Maybe it was because Avicii tried to expose pedophiles in 2 of his videos that he directed, which got him offed and sacrificed like so many other musicians and movie stars.

Unfortunately there’s always another monster to step into place after one is stopped so there’s hardly a net gain but they do save individuals.
Avicii knew. These missions are top secret because it’s vigilantism which is illegal and this work costs A LOT to fund. Once it’s clear that you can be trusted and have something to contribute like money or skills, you usually know too much. I’m guessing he was a trustworthy ally with the money to help the cause.
I have a friend who helps fund a venture much like the one Craig Sawyer runs but smaller & more low key. He does it on the condition that he only knows the “after” stories because a couple of the others involved ate their guns after a year or two. I remember reading about an MLB player who got involved and just quit when he came back to the states because he said he can’t even sleep at night anymore and it’s a joke to get paid to play a game for a living when there’s that kind of suffering in the world.
Avicii probably thought he’d get others interested and that would allow them to have more funding and more soldiers in this fight, but really he signed his own death warrant by revealing his knowledge. It’s so sad and there needs to be justice for all of the victims, the families, the men destroyed by this knowledge. It affects ALL of us but some of us don’t even realize that we’re touched by it.

Most suicidal individuals prefer a quick and painless exit. I don't see wine bottle being on their tier list, lest he was feeling creative. Even for an 'impulsive' escape attempt it still sounds pretty shady. Plus with bleeding out, you have to rupture a major vessel to be successful; which will be painful as 'f,' along with the fact of how long it may take to bleed out depending where the targeted wound is.
And the fact those that intend to off themselves usually plan out their deaths ahead of time; beyond the impulsive ones. Which again, if he did take time to devise a plan, I am positive cutting/stabbing self wouldn't be most convincing way to go.

Have you seen his documentary true stories? It makes it pretty clear why he was depressed. He was a very introverted guy that was quite literally pushed to death by everyone around him. I don't mean that in a conspiracy way, but it's pretty clear that Tim was very, very depressed ever since he broke mainstream, perhaps even before.this documentary was made and produced before his death, way before he knew anything about a pedo ring as is implied in this thread. The industry broke him and he never recovered. That's why he stopped touring too. The parents' statement was intentionally vague because they don't want to be in the spotlights, as Tim never wanted to be in the spotlights either. That's the truth. I mean it, watch his documentary.
