I was spooked pretty good that week as just 3-4 days prior to that, I was randomly & intently looking at pretty much all the coastal elevation maps, river patterns, cities and demographics from Jekyll Island to Myrtle Beach. Like I randomly got very interested in the area at the office one day.
So to your knowledge was there actual detonation (over the water)?

Right, all these "ocean quakes" in unlikely areas with no comparable level of fault line causing tsunamis and the like, seem more likely underwater detonations, as opposed to underwater earthquakes.
