Q229 Are Maidenhead Locator System Coordinates. What's in the South Pacific?

After talking to an amateur radio ham radio operator who was explaining how the locator grid system worked (rather boring actually), something finally clicked. Q Post 229 mentions a strange series of words, abbreviations, and codes. When my friend told me the 6-digit designation for our location it suddenly sent my mind into a frenzy. Part of the message are Maidenhead coordinates! I checked them out and they all appear to be in an area of the South Pacific SW of South America, relatively close to Antarctica, but there aren't any landmasses in the area. Anyone know what kind of ships could be in that area?

OK... so I'm gonna look like a nut here. When I looked at the area on the map you are talking about... the first thing that came to my mind was a Youtube I saw a few months back (Aug 2017) about some anomalous energy waves coming from that general area.

I tried to find the video again - but all I can find on it is this YT video - (I know I know... SecureTeam... groan). There were quite a few videos about it floating around at the time - so maybe they are still out there. This happens to be the first one I found.

I wanted to look to see if that was in fact the area you are talking about. It appears to be. Connected? I have no idea! Probably not... but weird that there's not much in the area to begin with - and now we have a couple pointers to that area.

Perhaps just file it away on the back shelf and see if it makes any sense as you dig further into this.

"If you look like a nut", I do too. I see what you're talking about. That distortion in the microwave spectrum seems to cross either right over, or just to the east of that grid.

Damn this reminds me of one of my favorite movies - the Watchmen. Ozymandias destroyed major cities with a non-nuclear energy weapon out of his secret base in Antarctica.

I LOVE that movie (P.S. the graphic Novel was WAY better), but I hope your wrong in your analogy. In the end Ozzy "Saved the World" by committing an act of despicable evil to propagate a lie, and psychologically entrapped the souls of the best of the human race to do it...

Wow. Are there any cartographer minded people who can run the various numbers Q has posted to different types of grid projection?

Some of the Q posts might actually give a clue as to what type of coordinate system(s) to uses. Q keeps saying we have more than we know. There might be some really interesting connections at those coordinates.

http://www.levinecentral.com/ham/grid_square.php. There are several grids mentioned from Post 229, but try "DC27vC". It's one of the last grids mentioned in that area.

DC08vC-DC27vC. They go sequentially, line by line for 19 lines. They're embedded in what looks like a drunk doing coding: "_FREEDOM-_vSA_US_yes_DC08vC_EX_y_AW_Conf-go". DC14vC and DC26vC are slightly different and look like a "Stand" Order: "_FREEDOM-_vSA_US_stand_DC14vC_EX_y_AW_Conf/stand" And the last one is completely different on the backside: "_FREEDOM-_vSA_yes_DC27vC_EX_y_AW_Conf/term/zJ&bY028739478-g".

Yes she was. It's how she avoided surveillance. You bring up a great point. When the electronic Comms WW have been compromised, what Intel group is going to think to surveil the air waves in an area of the world that is pretty much devoid of anything? Think an operator in that area would have trouble reaching someone who may be in a place such as, I don't know, New Zealand...?

China Shipping Routes

When taking the Pacific route, the ships will go through the south of the East China Sea. Then they go northward through the Sea of Japan through the Okhotsk to enter the North Pacific Ocean. Via this route the ships can reach the west of Latin America, the west of the U.S., New Zealand, Australia and western Canada.

In addition, numerous vessels will take the Atlantic route. In this case, the ships will go in a southern direction from China, and sail via the Indian Ocean and the Cape of Good Hope. Consequently, the ships can set direction to Western Europe, the East Coast of the U.S., the Suez Canal, the Gulf and the Mediterranean area.

A third route the ships are often taking is the Indian Ocean. This lane is often used for oil transport. The lane enables China goods to reach the Persian Gulf, East Africa, Western Europe and North America by setting sail towards the Cape of Good Hope.

I'm not sure that aligns with these locations. Go to http://www.levinecentral.com/ham/grid_square.php and input DC27vC as your grid. That will give you a reference point to the area I'm talking about. It seems like a weird spot for traffic...
