World Economic Forum Announces Governance Transition

 

Geneva, Switzerland, 21 April 2025 – Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum, has informed the Board:

 

“Following my recent announcement, and as I enter my 88th year, I have decided to step down from the position of Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees, with immediate effect.”

 

At an extraordinary Board meeting on 20 April, the Board of Trustees took note of the resignation of Klaus Schwab. In accordance with the Forum’s Rules and Regulations, the Board unanimously appointed Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe as Chairman ad interim. It also established a Search Committee for the selection of a future Chair.

BUSTED: Video Leak Exposes Blue Origin “Space” Women

This story really ruins the whole “women in space!” agenda.

Here’s what they’re telling us: Six women, including Katy Perry, Gayle King, and Jeff Bezos’s fiancée took a joyride to the “edge of space”.

They were launched from a private Texas ranch. The Blue Origin rocket went up, floated around for three minutes, then brought them back down to Earth.

The point of this? I suppose it’s to stir up goodwill towards women DEI hires? That’s my guess.

 

BUT…. what’s the real scoop?

Well, in order to get out of the “space pod”, these women need to have someone from the outside crank it open.But…someone didn’t get the memo and opened it from the inside!“Oops!”, quickly closing it again so Jeff Bezos could flex his muscles and let them out. Bezos to the rescue! What a joke.

This shows you how dumb they think we are.

Take a look:

The Guardian reports the fairytale: Six women – including the pop star Katy Perry and morning TV host Gayle King – safely completed a trip to the edge of outer space and back from a private Texas ranch on Monday morning on a rocket belonging to Jeff Bezos, the Amazon co-founder and commercial space flight entrepreneur.

The women, who also included Bezos’s fiancee, Lauren Sánchez, made the trip to the Kármán line – the internationally recognized boundary of space – to float about, weightlessly, in the rocket’s capsule for three minutes before returning to Earth.

“Yeah baby, go for launch,” a mission controller could be heard saying shortly before the single-engine New Shepard rocket blasted off on time, at 8.30am local time (9.30am ET and 13.30am GMT). King’s longtime friend, the TV talkshow host Oprah Winfrey, was on hand in Texas for the launch. Winfrey remarked that, for King, “this is bigger than just going to space” and “more than just overcoming fear”. “Life is about continuing into grow into the fullest expression of yourself,” Winfrey said. The talkshow queen could later be seen rubbing her eyes as the rocket reached its maximum ascent velocity of 2,300mph – or Mach 3. A commentator remarked that the vehicle was rising into the atmosphere ahead of “a stream of steam”.

As the rocket reached its highest point, about 62 miles (100km) above the Earth, a passenger could be heard to exclaim: “Oh my goddess.” Another could be heard saying: “I love you, Jeff Bezos.”

On the way back down to Earth, more screaming could be heard. The capsule, detached from its booster, made a soft landing on the Texas plains, two miles from the launchpad. Oh man, that’s a funny tale.

The pod racing scene on The Phantom Menace was more real than this ‘pod’ in space story.

The door-opening-from-the-inside makes this whole news report hit a little differently now.

China warns countries not to align with US in trade

Washington reportedly plans to pressure nations seeking tariff relief to reign in their turnover with Beijing

 

Beijing has issued a warning to countries considering limiting their trade with China in hopes of gaining tariff relief from the US, saying it will retaliate against any such moves.

 

The administration of US President Donald Trump plans to pressure other countries into limiting trade with China, including imposing monetary sanctions, in return for better trade terms, according to media reports.

 

China “firmly opposes any party reaching a deal at the expense of China’s interests,” the Commerce Ministry said in a statement on Monday, adding that Beijing would “resolutely take countermeasures.”

 

Washington’s tariff standoff with Beijing comes amid a broader US campaign targeting dozens of countries. While most of the elevated tariffs were paused for 90 days, allowing for trade negotiations, China was excluded from the reprieve. The total tariff on Chinese goods has been hiked to 145%.

 

“Appeasement will not bring peace, and compromise will not earn respect,” the ministry said. “Seeking so-called exemptions by harming the interests of others for one’s own selfish and shortsighted gains is like negotiating with a tiger for its skin. In the end, it will only lead to a lose-lose situation.”

 

The Wall Street Journal reported last week, citing unnamed sources, that the Trump administration aims to use tariff negotiations to pressure US trading partners to limit ties with China.

 

The plan reportedly involves blocking Chinese goods from transiting through their countries, preventing Chinese firms from relocating to avoid US duties, and rejecting cheap Chinese industrial imports.

 

Trump has not officially stated he would pressure countries to curb trade with China, but the president has suggested openness to the idea.

 

“Maybe, yeah, maybe,” Trump told Fox News last week, when he was asked whether Latin American countries should be forced to choose between Chinese and US investment. “They should do that.”

 

Since the escalation of trade tensions with the US, China has been actively strengthening its ties with other countries, engaging with officials from the EU, Japan, and South Korea. Chinese President Xi Jinping toured Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia last week, where he signed a series of bilateral cooperation agreements and reaffirmed China’s commitment to free and open trade.

 

“The fact is, nobody wants to pick a side,” Bo Zhengyuan, partner at China-based policy consultancy Plenum told NBC News.

 

“If countries have high reliance on China in terms of investment, industrial infrastructure, technology know-how and consumption, I don’t think they’ll be buying into US demands. Many Southeast Asian countries belong to this category,” he added

Last month, in Fremont County, Colorado, a mostly rural county southwest of Colorado Springs, two Fremont County detectives noted a van passing them without dimming headlights and so turned and initiated a traffic stop - and what they found was an eye-opener: Around 180,000 rounds of .30 caliber and 7.62mm rifle ammunition, packed in cases in the van.

 

Two Mexican nationals in the U.S. on nonimmigrant visas were arrested during a traffic stop in Colorado last month while transporting 180,000 rounds of ammunition, authorities said Wednesday.

 

Caesar Ramon Martinez Solis, 41, and Humberto Ivan Amador Gavira, 24, both of Mexico, were pulled over in Canon City on March 26, the U.S. Attorney’s Office – District of Colorado said in a news release.

 

Two Fremont County detectives had spotted a white Chevrolet van passing them without dimming its headlights, in violation of state law, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Canon City Daily Record. The detectives said the van also failed to signal when turning into a gas station and had a defective license plate lamp.

 

During the traffic stop, the detectives discovered approximately 150 boxes of .308 ammunition and approximately 30 boxes of 7.62 ammunition, officials said. Each box was labeled as containing 1,000 rounds.

 

It's unclear whether the 7.62 ammo described is 7.62 NATO, which is roughly equivalent to the .308 Winchester, or if it was 7.62x39 ammo, commonly used in AK-pattern rifles. Either way, that's a lot of ammunition, and this was not a casual purchase. The explanation that these two, who were apparently actually in the country legally, just doesn't hold water.

 

Martinez Solis told authorities that he and Amador Garcia, whom he claimed was his brother-in-law, had traveled from Mexico to Denver a day earlier to purchase a vehicle before driving to Salt Lake City to look at another vehicle he was interested in buying.

 

In Salt Lake City, the men stopped at a firearms and ammunition store, where Amador Garcia bought the ammunition, according to the affidavit.

 

"[Martinez Solis] further explained that he did not know the intent with the ammunition but that he believed it was destined for Pueblo," the affidavit stated. Pueblo is a city in Colorado located about 113 miles south of Denver.

 

Nobody "stops at a firearms and ammunition store" and casually purchases 180,000 rounds of rifle ammunition packed in cases. There's something else going on here.

 

This much ammunition, for one thing, would cost a lot, as in, well over six figures. It's also unlikely in the extreme that any firearms store would casually sell 180,000 rounds of ammo to two random guys in a van. No, this was a planned operation, with purchases (I'm betting) spread out over a number of different stores and likely in different states. This ammunition, if I had to guess, is intended for either gang warfare or crime; these two, again, if I had to guess, are working for a cartel.

 

Now, Homeland Security is involved, along with the Denver Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. It's a safe bet there will be more charges, and this whole thing will be unraveled. There's just too much smoke here for there not to be a fire somewhere.

summoned John Ullyot last year, he knew the

message about the school’s leadership turmoil

would have to be “carefully crafted.”

This was not his first “high-intensity en-

gagement.” Ullyot managed communications

during its investigation of torture and abuse

the popular president enraged students and

faculty members, and their protests made na-

tional news, including the front pages of The

Washington Post.

“Had we been brought in ahead of time,

we could have looked at whether or not [firing

Sullivan] was a good idea,” he says. “The best

reputation-management is to deal with some-

thing before it actually becomes a crisis…. In

this case, we were brought in after there had

been a precipitating incident.”

Eventually, the board of visitors decided to

reinstate Sullivan. “My task was to figure out

how to bring her back in a way that would pre-

serve the board’s strength and independence

and not have them look like they had been

pressured,” Ullyot says. The press excoriated

Rector Helen Dragas—an op-ed in The Post

described her as “divisive and tone-deaf”—

but she ultimately survived the fiasco.

Months later, Ullyot was at a memorial

service at Deerfield Academy in western Mas-

sachusetts when he was approached by Dave

Fuente, who had run with him on Deerfield’s

cross-country team. Fuente, a UVA graduate

and the chairman of New York City-based

SSA & Co., had seen Ullyot’s name in connec-

tion with the bungled ouster at the university

and noted that High Lantern Group, a subsid-

iary of SSA, specialized in crisis communica-

tions. Before long, Fuente had arranged for

Ullyot to meet with Daniel Casse, a managing

partner at the firm.

Earlier this month, Ullyot was named a

managing director at High Lantern Group.

The 44-year-old was most recently a senior

vice president with Hill + Knowlton Strate-

gies, where his clients included Medtronic,

DHL, Ford, Deloitte, medical-device-maker

 

Zimmer, Pfizer,EADS, and the Marine Corps.

A graduate of Harvard University, Ullyot

served as an intelligence officer in the Ma-

‘Zelensky-linked’ Ukrainian blogger mocks Pope’s death

Sergey Sternenko once headed the ultranationalist Right Sector movement in Odessa

 

A right-wing Ukrainian activist and military blogger, who was once reportedly offered a job by Vladimir Zelensky, has apparently mocked the death of Pope Francis. The Vatican announced on Monday morning that the head of the Catholic Church had passed away at age 88.

Sternenko’s post on Telegramgot over 12,000 laughing emojireactions, with many in the comments ridiculing both the pontiff and the US Vice President.

 

Ahead of the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary elections, Zelensky is said to have approached Sternenko with an offer to head Ukraine’s Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Odessa.The proposal came as numerous far-right and ultranationalist groups like Right Sector, Svoboda, and Azov had gained significant influencewithin the Ukrainian government, particularly following the 2014 Maidan coup.

 

The strong influence of neo-Nazi groups in Kiev ultimately became one of the root causes for Russia’s military involvement in 2022, with Moscow naming “denazification” as one of its key objectives.

 

Sternenko’s post about Vance and the Pope comes amid strained relations between Washington and Kiev, which particularly soured after Zelensky got into a shouting match with US President Donald Trump and Vance in the White House in February. The Ukrainian leader was accused of being ungrateful for US support and “gambling with World War III.”

 

Since then, Zelensky has claimed that the Trump administration is being misled by “Russian narratives” and suggested that Moscow has an “enormous influence” on US policies.

 

Last week, Vance responded by accusing Zelensky of making “absurd” statements, noting that the US has been keeping “the entire [Kiev] government and war effort together.” Trump also admitted last Thursday that he was “not happy” with the Ukrainian leader and the way he has been handling the conflict with Russia.

Putin confirms end of Easter truce

Vladimir Zelensky’s first reaction to Moscow’s ceasefire initiative proves Kiev’s lack of commitment to peace, the Russian president has said

 

Russia has resumed military action against Ukrainian forces after a 30-hour Easter ceasefire, President Vladimir Putin has said. Kiev’s first reaction to the ceasefire announcement on Saturday was indicative of its attitude to any peace initiatives, he added.

 

Putin announced the unilateral suspension of hostilities on Saturday, ordering Russian troops to only engage Ukrainian forces in response to their attacks. Commenting on the ceasefire on Monday, the Russian leader said it proved that unlike Kiev, Moscow is seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

 

“Our attitude to ceasefires is positive, and that is why we proposed the initiative, especially as it was during the holy Easter days,” Putin stated. “We’ve seen the initial reaction [from Kiev], as I believe everyone did. The statement characterized our proposal as ‘playing with lives’ and so on.”

 

The phrase was used by Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky, who claimed on Saturday that the Russian initiative was not genuine.

 

“Apparently, smarter people – probably foreign handlers – explained that refusing such a proposal is a losing proposition for the Kiev regime, and [the Ukrainians] swiftly agreed,”Putin said.

 

He added that Kiev’s subsequent messaging has been aimed at seizing the initiative by proposing to expand the now-expired pause. Putin cited military reports thatthere was a reduction in hostilities, but not a complete lull.

 

The Russian leader also addressed Kiev’s recent complaints about long-range attacks on what Ukrainian officials have claimed were civilian sites.Putin emphasized that in all such cases, Ukrainian authorities were using civilian locations for military purposes.

 

“Everybody knows the strike that our armed forces delivered at a congress center of a university in Sumy. Is that a civilian site? Sure. But it was used to award troops who had committed crimes in Kursk Region [in Russia],” Putin said.

 

“We consider those people criminals who must face accountability for what they did,” he added.

 

Russia treats gatherings of Ukrainian military service members as military targets, even if they take place inside a formally civilian building.

I agree with the people in Massapequa, Long Island, who are fighting furiously to keep the Massapequa Chiefs logo on their Teams and School. Forcing them to change the name, after all of these years, is ridiculous and, in actuality, an affront to our great Indian population. The

School Board, and virtually everyone in the area, are demanding the name be kept. It has become the School’s identity and, what could be wrong with using the name, “Chief”? I don’t see the Kansas City Chiefs changing their name anytime soon! Many of you have read Corrie tenBoom's "The Hiding Place." She and her family hid those the Nazis were capturing, in a hidden room they built in their home - in Holland. She and her sister were eventually arrested and taken to a concentration camp. Her sister died there, but Corrie survived.

What I'm suggesting is this. If you own a home and have children or grandchildren, construct a hidden room, with a fake wall. Read Corrie's book. The people that hid there had to practice escaping into this room within seconds, and remaining perfectly quiet. No one hidden was ever caught.

If it comes to that, families with children will have to practice too, and be prepared. This will get more serious than we imagine.
