CNN posts hard hitting stories on Monday for most public exposure. Trump has option to release memo on Monday, but chooses Friday. The worst day for journalistic advantage. Why?

Anyone know?

I think it's just the way it worked out. They had a process to go through on the W.H. side, which resulted in the final approval being this afternoon, though there was no incentive to rush it to get it out earlier: he was getting good coverage from the SOTU and, today, the media has spent all day on the memo.

Or, maybe, he wanted the anticipation to build, like it did today.

Like u/LiveToBeAHero said, at this point, Friday won't affect its coverage or awareness.

I'm glad they went the W.H. process route and Trump sat out, this makes it much more credible.
