Every time I see POTUS trashing Jeff Sessions in public, I think he must be prepping the TDS media to trust Sessions because MOABs Sessions had a hand in, are incoming.

Health department issues cease and desist order to Calhan restaurants

COLORADO SPRINGS (KXRM) — The El Paso County Health Department issues cease and desist order to Calhan restaurants that opened dine-in services in defiance of Colorado’s safer-at-home guidance, the department confirmed Thursday.

 

The owners of Karen’s Kafe and Stephanie’s Bar and Grill and Western Omelette in Calhan each opened their dining rooms, capping off customers at 50% capacity, on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

They told FOX21 they have yet to receive a cease and desist order.

 

“We want to open no matter what, and that’s what we are doing, opening no matter what,” Cheyenne Reed with Karen’s Kafe said.

 

On Thursday, parking lots at both locations were nearly full. Some customers drove from all parts of the state including Denver and Yoder.

 

“This shutdown is killing the businesses it’s time to open up the country and move on,” customer James Richardson.

 

Western Omelette has two locations in Colorado Springs but owner Bill Borders says his Calhan location is different.

 

“We’re a small country town, so we are different,” Borders said. “People out here have desired for us to take care of them.”

 

Borders says he and Karen Starr, Owner of Karen’s Kafe, and Stephanie’s Bar & Grill are defending their rights by choosing to open their dining rooms.

 

“Her and I are willing to do what we need to do, we have constitutional rights,” Borders said.

 

Both owners and their employees have an issue with the current Safer-at-Home guidance because it fails to include the opening of dine-in services.

 

“It’s our choice whether we want to stay-in, if we have a choice to go to a salon, tattoo shop, we should have the choice to eat at a restaurant,” Reed said.

 

The El Paso County Board of Commissioners wouldn’t comment specifically on this matter but they are working with the health department to develop a variance waiver to open places of worship and restaurants early.

 

In a statement to FOX21, a spokesperson said the following:

 

“We have directed county staff, and asked public health, to develop a plan that hospitals can agree with and commissioners can vote on as quickly as possible. Public Health has indicated they will start writing the necessary plans and coordinate with local hospitals immediately. The Board will hold a public meeting and a vote once Public Health and our local hospitals have agreed on the plan forward.”

Pritzker: Police can charge violators of stay at home order

 

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — The weather outside is getting warmer and the temptation to head outside with friends is stronger than ever.

 

However, on Sunday, Gov. JB Pritzker said although the stay at home order is being self-enforced at this time, law enforcement does have the ability to take further action.

 

Pritzker said his office has discouraged police from charging those in violation of the order with a crime.

 

"If they refuse and if they repeatedly refuse, there is the ability by the police officers to charge them with reckless conduct and take them into custody," Pritzker said. "Though again, we have discouraged police from doing that because we believe that people will, in general, follow the rules.

 

The Sangamon County Sheriff's Office has said enforcement will be a gradual process. Education and verbal warnings will be given before any further action is taken.

 

The Illinois State Police have said something similar, where education will be used before harsher actions are taken with repeat offenders.

You are confusing your model with code.

 

Computer code idempotent and deterministic. That is for a given set of inputs it will produce the same results. If this were not so then computers would be pretty useless. Mathematically this makes sense as a computer processes binary data with a limited range of mathematical and boolean operators and branch routines.

 

Now you want your model to be non deterministic. You do that by introducing some randomness but that has to be under your control not via some bug in the code or race hazard or timing event between the thread scheduler or some such. You want to be able to actually test the model under controlled circumstances and this clearly wasn’t possible with the code Fergusson wrote.

 

Getting randomness in computer systems is actually pretty hard and an area of study in itself.

 

The critic of Fergusson’s code appears to be valid. I don’t think you read it properly or you didn’t understand what was said. You may be a biologist but you ain’t no computer scientist.

Quite a whie back, i was researching the clampetts empire and while Bill was Governor of Arkansas, there was a Bio-Waste Company that existed, headquartered in Mena. Anyway, this Bio-Waste Disposal comany turned quite a profit then once Clampett left to become POTUS, they collapsed under financial turmoil. Greece: Turks fire weapons near Evros border again

 

Turkish soldiers along the Greek border once again fired their weapons on two separate occasions this week as Turkey continues to make increasingly provocative moves against its European neighbor.

 

In the first incident, which occurred Tuesday night, Greek personnel reported hearing shots being fired from the village of Marasia, on the Turkish bank of the Evros River, as reported by Ekathimerini. The Evros runs along the border.

 

On Wednesday afternoon, Greek security forces on border patrol again reported Turkish soldiers firing shots near Tychero, a Greek village.

 

These latest incidents followed similar reports from last week, when Turkish vessels in the Evros opened fire for no apparent reason. In another incident, a Turkish soldier fired a shot near German police who were patrolling the border, as previously reported by Voice of Europe.

Anons, I'm not sure how to sauce this as its mostly a personal observation but I think its relevant to what we do here. If Its stupid I'm sure somebody will point it out. Several years ago I moved to a foreign country for work. I was there for 5 years then I moved back. Before I left the USA, media types nearly always referred to elected officials as "public servants." When I returned they were referring to them as "our leaders." recently I have heard and seen several references to "the ruling class." I imagine that it was on its way to becoming "our rulers."

 

I think this is an illustration of how "they" shape public perception. If you have a servant, you expect to have to supervise them. If you have a leader, you expect to follow them (or have them supervise you). If you have a ruler, you are expected to serve them.

 

We now have entire generations that have only heard of public officials referred to as our leaders and are not likely very familiar with the concepts associated with them being our public servants. This seems to show up very clearly in the many people that docilely accept dictates associated with the Chinese virus.

Md. Gov. Blocks Ban On Private Sale Of Rifles, Shotguns

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has vetoed legislation that would ban the sale, rental and private transfer of long guns in the state. On Thursday, he issued a veto on Senate Bill 208 and House Bill 4.

 

The bills would have required individuals to pay a fee and obtain government permission before transferring any rifle or shotgun to another person. There would be no exception made for loans or gifts.

 

State Sen. Susan Lee (D), who sponsored the bills, began the hearing by pointing out how firearms account for the majority of U.S. suicides. She said that rifles and shotguns are far less regulated than handguns in Maryland, which makes them a top concern.

 

“Firearms are by far the most lethal form of suicide, cutting and pills have a success rate in the single digits,” said Sam Levy, counsel for gun control advocate and nonprofit organization Everytown for Gun Safety. “Nobody who uses a firearm of any kind gets a second chance.”

 

In a statement, Hogan said he had made it clear before the hearing that his highest priority was to “hold violent criminals accountable and stop the shootings in Baltimore City.” He went on to say that restricting law-abiding citizens would do nothing to curtail that violent crime.

 

“People doing these kinds of transfers are not folks living in downtown Bethesda or Baltimore, they are people who have been following the law,” said Sen. Justin Ready (R. Md.). “And now they’re going to have to spend money and go through a complicated procedure just to sell their buddy, who they’ve known for 30-years, a shotgun.”

 

The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, delegate Luke Clippinger, told reporters he was “disappointed” with the outcome, adding that a lot of the bills sent to the governor’s desk would have “had an impact on crime in a holistic manner.”

 

While the assembly had originally planned to return for a special session, that plan was recently nixed in a bid to protect lawmakers and staff from COVID-19.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) visited Dallas' Salon a la Mode Friday morning for a hair cut on the first day salons were allowed to reopen in the state amid the coronavirus pandemic.

 

Cruz said he hadn't had a hair cut in about three months, due to the pandemic, but that he could think of no better place to get it done than at the Dallas salon whose owner, Shelley Luther, was embroiled in controversy this week after refusing to comply with

 

Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order that salons stay closed until May 8.

 

So, Cruz said, he jumped on a flight to Dallas early Friday and arrived at the salon at about 10 a.m.

 

While a stylist trimmed his hair, Cruz chatted with Luther about her experience, background and her love of Texas.

The Supreme Court on Friday granted the Trump administration's request to temporarily shield redacted grand jury materials related to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe from the Democrat-led House.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) – Businesses started to reopen in Clovis Tuesday after a city council vote eliminated the city's emergency orders…

 

The Clovis City Council not only rescinded its emergency orders, it directed police to focus on crime instead of the state orders….

 

The vote confused some business owners, but others heard it as the city saying they can reopen without worrying about consequences.

 

"We can't give them permission to violate the governor's order," said Mayor Drew Bessinger. "That being said, if they chose to, and they did it in a responsible manner, that would be something that if they were to be cited at some point, they could go before a judge and at least make a good case."

 

Council member…told Action News the governor's order is "constitutionally suspect" and enforcement will be left to the state and county, agencies like CHP which he acknowledged play little role in enforcement in Clovis.

 

He says Clovis police will only intervene for "egregious" violations the state and county refuse to enforce.

 

"Our officers have a lot to do and chasing minor issues isn't really going to be one of our priorities," said Mayor Bessinger.

 

The mayor said the numbers don't justify keeping a lid on the economy any longer.

 

"The health emergency is over," he said. "Now we have to deal with the fiscal emergency. And the only way to deal with that is to our people back to work."

 

The city lost out on the rodeo and Big Hat Days and has watched its sales tax and hotel occupancy tax revenue plummet.

 

Bessinger says he's talked to business owners who are weeks away from going under. He says you have to look at them as victims too….

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Officials in Walla Walla County are correcting and clarifying their claim that some people held parties in which they intentionally exposed themselves to the coronavirus.

 

Walla Walla County Department of Community Health Director Meghan DeBolt issued a statement late Wednesday saying her earlier

remarks were incorrect.

 

DeBolt wrote in the new statement that no parties were held with the sole intention of spreading coronavirus.

 

Instead, she tells KOMO News, health officials became aware of a social gathering where at least one person was infected with

 

COVID-19, and that most of those who attended were aware there could be people present with the virus.

 

But DeBolt says it was not a "coronavirus party" per se - it was a party in which some who attended had COVID-19 and most who attended were aware.

 

The Walla Walla County Department of Community Health also says there may be additional COVID-19 cases connected to this social gathering.

Exactly my thought. After all, a lot of vegans give their children breast milk and don't see anything wrong with it. Humans don't qualify as animals in their heads (and as far as I know neither do they in the food production regulations). Per sé, there is no law that prohibits eating humans because it is thought of as self-explanatory since the acquisition (if not consumption) of such meat would be illegal in probably every single case.
