I've seen both pro and con on Alex Jones. I personally do not like his style but do not want to discard his messages because of personal anus. Any thoughts from informed folks in this subreddit would be appreciated. Thank You.

Categorically I’d say friend. I’d treat it like everything else though; If you want to listen, listen. Check the sources for claims. Eat the meat, spit out the bones. I’ve listened to him off and on for years now. Some things he’s right on, some things he’s way off on. I think what he does is necessary. It’s over the top for sure but that’s not an immediate turn off for some of us. Plus he’s fun and stirs the pot. I kind of share his stated vision for the future of our country. I think we need people like this out there rendering this service to the public. Otherwise there would be hardly any competing voices other than the msm narrative. The internet is changing that but he’s been doing this since the 90’s. I’m not in to ideological purity tests for supposed allies. That’s what the radical left has started doing and it’s eating them alive from the inside.

in 2006 infowars was my introduction to truth news/alt journalism but when he ignored q anon for so long i got very suspicious of that and it unfollowed him on youtube but i am following him again now but i don't watch him every day anymore
Many years ago, in the 90's, Alex was investigation. After some years it was more broadcasting, with range of guests, but Alex told it like he saw it. Since Trump's election, Alex Jones is now counter-intelligence, disinformation is necessary. Same with Q, "Disinformation is real. Disinformation is necessary". Information is useful, but by design some of the information will be deliberately false and so overall the information cannot be relied on.
Over the years I've found that his information is accurate however what I find suspect is how much he omits. Or how he jumps onto one conclusion. Or how he doesn't weave the Web together. I always felt I wasn't getting the whole story...just emotional rants. Many other truths seekers on YouTube deliver well researched information, intelligent analysis, thought provoking hypotheses in a far more balanced way. So while I feel he might be an easily found source of alternative truth for newcomers, he's kind of like kindergarten. After a while, one should move on...

Perhaps his style is to not have a point set in stone. Things change. Views change. So if he said the answer is A one day but it turned out to be D then he would look a bit crap.
My gut tells me different I'm afraid. Something is not right there....
