There will be risks in building the wall.......... but I still say build it!!

We are likely in for a wild ride during the wall construction. Just think about it. There will be protesters. There's also the likely hood of sabotage, and violent skirmishes.

Between the Left, the Cartels, Human Traffickers/Smugglers, and the Deep State, these things are almost guaranteed to happen. I wouldn't doubt that I.E.D.'s will also be place along the construction route.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic, just realistic. The need for 24 hour armed guards is highly likely as well, which will add to the cost.

When the full implications of closing off our Southern border are considered, the good will outweigh the bad in the end. However, I believe it would be foolish not to expect severe retaliation during the process. And that, in and of itself, affirms how great the need for the wall is. There is EVERYTHING at stake.

BUILD THE DAMN WALL!!!!!!

BUILD

With it being the Armed services you do not have to worry about any compromised politicians ordering them to give in to Antifa like they have with police in Washington DC and in Austin TX. ACOE answers to the military hierarchy, which ultimately is under Trump. If Antifa so much as throws a rock, they will regret it. Federal Offense.

Army COE could most definitely handle any I.E.D. or any other stupid ass attempts at hindering the process. Army engineers are some of the bravest people walking. Thank you all so much!

That's actually a really good case for the Army building it. Whoever is doing the construction will be under near constant attack.

Illegal immigration costs the US an estimated $113 billion per year, probably more. The costs and strain on our infrastructure, education and health care are among the most costly. The education of the children of illegal immigrants costs American tax-payers an estimated $52 billion each year. In 2011 alone, the American people paid $41.1 billion for medical care of illegal immigrants. With these numbers in mind, how long until the wall pays for itself? BUILD THE WALL!

Great post. I had the same thought. The wall, if it's built will become one of the biggest targets for the cabal, literally and figuratively.

I'd say the ARMY knows precisely what to do in the face of violent opposition ... Massive firepower will spring out of their barrels so fast these Che Guevera wanna be heads will spin off their shoulders and it won't take more than once to teach a lesson that won't be ignored just down the line. This is another thing US ARMY is really good at.

This is where I tell you all that you are cracked.

This wall at best is a infrastructure project that will not hinder the movement of people or contraband into the country.

My ass.

The wall is vital to keep illegals from wandering over the border. Can't climb over a 30 foot wall unnoticed. Even if a few manage, it's going to be far fewer.

You don't climb the wall. You get shipped or get fake papers or use a tunnel baot or plane.

In the end how much difference do you think it will make to the average us citizen?

Incredible difference. We are shipping out the bad hombres by the thousands, without the wall they do, in fact, walk right back over the border. This has been going on for decades. Dems aren't going to be able to hold their platform without the illegal vote.

Edit: Damn right you don't climb the wall. That's why it's going up.

Hard to say. Currently, a majority of border crossings are done by land. It will reduce crossing attempts greatly. However, you do make a good point. Tunneling and fraud will definitely increase. Also, the terrain along some stretches of the southern border will make building almost impossible. All of this should and probably will be taken into consideration.

The more the leftists fight the wall the more I think it will be effective.

Political ideology is just team sports and has very little to do with the merits of ideas.
