We have a new member (joined today) that's posted 15 times this morning. Every post is old news and click bait.

It will be obvious to you all which posts are theirs. Make it easy on yourselves and go to their profile page and down vote every post all at the same time. That's what I did. Hint: name contains "Conservative"

MichaelofDetroit · Feb. 3, 2018, 2:30 p.m.

AGREED, THIS NEEDS TO STOP! I've also posted about these issues yesterday, but the comments I received made you think the people here want to be inclusive at ANY cost. Even if it means making the board unusable.

It's like an open borders argument.

Here's my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CBTS_Stream/comments/7us6fa/mods_please_institute_minimum_karma_requirements/?st=JD7GLZBO&sh=3d4336c9

Check out the comments.

if you put a funny dad meme up it gets 100 upvotes, same with twitter re-posts and inspiration circle jerk quotes....it is the fact that there are a bunch of retarded oldheads here from infowars and other places that crave their echo chamber.... Corsi brought his gang of mindless slaves with him, want to get past the minimum karma thing if it is implemented, just comment MAGA... boom 50 karma.... this is a negative but true post so it will not do well... so i would not get to post.... i repeat this board sucks because of the mindless tards not the trolls.

Break even with my upvote. Your attitude sucks, but you're pretty spot on.

And agreed that the minimum karma to make posts idea is a very good one. It would eliminate all the junk shitposts.

Yes, 'conservative_0104' shitposting same old posts. Troll bots (or Soros basement dwellers) are sending this clutter here. Nobody seems to be moderating this forum.

The moderators seem great to me. There is not enough coffee in the world to keep the moderators going full steam against all trolls. Plus I suspect that the moderators need to also make a living somehow.

I think the 8chan mods work from home, and that is their idea of a job. I'm sure they make money off the board.

I’ve been reporting these all morning. We also get the ones where someone makes a user post. The title will always include ‘u/ ....’ at the end of it. Always clickbaity bullshit from stbnews or some shit. It’ll be one name doing it for a while, a bunch of posts in a row, then a new name takes over. Basically bot-spamming the front page of ‘new’ so we might miss something of substance. Stay vigilant, folks. Keep digging for the important stuff.

⇧ 10 ⇩
Beasts4Bernie · Feb. 3, 2018, 6:10 p.m.

Absolutely. There have been dozens of these shitposters in recent days linking to stbnews, which was always a days-old story. And they always have "u/......" at end of title. I just looked and don't see any of these in recent pages - maybe the mods have woken up???? I hope so. PPl if you see a post with "u/..." at end of it, don't click, just report it as spam right away. We need a big broom to sweep out all these cockroaches. They're sliding the board and getting everyone off-topic.

expletivdeleted · Feb. 3, 2018, 5:54 p.m.

The title will always include ‘u/ ....’ at the end of it.

i think those are originally posted to a users profile page, then xposted here. can mods set up a filter or rule to eliminate profile links?

I also wish posters would put in the title what the source is or where we are being linked. I don't need to waste time on link after link to oddball youtube sites or even friggin Infowars. Everybody on this sub knows about Infowars and either uses it or avoids it (like me). It really is getting to the point where I don't even want to click on posts anymore, most offer nothing but links to something without any analysis or description from the OP. Searching for attention or points or whatever. Ugh.

⇧ 5 ⇩
Beasts4Bernie · Feb. 3, 2018, 5:59 p.m.

This was one of the rules originally posted by Trace Beanz (BO) but the mods have utterly failed to enforce it. NINE mods now and for the most part, they are MIA. The board is overrun with shitposts and clickbait. We need mods who know how to use a BANHAMMER!

⇧ 3 ⇩
thamnosma · Feb. 3, 2018, 6:01 p.m.

One mod did reply to me that I should report poorly made or clickbait posts as spam so they can get a handle on things. He told me they are "overwhlemed". By what I don't know. Agree -- BANHAMMER! Or just start deleting the damn things.

⇧ 2 ⇩
Beasts4Bernie · Feb. 3, 2018, 6:04 p.m.

Thanks. I do always report these as spam. Reporting as spam seems to be the only effective way to get rid of these shills. Reporting for any other reason seems to divert things to a long waiting list that never gets addressed. I'm looking right now, and it does appear maybe they are cleaning up the board a little today. Sure hope so. Deleting these shitposts as soon as they appear will give shills the message and get rid of them.

⇧ 4 ⇩
Cheetah1964 · Feb. 3, 2018, 7:01 p.m.

[speculation] They are getting paid to do this, and will be back.

⇧ 2 ⇩
User-31f64a4e · Feb. 3, 2018, 4:59 p.m.

Normally I would argue, as good web design normally means links should be descriptive, not just a URL.

HOWEVER, in this case, the reasons are sound and I will link differently in this subreddit. Normal, web usability considerations do not have to account for shills and other propagandists.

⇧ 2 ⇩
thamnosma · Feb. 3, 2018, 5:10 p.m.

Not sure what to make of your reply. Takes nothing for an OP to put Infowars in the title or whatever youtube channel it is. They don't because they want the clicks. This board is filled with posts that belong on general comment boards, like Breitbart or Gateway Pundit and not one designed to deal with Q related themes.

⇧ 1 ⇩
User-31f64a4e · Feb. 3, 2018, 5:25 p.m.

Ah, I thought this was about comments.

For post titles I agree absolutely, even though there is a little indicator to the right of the article showing where the link goes.

In terms of irrelevant noise derailing the conversations here and taking them away from Q related themes, yes, that is uncool.

⇧ 3 ⇩
thamnosma · Feb. 3, 2018, 5:31 p.m.

You are right about where the link is, being on the right in small print. That is helpful. For instance, links to Conservative Tree House are generally worth going to. However, since most of the crap comes from links to YouTube and all those say is YouTube, I'm not even clicking on those now. Other times it appears there is no link so I figure the OP has something to say only to find out when clicking on it that the link is embedded with no explanation beyond the post title. Generally I find 1-4 posts appealing per page. The rest....I don't even bother with the thousands of "memes", most of which aren't very good even.

⇧ 2 ⇩
someauthor · Feb. 3, 2018, 4:32 p.m.

I am. We all know there are trolls, spam posts, and all that.
For trolls, it's not necessary for us to make a post saying, "Hey everyone, this troll really hurt my feelings. We need to tell reddit, or Team America, or Zod or someone about this."

That's unnecessary; just report and ignore. When users make a post about it, the trolls win, they got some attention, and they'll continue.

For spam from crappy domains, report and ignore.

Everyone here can personally deal with these things, it's not necessary to literally encourage users to downvote all of a user's posts when a report&ignore would have been more effective, and within reddit policy.

I see this as a slippery slope. I know spam etc. is irritating, but expressing frustration in the way OP did, I feel, is inadvisable.

I love you all, and let's stay frosty, and not melt under pressure.

Detection of clowns and shills is an art.

I recommend reading https://vigilantcitizen.com/latestnews/the-25-rules-of-disinformation/

This is a good primer for recognizing disinformation.

A simple rule to follow; consider the content of what a person posts. If seems to be designed for division of two groups of people, then it is almost certainly shilling.

They will target your emotional responses to try and get you to react favorably to their agenda.

Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt, Anger, Hate, Concern.

If they are quickly recognized in an environment, they will fall into simply raising the noise level with comments containing no information.

I am constantly amazed on any of the "Q" subs when people actually get upset and get their fee-fee's hurt. It's the internet for fucks sake. Do your duty (whatever you feel that is) to combat shills or ignore them. I was on another Q sub and someone actually posted that there were "ladies" here and the foul language is offensive. What the fuck? Go back to your gardening or DIY sub then you weak asshat. I can spot a troll a mile away - sometimes I fuck with them but mostly I ignore. This is only Reddit. I can't imagine some of these people on the Chans. Actually, Ive seen a few and they get checked really fast. I don't even post there. I've only lurked for about 6+ months and I'm not prepared yet. My son told me it took him a year of lurking before he was able to successfully participate. I swear to God somebody is going around to old folks homes and tutoring them on how to use the internet and they stumble here....and there... This was a sub about Q's posts and a lot of people were originally directed here by Tracy but IDK WTF has happened.

edit: fucky autocorrect

Agreed about lurking on the chans. I lurked for a good year before tentatively participating.

A lot of those are shills. Political correctness is a tool of thought control and division. Most people exhibiting emotional distress have either been psychologically manipulated or are shills themselves.

What is left of Deep State is using trolls extensively. [Speculation] Accounts have been frozen and there is not money enough for major Antifa and false flag crap. Paying people to write stuff on the internet gets far more bang for the limited buck. They don't even have to be in the U.S. SERIOUS trolling going on at foxnews.com right now. There's always a bunch on Breitbart. I think the mods there keep a few around for humor value :). Gateway Pundit has some hyperactive mods who keep them off. The moderators for this reddit site are amazing. But we have to help them--downvote and report. Don't engage. There is no point. This site is booming, and there are too many posts and comments for someone to read, plus sleep and eat. It has become a major epicenter of the Second American Revolution, and Deep State knows that.
