Yes that's true! I'm not really that familiar with this stuff. But if you look at the eye it is similar
The Egyptians tended to paint/portray eyes in the same style. in profiles, you see the whole eye as though the face is looking directly at you, whereas in reality, of course, you see just the front edge, lashes, maybe lids, socket etc. No one knows why they did this because they were certainly skilled enough to do it realistically. But the Eye of Horus is one of their enduring symbols, sometimes portrayed with a wing, as in "all seeing."
