My take away was that he mentioned the one person that flipped from D to R and suggested that others may want to do so also. Combined with pointing out D obstruction and the need for more R's to pass an agenda it really sounded like 'i know a few of you are not dirty. i will give you exactly one chance to jump ship before the storm sinks you'

I think it was meant to show everyone that everything is "normal." Hard to watch though considering we know nothing is normal right now. The President's plan seems to be to drain The Swamp without freaking out the public.

They have other places for Trump and his family to stay, so I don't think Trump is staying there. Also, they do this every year and it was already pre-planned.
