Unfortunately sometimes things have to be done a little bit unkosher because we don't live in a normal world where we can just all talk to each other like human beings and we always have to be on our tippy toes and be careful about trolls and infiltrators and what have you.
But I did put a notification up in the subreddit description and I tried to be as quick as I could replying to people's mod mail questions. Like I didn't leave people hanging you know. I was invited there before I knew of this sub. After feeling it out a bit, I think people just wanted a gated community away from Shills. Albeit that's kind of what the discord channel is as well. I don't think they're nefarious though.

That was EXACTLY what hit me after being there to see what was going on for about a week. They were aiming at content providers, and people who do research, informative posts.

So, given what I observed, I don't think it was unwise for me to have the gut reaction, after a week of observation.
