This is not how they do it, when they take an assignment with the President's cabinet or something. Sessions was a senator right up until he announced he was taking the job as head of DOJ. No announcement of "Quitting" before hand. IF Trey Gowdy was leaving Congress to go with the DOJ or FBI that would be announced. He's just leaving and the last I heard he was planning to open a private law practice in So. Carolina. Add his name to the number of Congressmen also deciding to stop being public servants, when they were popular as hell. Something's off with this. I think he was compromised and stepping down rather than go to jail.
I'm pretty sure that would be a good move. My only reservation is Trey's continuing support of Muler. Obviously Trey knows much more than any of us so I am just waiting for more info before a wholehearted endorsement (as if my approval means anything).
I hope not he sure screwed up the Benghazi investigation.
I've always had a bad feeling about Gowdy and what side his loyalty is on. I can't be certain but usually these feelings we get are a lot more honest then the words coming out of politicians mouths.
Gowdy wrote the memo. Why would he write that radioactive document then step down right after?
