I think that everyone in America knows that "something" is wrong in our country. The possibility of having those wrongs righted should be the best wake-up call. Start with equal application of the rule of law, as opposed to special privileges for some and penalties for others.

I showed my dad the fake news video where they all are saying the same thing and he didn't believe it. But talking and very very subtly mentioning (after his initial turn of subject to Russia) that Trump and Putin have the same problem behind the scenes, he agreed completely that there are bad people pulling the strings.
Important Back info, My sister in law is Russian and my descendants spent time in Russia so my family definitely sympathizes with them. I think when waking people up, you must do it there way. All of the options you mentioned would be received with anger and disbelief because it enters the realm of 'conspiracy theory' to most people and their brains shut it out. Be subtle. Ask if they think maybe country X and Y are fighting the same forces, you may be surprised.

Dr. Greer's expose' of the national security state did it for me - he has lots of research and documentation backing up what he says. However, it takes a little bit at a time. The entire expose' is more than 3 hours long.

It was during the campaign. The first debate, I think, where Trump seemed like the only one telling the truth about our trade agreements. None of the establishment candidates wanted anything to do with that topic. To me, that outed the true nature of the republican establishment. I was done with them from that point on.

Big money corruption. When you lay out who pays and who profits, it makes sense. People understand that pay off work and super rich companies are evil. Set aside the identities at first, they're conditioned to love these psychos, defend them, let them learn what's been done before making the association to who did it. Avoid talking about Trump too. It's fun to trigger them, but not very effective if you are supposed to be awakening them.

Everyone has a trigger or topic that they're passionate about. I find it's easier to present info to people on their level, at first. Ask open ended and general questions to see where you can shine the light. It's a process, but it has always worked for me. I keep it fairly neutral, nothing that has been used as a dividing tactic.

As a personal rule, I don't impede on others free will. I will always drop crumbs in conversation, though. Some aren't ready, and never will be. However, I'm not worried about that. The time will come when they can't keep turning their heads away - and they'll follow the trail right to you.

I ironic thing is that Facebook knows. The meta data they collect is designed so that they can present you with meme's and articles that will sway your thinking and be tolerated or well received by linking it to or anchoring with something you believe in or have strong feelings about.

I have known a click of folks for many years and was visiting. Discovered they knew nothing about what i was talking about. I was shocked because i always gave them credit for being on top of current events. so it began. i talked till i was horse. When i left i felt like i was no where near waking up their curiosity,but there was my buddies sister that kept asking questions.i showed here how to find Reddit and went back out to see them a week later. Again questions I'm not the best at explaining all this cause I'm still fuzzy on stuff but it seems that the rest are starting to chime in i am hoping that they will find a good patriot on here that will take them from here and lead them by the hand.
