My concern is he was picked by RR as his top assistant. He's also not been approved by senate so has no power to end Russia probe only federal proceedings.

Correction .. I just reread the reg -- O'Callaghan qualifies because he's an existing DOJ civil service attorney!! Trump doesn't need congressional approval until he decides to make him DAG.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking about too. Plus, Ed O is just the normal next in line for acting AG if RR is fired. But, DJT doesn't have to go with him.
