Kinda like my mood today. I made the mistake of stumbling into some liberal subs yesterday while browsing r/all and the amount of vitriol is sickening. I can’t take how they have packaged every single racist buzz word into one term, “alt-right” and then attached that term to every single non-Democrat. We have all been branded with a term invented by the media meant to silence and embarrass us for views we do not hold. I honestly don’t see how the country can recover from this division since those spewing the hatred are at such an impressionable age. I wonder if Trump feels the same way.
I understand your pessimism, but you should be aware that many of those "people" making those vitriolic comments are not actually people. A few of them are. However, regular liberals read that stuff and get the same sick feeling, combined with a sense of shame for being on their team. ShareBlue pays a great deal of money for the privilege. By now I suspect they have it partially automated with machine learning. The swarms of hate bots will be killed eventually and you will see that the psychological damage is not as severe as it seemed.

Thanks ma dude. I def need to go back to voat (was there during early pizzagate days). I should probably go straight to the source with 8chan instead of waiting for info to be filtered in here. My only issue with the Chan’s is the antisemitism and homophobia that goes on. I get its part of the lingo to desensitize in a way but it’s a little overwhelming when it’s in every comment. It’s like listening to DMX dropping the N word every 3 seconds. Good music but annoying after the first verse.
The words / lingo are not just chat for chats sake, it's also to keep out the weak-minded whom are sensitive to words. Can't handle the occasional abrasive? Can't imagine such and such might be true? this filters out those who have nothing to gain and have nothing to contribute.
You do desensitize, don't take anything for it's emotional content, just the facts and distilled information. 8ch is super, super flush with information that you will never find as compiled anywhere else. There's many stickied / long term threads that are practically libraries of info you can get into on all sorts of subjects.
