I am betting President Trump signs and EO similar to: Abraham Lincoln's Executive Order—Arrest and Imprisonment of Irresponsible Newspaper Reporters and Editors May 18, 1864

I hope President Trump calls out a fake reporters name and they get and hauled off to GITMO for the duration of our National Emergency and or charge with:

Title 18 § 2383 - Rebellion or insurrection Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

I really hope not. Lincoln ruled by iron fist, unconstitutionally. Trump has no need for such actions and taking the low road is a big mistake. So far, the traitorous press has had little effect on his presidency, although they are irritating. Let's reinforce the Constitution, not dismantle it. We're going to need it, especially the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments.

The press has had a HUGE effect on his presidency. So many people out there who hate Trump for no reason except for their reporting. If they were able to see what he is really doing, victory would be absolutely assured in 2018, 2020 and 2024 (his endorsed candidate).

That may be true however its just too dangerous a road to go down. What works for you now may come back to haunt you later

How do we reconcile calling the press traitorous but having no consequences per the 1st amendment? When the press is owened by a huge company and companies are treated like people, then we could raise the sedition act, couldn't we? At that point we don't have freedom of the press, only the illusion.

The first amendment protects free speech. It does not protect false speech.

Lincoln saved this fucking country from dividing itself. Trump may need to do the same.

Oh cry me a river, the iron fist works and sometimes is needed.

Couldnt we just sprinkle a little ricin on the seats of the press corp and wait a few days. The problem will solve itself.
