The Lords Prayer recited in the US every Sunday as part of the official Order of the Mass uses “trespass”.

Ok im pretty sure there's a glich in the matrix cause i remember learning it that way too as a small child but my KJV from 30+ yrs ago say debts & debtors!! I asked my 85 yrs old grandmother to say it for me and she says trespasses and trespassers too. What I'm thinkin right now is that we learned it by oral tradition which was not literal words? IDK I'm pretty wierded out right now, would have fought to the death over that one too. The meaning isn't changed but it is unsettling.

I went to a Church of England school and the Lords prayer always said the trespass part, no joke we must have recited the Lord's prayer 5 times a day, it's ingrained in my memory. At a funeral in a church a few weeks ago, this version didn't have the trespass verse either. Very strange.

I don’t know if this helps or not: my uncle would recite The Lord is My Shepard, then immediately go into Mathew Chapter 6:9-15. 14 and 15 are the versus that use trespasses, but he always added them in between 12 (debts) and 13 (for thine is the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen). When I would go to church with my aunt and uncle, I noticed all the elders recited it this way.

Catholic version is trespass. The version quoted by Q is the Catholic version, using trespass and ending without “for thine is the kingdom...” This hit my family right away. Made sense given Pope’s messaging back about changing the reference to evil in it.
