No it won't. DeBlasio is a short-timer. While he can perhaps control the flow of news that originates inside of NYC, he can't keep it from leaking to the outside and coming back in. The news that comes back in (phone calls, texts, e-mails, snail-mails, travel, photos, etc) more nearly matches what New Yorkers are seeing in their neighborhoods than the official versions and the unofficial versions are accepted as authentic.
