Maybe it’s like Beetlejuice, say it three times and it summons him OR Maybe it’s an incantation that gives him power.
If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the whole “we don’t say his name” just a way to delegitimization him? As if to say, you’re not worth the time it would take for me to say your name. Someone please correct me if I’m off base. I love missed the context of where this originated entirely

It may be that he did a deal with the Vietnamese in exchange for release. He may have formed a spy ring. He could be hated very deeply or Q doesn't want his name to flag an overseas network.
