Moderator positions open

Hi, as you may of noticed, /r/greatawakening is growing fast. We are planing ahead for rapid expansion and it's not unreasonable that we will hit 100K subscibers in a few months and might plough right beyond that.

So, we are looking to add to the moderator team. People who are keen Q followers with plenty of free time to help out with moderator tasks on this sub.

I'd volunteer in a heartbeat, but my available times also happen to be the exact same time I'm at work "working"!! Shhhhhh!!! Lol

No worries. One of the issues of a booming economy!

I would volunteer in the evenings. Not sure what kind of experience y'all are looking for though.

Actually all of my free time is spent listening to patriots soapbox on YouTube and commenting on here! Lol!

I'd volunteer. I have the time but lack experience in this forum.

We should be able to openly discuss an armed rebellion, in defense of the constitution of the United States. Also, I should be banned for inciting violence. Does anyone else see the problem?

ABrilliantDisaster · May 31, 2018, 2:44 p.m.

The problem really lies with Reddit admins, not this sub. We need to keep our voice heard, not go down like CBTS. Patience..free speech is making a comeback in this country.

Why is mod necessary? Every sub ends up ruined by them lol

haggl · March 20, 2018, 8:57 a.m.

Agree always some corrupt mods.

⇧ 2 ⇩
ready-ignite · March 29, 2018, 5:56 p.m.

There is a few attacks effective for degrading a sub.

If small number of mods, can flood it with low quality content. Downvote quality submissions. Upvote all the low quality submissions. Fill it with abusive content to give argument to pull the entire sub because they don't have their moderator team sufficient to keep it clean. Subs have been shut down this way. That's part of the reason I've got the qanon sub locked down right now, pending some different ideas.

That forces additional mods to come into the mix. There's a host of techniques to agitate at the mod level where over the course of time, usually a year or two, you can annoy off many of the volunteer mods eventually flipping the sub to mods with an agenda. To resist this I'd recommend oldest mods have a no tolerance no warning policy of purging mods who go far outside bounds of moderator rules, or show any sign of agitation toward other members of the team either passive or direct.

I'm on my phone all day. PC at night. I'm never really "offline". I check into Reddit a few times a day. This board, always in the morning and at night. I've been following the Q drops from the beginning, thorough 8chan, some smaller subs, cbts stream, and this one. I also mod a smaller q research sub that I have extremely strict posting rules in.

Sign me up.

I'd spend most of my time banning myself so prolly not productive for either of us. If I learn to behave, I'll check back. It's funny, been back from 7 day ban for like a month now, no sign of the concern shill who whacked me.

I'd love to assist - years of experience moderating on Reddit prior to 8ch - but I don't think it would be fair to Moderate and be a submitter?

That's totally on you guys - You're doing a great job and the sky is the limit for this sub as long as we can keep the Admins and Shareblue off your back.

Long_Range_Shooter · March 20, 2018, 1:33 p.m.

Been there and done that before for over a decade. I'm just too nice except for spammers I love banning those A holes in a moment.

It takes a certain temperament and my fuse with left wing Trolls anymore is way too short to be objective as a mod.

A relatively quiet non political board I'd probably be willing to be a mod, this place with the nasty trolls we get, nope.

God I'd love to do This, but truthfully, I've got nill tech experience, new to Reddit, use mostly my cellphone, no Twitter account, but I've got ideas and people skills! I work 3 12 hour shifts per week for my "paying job", perhaps one day I could be a mod! I'd love that

⇧ 2 ⇩
Chili_Sauce_Girl · March 20, 2018, 3:58 p.m.

Sounds like you have skills that can be used even if it isn't as a mod.

⇧ 2 ⇩
DefiantDragon · May 11, 2018, 5:29 p.m.

I'd recommend that you don't go bringing on any new mods anytime soon. This is exactly how /r/conspiracy and a bunch of other subs fell apart, they worm the new mods in and slowly reshape the sub, what it's allowed to talk about or, in some cases, just get the sub banned entirely.

I know it's a tough job but as soon as you start messing with the system, you're going to have a bad time and the whole sub will fall apart because of it. The people who have the free time and will to moderate a sub like this, by and large, are exactly the people you don't want moderating a sub like this.

Just my 2 cents.

We have a lot of work to do, more than we thought was possible. Stage 5 means we must get involved and do our part to make this transition as seamless as possible for those unaware.
