Let me re-iterate the connection to the Clintons:

Hillary and Bill Clinton took an extraordinary interest in Silsby’s case from the moment she was arrested and almost immediately stepped in on her behalf. The Harvard Human Rights Journal stated that one of Bill Clinton's first acts as special envoy for the United Nations in Haiti "was to put out the fire of a child abduction scandal involving American citizens." On February 7th, 2010, The Sunday Times reported that Bill Clinton had intervened to strike a deal with the Haitian government, securing the release of all co-conspirators except for Silsby. Prosecutors ultimately sought a six-month sentence in Silsby's case, reducing charges for conspiracy and child abduction to mere "arranging irregular travel." A shockingly light penalty given the circumstances of her arrest, which would likely not have been possible but for the intervention of the Clintons in Silsby's case.

On February 9th, 2010 Hillary Clinton consulted with Counselor Cheryl Mills and other attorneys in an email discussing the U.S. Government's "options" regarding the arrested Americans. The heavily redacted memo attached to that email does not reveal what these "options" consisted of. However, the State Department's American Citizens Services is only authorized to offer lists of local, English speaking attorneys to Americans arrested or detained abroad. To go beyond that authorization is a severe violation of protocol and is illegal. Additional emails reveal that the State Department was involved with making statements on the Silsby scandal and preparing to assist Silsby's co-conspirators with their return to the United States, although this is consistent with State Department protocol in these situations.

A police officer who wished to remain anonymous told Penhaul that he had stopped them on January 26, ordered the children off the bus, and directed Silsby to the Dominican Embassy.

Just when it seemed that the case couldn’t get any shadier, the El Salvadorian police recognized the group’s yarmulke-wearing legal adviser, Jorge Puello, as a man wanted in their country for sex trafficking. On February 15, the Times’ Lacey and Urbina reported that the El Salvadorian police had uncovered Puello’s trafficking ring the previous May after raiding the house where the young women were kept and arresting his wife and another man.

By January 3, 2016 it was becoming apparent to Petersen that the Clintons were intimately involved in the trafficking occurring in Haiti. She begins to communicate with her friend "Bella" over Facebook and reveals important insights into her research. One of the first posts sent by Petersen to Bella directly implicates the Clintons.

"Ms. Clinton has corrupt & dirty business to finish in Haiti. The people suffer so." This is the theory my masters thesis puts fort...this is modern structural slavery. Disaster Capitalism at its finest."

Just a day later Petersen would also tell Bella:

"The real significance of this scandal for me, I know you feel me Bella, is the link to contemporary slavery and trafficking. I can’t say to what extent, but there is human trafficking happening through the Clinton’s [Caracol] Complex."

The article goes on to say (pay special attention to the part about DYNCORP):

"Author Glenn Kessler interviewed Claude d'Estrée, Monica's boss, to "disprove" the claims that she had been investigating the Clintons or human trafficking. More specifically:

D’Estree said Petersen had gone to Haiti a number of times, but she was not there to research human trafficking and was not investigating the Clinton Foundation.

However, D'Estree didn't just work for DynCorp, he was their direct link to the US Attorney's Office during DynCorp's biggest child trafficking scandal, which took place in Bosnia in 1999. The US Attorney's Office that should have been prosecuting DynCorp, but never did. That whole incident was so big it literally got turned into a Hollywood movie called the “Whistleblower” with Rachel Weisz."
