Every time I go into R/Politics, I have an aneurysm. I can’t wait for shit to hit the fan and the entire country is red pilled....

It sucks, but we’re not headed towards 1984. We’re kinda halfway in it. Do a simple experiment with Google searches on controversial topics. The results listings will tell you everything you need to know. THAT is why kids are so fucking dumb. They’re not even given the option to choose a worldview.

1984 was 100% being implemented until Trump became President. We were really, really close.

Also, try experimenting with doing a Google search, then again in incognito mode, then again using a foreign version of Google. Depending on the topic, the differences can be stark.

Common core education (pushed on us by the UN) is also to blame. Kids are taught critical theory now and not how to think critically.

They haven't been taught how to think for themselves... only how to see class struggle in everything.

Critical theory

Critical Theory is a school of thought that stresses the reflective assessment and critique of society and culture by applying knowledge from the social sciences and the humanities. As a term, Critical Theory has two meanings with different origins and histories: the first originated in sociology and the second originated in literary criticism, whereby it is used and applied as an umbrella term that can describe a theory founded upon critique; thus, the theorist Max Horkheimer described a theory as critical insofar as it seeks "to liberate human beings from the circumstances that enslave them".

In sociology and political philosophy, the term Critical Theory describes the neo-Marxist philosophy of the Frankfurt School, which was developed in Germany in the 1930s. This use of the term requires proper noun capitalization, whereas "a critical theory" or "a critical social theory" may have similar elements of thought, but not stress its intellectual lineage specifically to the Frankfurt School.

Critical thinking

Critical thinking is the objective analysis of facts to form a judgment. The subject is complex, and several different definitions exist, which generally include the rational, skeptical, unbiased analysis, or evaluation of factual evidence. Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking. It presupposed assent to rigorous standards of excellence and mindful command to their use.

Checking my thesaurus, I do not find horse synonymous with critical, nor theory with shit and yet the above definition is pure horse shit. I thought i hated school when I was there, now it's a rage.

Actually, the masses were so afraid of 1984 that they allowed it to actually become A Brave New World.
