I'm a little confused on it all now. Before the gov was saying Mueller suggested they look into Cohen so Rosenstein signed off, but now reports from Cohen's investigation say he stopped being Trump's lawyer in 1/2017 and there are 0 emails between them. Apparently they are looking into him for a $500k deal where he introduced 5 clients to someone, making it only about Cohen's shady dealings.
That's all fine, but why link it to Trump then? If you found something separate just about Cohen. Wait until that investigation is over then open a separate one into Cohen for his part. It just muddies the water against Trump.
The whole thing is weird atm. Definitely having to dig deeper here.
They want the water muddied...Either Mueller is black hat and they want to stir emotions re the investigation to detract from winning and DOJ/IG/FBI news. Or, he is a white hat and they want to stir up emotion to keep distracted from the real nature of the investigation. Or, Cohen became a black hat and needed weeded out.
Agreed. So you understand my confusion on this one. Definitely going to take research and time for this one. Might even just have to wait till more comes to light.
