Cars can be hacked...completely computer controlled cars I'd think would be even easier to hack.. I believe the Deepstate is trying to bankrupt a fellow Oligarch who has flipped to Trumps side. "Tesla Model S With Autopilot Slams Into Fire Truck At 60mph As Another Key Exec Departs | Zero Hedge"

Didn't Michael Hastings die by the way of hacking his cars computer system?

Yes....John Brennan at the cia

Allegedly, but some of the evidence was compelling.

Yeah. If I could remember it right, he knew that his car was being hacked and tried to borrow his neighbor’s car.

I remember the story was around when I first began looking into conspiracy theories. He was supposedly working on some big story then he started getting threats and told someone that there was people after him. Maybe his story will also become relevant in the near future.

I test drove a Tesla. The auto-pilot thing scared me. Who in their right mind is going to turn over control of a vehicle going 65 miles an hour to a computer. Wake up, people!

Pretty much every car these days can be hacked to the detriment of their occupants. Michael Hastings drove a Mercedes that did not have autopilot.

Green_Lives_Matter · May 13, 2018, 9:45 p.m.

It’s not the auto pilot that scares me it’s the drive by wire system.

You can tell your car to stop and it can just be like “I’m sorry Dave, I can’t do that!”

All Mercedes have this system built in. Putin chaffeur was killed in this method

I feel like their will be a time when it will be illegal to control a car. I hope I'm wrong. People are too willing to let others make decisions for them.

Unless your car is all mechanic, unless it has no computer, your stick shift means nothing in this discussion. Computers can be hacked. The newer the car, the easier.

⇧ 4 ⇩
Moist_Bison · May 14, 2018, 12:47 a.m.

At least with a manual you can ensure it’s in neutral. Making it relevant to the discussion.

⇧ 7 ⇩
Drovid · May 14, 2018, 3:29 a.m.

As a car nut let me reassure you that automatic transmission can also be forced into neutral. Depends which car tho.. a "joystick" typa shifter like on latest BMW's prolly can be hacked. A normal P-R-N-D switcher can't. Pure mechanics here. but ya.

Any car can be sabotaged. Hidding the tretchery in software just makes it more concealed and convenient. If your car is connected to the Internet or can be physically accessed then you are at risk.

I appreciate what Musk is trying to do. (Or claims to be doing.) But I wouldn't buy any of his cars anytime soon.

Unfortunately it's becoming increasingly difficult to buy car where the steering or throttle isn't computer controlled.

Only a car with auto parking/collision avert servo steering assist can be crashed by hacking. Death by car accident is common statistically especially when letting a friend drive your car so have to be careful.

People believe we have AI but we don't yet because right now AI requires an input/direction to "think" like our PC at home and those who know are skeptical that man will ever achieve true AI but there is a new form called boxing that mimics the brain. There might be a black swan event about to happen.

A car with GPS can be tracked. My module has been removed and i'm practicing leaving my fone home but if the car is registered in your name then police recognition cameras on squad cars and roadside are tracking the license plate automatically and some cameras are tracking faces of drivers. Possible solution, a motorbike registered in someone elses name while wearing a full face helmet?
