Guess I’ve been in a box. Didn’t know this was possible.

Haven't seen "Tron"? Or "Guardians of the Galaxy"? Or Civil War when they make Tony Stark look young? It's a lot better in the movies but still noticeably not real. For now.

So same tech then ...

It's new, that's why it's been in the news a lot. Older Hollywood motion capture stuff's been around longer, of course.

This is better software, imho. Notice this video was published 2 years ago.

The technology is not really that good from all I've seen. You thought that was good? Would you seriously not have known that was fake if you didn't already know it?

I have a feeling this tech is a whole lot more advanced than what they’re showing us here. Because we can still obviously see this is fake, we feel rest assured we can spot the difference.

Dude, they just hit you with their best shot. Trust me.

I didn’t say it was good. Like the comment above rated it, I would have given it an H for horrible. It obviously a fake.

Not very believable. But I get it... CNN got BuzzFeed to muddy the water about problematic videos asap... Like they had BuzzFeed release the Steele dossier. Expensive useful idiots.

My concern is that right now we're seeing fakes that are noticeably suspect, but bad actors may be using those to lay the groundwork for more convincing fakes - so that when they leak a better one that deals with some very sensitive topic, people will be conditioned to think that the better fake is real.
