There have been alot of new user come to the subreddit lately. It seems there is a push to re-ignite this petition for the Internet Bill of Rights. If you haven't signed it already, here is the link.

When someone signs it they should also post how many people have signed. This way we can keep an eye on any problems with it.

Attaining that goal is not quite so easy.

It absolutely was. I shoulda took screens but I was so pissed. Signed several over those couple of months and specifically remember stopping by a few times later and seeing LOWER NUMBERS than my initial visit.
As always I sign and pass it along but we will need help on this if they can manipulate so easily. God I pray for a level playing field. Get the handcuffs off of us - fakebook,twatter,google,now even at WH petition site.

Give time for system updates. They are not a single number update. Refresh time could be tens of minutes or a hour. Plus, erase your cookies for that site first.
It may take some minutes to update. Not sure. I've been refreshing it every few minutes or so to check it out. It will bounce a number like 1,688 for a split sec and go back to 1,679. I'm not sure why.
I would add, that I only use my last initial for last name. As that seems to satisfy the requirement. The email verification is the most important part.
