You're assuming the quality control is adequate. Most warehouses I worked at cut many corners because it would cost too much to throw out an entire batch because of a bad reading.
Or a worker fucked up a batch, but let it slide without letting management know because they would lose their job or risk a promotion loss.
I just used your post as an excuse to write what I did since it randomly came to mind.
Like I remember one time at this place I worked at, basically I fucked up the entire batch of photos I was working on which took like 2-3 months to complete. I exported the final photos with the wrong settings, and deleted the original files. So like 5,000 photos were overexposed-looking.
I woulda asked my boss how to fix it, but he was hot-tempered so I just didn't say anything.
So basically introspecting on my own past retardations, it helps me understand how dumb shit can happen all the time.
I was his best employee too. The customer never complained so I guess I got away with it.
Yeah. So you can expand that on security flaws like employees clicking on compromised email links or downloading bad files. It's really easy to fuck up, and try to calculate repercussions of admitting you messed up when you're tired and panicking.
You realize it will take all night to fix the problem, and you just end up going home because you wanna fuck your girlfriend.
