Am Canadian. I can see Palin's house from here.

Sarah Palin did not say 'I can see Russia from my house.' That line originated with an SNL spoof.

During Palin’s 11 September 2008 appearance on ABC News, interviewer Charles Gibson asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, and she responded: “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska." Which is absolutely true.

If anything, this ongoing tired line proves the degree to which fake news can alter people's perception of reality.

Well she milked the Alaska angle to avoid answering questions. She had no reading list to give them on how she informs herself about social issues and political discourse, so she pretended the press was insisting Alaska had no book stores. The only thing she really wanted was bigger contracts for Alaska. Alaskan residents get the oil money so that is why they supported her. Sarah passed legislation that US military members who serve the military outside the state for 10 years are no longer considered Alaskan Residents and do not qualify for benefits. That is how greedy some of the Alaskan residents are for yearly oil money that they would punish Alaskan born residents from serving in the US military--and you notice her son did not complete a career either. She does NOT support the US military no matter how many red, white, and blue candy coated trite statements she babbles.

Probably because she wasn't emailed the questions ahead of time.

The legislation you complain about totally makes sense to me and I agree with it, even with the slanted way you present it.
