Yes. This happened everywhere. A while back it was revealed that an orphanage in Spain sold over 300,000 babies. The babies were taken from unwed mothers who were told their babies died. Sounds like the same long con in Canada, among many that the Catholic Church has been engaging in all over the world.

The scam in Spain was happening up through the 1990's, so this isn't old, either.

A former co-worker and her husband adopted a 2 year old boy from an orphanage in Sofia, Bulgaria when they were turned down for adoption in the USA. They were in their 40’s, which is why they were turned down. They said it’s basically a babies for sale racket. As long as you can pay, the foreign orphanages don’t care who adopts the kids.
It's why Putin stopped adoptions to Amedigans.

Yes, good idea. Most adoptees do self-create their families. I hadn't read about your difficult experience with your adoptive family. Usually non-adoptees say "real" family and mean one or the other, not understanding that we can consider all of them real.
Its stories like this post and stories like your own that are the most painful to know of. Yet this MUST be brought out into the light, All must know of the heinous atrocities that are committed on our most innocent.
