced major outages in recent weeks, with Reddit's system issues occurring just two days after Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger crashed and less than 24 hours after LinkedIn went down.

AT&T likewise experienced a roughly six-hour outage on February 22, as Americans question the reliability of U.S. servers.
