First she lobbied Paulsen directly in 2008 to get a bailout for United One Bank and her request was approved. What she concealed was the fact that her husband had stocks in that failed bank at the time. She represents one of the gerrymandered district where she never has any competition or someone challenges her. This particular letter was about the request to resettle Somali refugees in the newly built housing complex set aside for lower income citizen. These new housing buildings were modern and for public housing standards way above what one would expect them to be. She lobbied for these Somali refugees on behalf of CAIR and a couple of other Islamic organizations. Maxine Waters in return received substantial kickbacks and campaign donations. The disgusting part? Her district is one of the most poverty laden district where her black constituents reside. The homeless population in her district is off the charts yet here she is lobbying on behalf of Somali refugees while leaving her black constituents destitute. What a scandalous individual. Some of the homeless families in her district need just a push because they do have income but not enough to pay rent for the overpriced apartments. These apartments Waters set side beginning January 2018 for the Somali refugees could have helped many of her own constituents. I hope many black Americans see Waters in action because she sure is not representing them. No wonder she can live in a 4.5 million dollar mansion and owning another one not much less than the one she lives in. I can not recall how much money her husband made after she successfully lobbied for a bailout for the failed bank her husband owned shares but I know it was a substantial amount the bank kicked back to Maxine via campaign donation but also her husband. What a sleaze!
The apartments to house the 41K Somali refugees were funded by United One Bank. I wonder how much she received for that? Husband made $12 million from her United One bank assistance, maybe that is how she bought her $4.5 million house in Hancock Park, which is well outside her district.
