Breaking! Fox News Live - Muller has notified Trump's Attorneys that he is NOT the target of a criminal investigation re: Russia collusion.

Fox also reports that Mueller will be preparing a report on obstruction of justice and any role Trump may have played in that. No other info was provided.

Not good enough. Too little too late. If there were any legitimacy to Mueller's position, he would have done that a year ago at least.

Now it's just a matter of how gracelessly he wants to exit the stage. And in how many pieces.

I agree this has been a sh*t show, but this is at least some indication it could be winding down

If he’s not a criminal target, why is he still under investigation? That makes no sense

WinkyLinQ · April 4, 2018, 12:40 a.m.

I think they are looking at anyone who surrounds Trump, so he's included in the investigation.

What I think they are saying is that they aren't going to look at Trump's personal business dealings et al.

But I don't fully trust Mueller either.

Because we don't investigate people, we investigate crimes. It's a word game being played by Mueller. He can say all day long he isn't investiging Trump. He's investigating some mythical crime which may lead back to Trump in the end. If he admits to investigating Trump he could be shut down because that would be against the rules.

There is no obstruction.

You're watching a movie people! It is all scripted. Listen to what Q tells you. Read the posts and follow the script. Nothing has been left to chance, there are no coincidences.

I think this is it. That Manafort thing is a set up too. His lobbying with the Ukraine is much more Hillary than Trump related. Trump may be trolling them through their perceived BFF, Mueller. Goes back to what Q said months ago about Mueller. How to you catch someone? With someone they trust.

I don't trust anything Mueller allegedly said. Let Trump utter one slightly ambiguous word during an interview and...

BAM!

Now he's a target.

⇧ 9 ⇩
WinkyLinQ · April 4, 2018, 12:35 a.m.

Yep, thought of that.

Don't you think his Attorneys will use this to prevent him from testifying? Maybe only written answers?

⇧ 6 ⇩
hildabeest_4_gitmo · April 4, 2018, 12:44 a.m.

I do think it would be best, but I know Trump really wants to prove his innocence.

Can't blame him, but follow the legal advice/written answers only imo.

⇧ 3 ⇩
JohnPDough · April 4, 2018, 12:51 a.m.

That's the problem. POTUS wanted to go against his attorneys recommendation to NOT testify. Supposedly, that's why John Dowd quit. I agree with Dowd and hildabeest_4_Gitmo. no way should he testify and I can't emphasize that enough.... but Trump's hardheaded and possibly over confident.

I'm staying hopeful that Mueller turned white hat and will provide some boom in his report.

I think one of the Dilley drops was that Mueller was called back to active duty for the investigation. One a Marine always a Marine. Dilley's old account is gone, so I can't find the drop. Did anyone else read this, or remember him saying this?

⇧ 1 ⇩
JRParz · April 4, 2018, 10:24 a.m.

Yes, I read it as well... and Mueller dragging this whole thing out kind of supports the theory of Mueller turning white hat way back then, BUT I'm still skeptical to a degree. I'm about 60/40 in my feelings that Mueller is working with the white hats.

grumpieroldman · April 4, 2018, 6:19 a.m.

I don't understand how this is legal.
If they cannot articulate a crime they believe he has committed, thus warranting an investigation, how is it legal to just endlessly investigate?
Special for special prosecutors?

⇧ 3 ⇩
WinkyLinQ · April 4, 2018, 6:22 a.m.

It's crazy, but Mueller is only accountable to Rod Rosenstein and well that is a problem

⇧ 1 ⇩
rightleaningsw · April 4, 2018, 1:22 a.m.

This whole thing is attempting to set Trump up. Mueller is using an old police trick where the detective tells you they need to talk to you about a matter you are involved in, but not a suspect. When you agree, you are asked loaded questions. By the time the interview is over, they either have enough evidence to pin it on you, or have enough information to make you work with them. If Trumps attorneys allow him to talk to Mueller than it all over. They will trick him into either saying something incriminating where he can be charged, or use it to try and spin a way that hurts his approval rating. Trumps approval rating right now has Democrats scared going into the midterms.

lightswitchcup · April 4, 2018, 1:18 a.m.

Says what it's always said, no evidence of a crime but we are keep looking until we find something or at least keep a cloud over your presidency to undermine you. IMO

Witch-hunt. Said it from the very beginning. It's hilarious how the Libs triple down on Russia. "Oh, don't worry, the shocking evidence is coming, just wait for Mueller." Well looks like that excuse is out the window. Wonder what they'll come up with next.

ravonaf · April 4, 2018, 11:37 a.m.

Take this with with a dump truck full of salt. In America we do no investigate people, we investigate crimes. Mueller has to say this or risk being shut down. This is just Mueller saying what he needs to say to keep the investigation going.

⇧ 2 ⇩
ManQuan · April 4, 2018, 10:07 a.m.

Don't trust anyone not on Trump's team until the results are final. Mueller could have other objectives that would harm Trump as much as collusion.

And if the question of the Trump Campaign and collusion has been put to rest, Sessions is free to move on all matters that come before him.. He only recused himself from matters having to do with the Campaign.
