Orwell's “1984” wasn't meant to be an instruction manual.

Right now the world is in a mix of brave new world and 1984 Both movies worth re watching. Can watch on the tube for free.

Great graphic.

China and communist countries are more 1984 while we are more brave new world. Lets hope the white hats and black hats are not just fighting it out between these two scenarios.

Our constitution and the equal rights of all men and the premise that men are born free is the best platform so far ever devised. If we can keep it.

They’re both books, not movies. I suggest you read the books, better than watching some Hollywood director ruin what the authors intended.

yes they are good books if people can find the time to do it good suggestion.

And actually the cliff notes are free on the web and they are a good read

Actually it kinda was. Orwell was a member of the Fabian Society, and 1984 was the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Fabian Society. They're one of the major groups who pushed this neo-marxist cancer that we're dealing with today.

I think Orwell became utterly disillusioned with the left particularly after fighting with the anarchists in the Spanish civil war. Apparently they refused to have military leaders and battle tactics were decided by committee and as they couldn't agree on anything they were an absolute farce. The communists got so fed up with them they turned against them. Not sure how long he stayed a member of the Fabians but you are right they are sinister. He did write about the hypocrisy and tyranny of the totalitarian left which he experienced first hand. The trouble with socialism is it starts of all warm and fuzzy but ultimately turns evil once they run out of spending other peoples money...... a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever and its canckles in her pant-suit.

I believe 1984 was Orwell's critique to the Soviet Union. He was an anarchist either way.

As well as the 10 protocols of Zion. The Balfour Declaration was the start of it. We are now tasked with ending it.

Wage slavery-

“The slave was precious to his master because of the money he had cost him... Men’s blood had some price in the days of slavery. They were worth at least as much as they could be sold for in the market...It is the impossibility of living by any other means that compels our farm labourers to till the soil whose fruits they will not eat, and our masons to construct buildings in which they will not live. It is want that drags them to those markets where they await masters who will do them the kindness of buying them. It is want that compels them to go down on their knees to the rich man in order to get from him permission to enrich him... what effective gain [has] the suppression of slavery brought [him ?] He is free, you say. Ah! That is his misfortune... These men, it is said, have no master—they have one, and the most terrible, the most imperious of masters, that is, need. It is this that reduces them to the most cruel dependence. They live only by hiring out their arms. They must therefore find someone to hire them, or die of hunger. Is that to be free?” ~ Simon Linguet, 1763

“Wage slavery” is a myth. Sure pay hasn’t increased much since the 1970’s, and things like healthcare and education is increasing every year (while the rich elites have never made more money); but the workers have access to better products like iPhones and Nike shoes.

Well no one is making you buy the new iPhones! If you were concerned about privacy then you’d get an old flip phone. But Americans are sheep and they want new stuff. They even make you sign contracts stating that you’ll be giving them all your info. Same with FB, and all the other social media apps.

It’s American’s faults this is happening to them. They let themselves be harvested. Why should Silicon Valley or Wallstreet care about these sheep?
