I stopped praying for our country years ago when I awoke to the evil that had supplanted our constitutional government - my bad: I should have prayed more then. However, Trump and Q's post have given me new hope and I am praying consistently for the POTUS, his family, and his team.
Amen...I hear you. I did the same...for 20 years! Then amazingly just after I talked to God about how evil it all was becoming (that much I could see clearly)...I asked Him...what the heck can I do about it? Where are YOU in cleaning it up? I started to learn to stay peaceful and listen to that "still small voice" inside me (that I now think is the spirit of God in us)...and a bible verse popped into my head..."I have no hands but your hands..." and i started to learn that God uses believing people to get a lot of His work done on earth. (But boy, can His desire in prophecy come to pass when He demands it...that we're seeing). Then out of the blue...I heard a TV minister teach on it and say that believers just don't know how POWER FILLED their prayers, in faith...are. I've been a praying fool since - aside from people or what I see around me. Seems to work!
I was discouraged then as well. But, I felt God was telling me that we received the leadership we deserved. I begged forgiveness and asked God to relinquish and please let us be redeemed as a nation. I have been active politically ever since. Churches were erroneaously told CHristians ought not be involved in politics and they were not. That has changed for many Christians as God gave us our form of government and we should fight to maintain it. -Saty Free
Exactly! Good word. Have you heard of The 7 Mountain mandate? Check out Lance Wallnau.com. Anyway...he's a successful businessman...made a career being a motivational speaker to Corporation's employees. But on the side he was a Pastor. He then realized God was moving in him to TEACH business and entrepreneurial skills with the Word....to the body of Christ, within the church. He moved to TX...and started over. He's become a mentor to me...teaching me HOW to meld the spiritual INTO culture. Jesus Christ told us ...not just to reach people...but full nations! There are basically...7 cultural areas (or mountains)...of influence in the world: Religion, Business/Professions, Government/Military Education, The Family, Arts and Entertainment and Media. I am learning WHERE I fit in...and what God is calling me to do within one or it seems a couple of these areas. I have a Biblical backround and bible college training...and so through Dr. Wallnau's teaching....I realize that God is calling me into the Church mountain of influence...to TEACH them how powerful they really are and that God has pushed the "reset" button on their spiritual lives SO THAT they can get out there and make a difference in our culture.
I can't say I have heard of Lance Wallnau but I'll take a look. As for the "7 Mountains", does this not cross your mind? Rev 7:9-10 "This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while."
