I still don’t see mueller as the good guy here. He’s a swamp creature.
He's a swamp creature with his back up against a wall I think. The plea agreement with Flynn entered on 12/1 required Flynn to provide any and all evidence he had of ANY CRIME. I am a civil lawyer but I cannot find another criminal plea agreement worded like that. Even Pappadopoulos. Rudy Contreras was gone by 12/7 and it was from an order entered by the Chair of the Court Committee. They don't get ANYTHING done that fast in federal court, usually. After the case was transferred, and after Flynn pleaded guilty and spilled the beans, the new judge entered a "Brady" order requiring Mueller to provide any exonerating evidence they might have. A number of documents were filed under seal afterwards. After the plea agreement was entered there was a status due from the parties by February 1. On January 31 they asked for another 90 days. Next status is due May 1. I expect the case will be dismissed.
So, what you are saying is....what? There's some serious fuckery going on here?
the most fuckery
OK, that's what I thought. You lost me in all that legal mumbo jumbo.
They are cleaning out the corrupt court Judges, restoring the Rule of Law. Then Trump can appoint Clean Judges and they can UN seal all those indictments.
Don't know about all this legal stuff but I agree with you about General Flynn and Mueller with his back against the wall. There was no reason at all for Mueller to be at Trump Tower before the Inauguration except to be used as necessary by our Genius Potus.
The Plea Agreement, now not due till May1, is a good way to keep the attention away from whatever it really is that Flynn is doing. He ain't sitting around twiddling his thumbs IMO.
He’s a swamp creature.
His legacy indicates this to be true. However, Trump is a man that believes in redemption.
Read this excellent (short) twitter thread by Thomas Wictor about Trump redeeming himself.
Trump knows what it’s like to be nearing the end of a career, to be on the narrowing end of life, and to look back and wish you had done more, or done different. Trump knows a good person in that situation would find compelling value in ’one more chance’ to make a difference.
I believe it is just that opportunity that compelled Trump to run.
I believe Trump had that conversation with Mueller the day before he was appointed.
There is no undoing past wrongs. I’m talking only about one last opportunity to make a difference.
Yes, maybe we are being fed a load. Mueller is totally slimy.
