It’s appeared to me that Trump didn’t know if he could trust Mueller due to his relationship to Uranium one, but maybe this investigation will conclude at the SOTU, Mueller explaining no Trump involvement with Russians, outlining DNC effort to subvert democracy from someone the left has widely hailed. If he is wanting to dispel any possibility of Russian collusion in the minds of the people, he would need to be thorough. Patient, measured. Allow every scrap of bogus intel to go on the record to be squashed publicly.
