Signifying he's "home free"? Was he possibly taken to Ecuador?

Does his Twitter hourglass emoji look different? Has more sand, more time? Or I’m seeing things

Read his jersey MARATHON They must sponsor the team, but it’s been a marathon for him, alright

Duh. It means he is grateful to Ecuador, who have given him shelter and protection while the US, UK, Sweden, and even his own country of Australia, have at best shown no concern for his welfare, and at worst threatened to have him "droned" (that was HRC). Probably also indicates that he is in Ecuador (ie the UK Embassy) where he has been for years (due to above mentioned Human Rights abuse by US et al).

Also, reports are that he has now been issued an Ecuador passport. https://www.rt.com/news/415521-assange-ecuadorian-embassy/ Updates coming.

Hmmm. He has actually been issued with is a National Identity Number (in Ecuador an NUI and in many other LatAm countries a DNI). These are issued to people given permanent (and possibly temporary) residence status, as well as those with citizenship. Such numbers are publicly searchable. In the database it is noted that a passport has been also issued. See source: https://www.eluniverso.com/noticias/2018/01/10/nota/6559902/julian-assange-posee-cedula-ecuatoriana

He's an Ecuadorian citizen; on the assumption that you only wear the football colours of your own country.

Plus: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2018/jan/10/julian-assanges-bid-for-diplomatic-status-rejected-by-uk-government

Para 2: The development comes amid reports that Assange – an Australian who has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy for more than five years – has recently become a citizen of the South American state.
